Looking at the comments, I do watch one of these shows every night to relax me. I am a baby boomer, but I don't remember this panel. I like this time machine. The civility and intelligence and wit. And I like Monique Van Vooren.
In the introduction to the Congressman/magician, the announcer made reference to his performing magic tricks with Sen. Estes Kefauver. However, his connection with Kefauver was not alluded to thereafter. Does anyone know what his connection with the one-time extremely famous Kefauver was?
double clutching to me is; quickly stepping on the clutch switching gears each time. with your other foot on the accelerator to go faster or braking to slow down quicker. was nice on my 66 Chevy ll straight six, three on the tree. (steering column), I am spending a lot time discovering these gems of shows. everybody be safe!
Two routine things I noticed on this show. The panelists left their ballots on the desk--I am accustomed to seeing them place ballots in front of them with number showing. Also, Bud concluded with "Good night and good luck." I always expect him to say "Good night and God bless you." It is really fun to see these old shows.
I forgot that Uncle Kenneth was on this show. Just kidding. Monique was more than just a pretty face. She could speak 6 languages and either could read or write two others. Carvel ice cream was great back in the day.
Ooo-whee, when Tom Poston asked the teen driver about soft shoulders and leaned against Monique, he looked down her dress. Probably came up with that question just so he could.
The laugh was because of the wide geographic spread of their home states. The young man from Georgia already had spoken and answered several questions before that one with no response from the audience.
In the second segment the true contestant tried to fool us by acting like he didn't know the right answer (hot water), although he gave the right answer I don't like the deceptive way in which he told the truth.

Kenny Gray was my Congressman back in the day. I never saw him that young, though. I love TTTT.

Game 1: Great responses to Polly's 2nd question. Would love to see a few politicians disappear today (ok, more than a few).
The kid in the 3rd group is really driven.
What a great difference between today's TV shows and this era.
90 percent of todays game shows are garbage and not worth my time....Just my opinion. I could watch TTTT every day!
I'm with you Inno & Gary !!
This is today’s show as of 2021
these programmes have helped me through covid love them
Micky Murray is an exceptional contestant, works for Carvel and thinks it's funny.
I had to drive a double clutch old 1940s truck briefly in college. Clutch to go to neutral, then again to switch gears. Fun times.

Those two things you noticed were missing from these earlier episodes would become routine in later ones.

good night and good luck. thanks bud.

@I've seen the Twinkie and the damage done Judging by your user name, I wouldn’t be asking anybody that - Twinkie.
Re: plumber segment, I just LOVE when Polly is the ONLY one to get it right. (I voted #2, too.)
Even better: "The hot water faucet is the one with the "H" on it." ROFL
The one with the "H" on it!
😅 They had fun with Polly lol. "Left is right!"
Buddy's so funny !!!!
Polly is the best panelists of all !!!!
Tom seems to be in a different flop play in every show.
Good political comments lol. Sitting on the fence. 😊
#1 Congressman(?) needs a better toupee! LOL
His comb over flipped back. I wondered if anyone else noticed. I came to the comments just to see.
Dig #1's hair!
That is one nice comb-over.
In which game ?
I am offended for the young man from GA. Laughter is inappropriate as a response to his accent.
Grow up.
