Interesting fact that most cams let them be webcam, cell phone, whatever, they are equipped with a IR filter. You can check with the tv remote controller. You only see a faint glow. But when you remove the filter... a new dimension emerges. Oh, and space heaters lit up everything as well too.
It turns out the cast iron pans have heat protection but if you stick them in lava they still melt. My point is yes they do have filters but most of the filters can be overcome by adding more and powerful IR emitters however I use a 15 emitter array and it fools the security camera at my Walmart during the day
Walmart cameras have facial recognition and sell the Feds the footage via streaming it right to them. I learned about this hat trick years ago as part of learning that Walmart has that capability. Tilting your head sideways past a certain degree of pitch can mess with facial recognition software as well. You'll look funny, but apparently it works.
If you can find older tv remotes, the Ir leds are big enough that you can solder-wick them off and just stick a bulb in the bill of your hard and use a cr2030 to run it, I'm not sure how long the battery life would be but it should last a while and be easier to hide in the hat. Nice video. Subbed
Depends just on the type on cameras i have a set at home that filters everything thats reflective and goes bad shit with notifications if it makes it work too much
I suppose that would depend on how strong IR leds the camera you're trying to hide from has. To be sure that you can't be seen by the camera, you should have your own IR leds like in the video.
Joshua Boswell I must respectfully disagree. I was a police officer for 28 years. Most criminals are idiots and psychopaths. The dumb ones constitute probably 90%. The truly intelligent ones are few and are difficult to apprehend. Some of these are smarter than many of the cops.
Question: I have security cameras properly aimed at my own yard. My nimrod neighbor across the street has a covert camera in his front window (I can see the green light) aimed at my yard. Can I make a device like the one yuo made but instead place it inside a cardboard tube aimed at his window and interfere with his camera? Or will it only be a pin point ight at a distance? thanks
Omg!! Thank you sooo much! I could tell my neighbors were messing with my security camera I just couldn't pin point what exactly they were doing to mess with it, I had an idea it had to be an IR light or something to that effect before I watched this video now I have proof
Yes what a wonderful younger generation telling people how to commit crime and get away with it!!! so many people praising this irresponsible c*nt I hope you are all victims of vicious crimes, you would deserve it!!
IR is not visable to your eye silly. Only camaras. Think of your tv remote. Do you see the one at the end of the remote flash? Does it blind you? Now take your cell phone and record your pushing the remote button. Can you see the light now?
would a diffusing lens or scattering make it more effective? use lower power and lower profile led? How much battery and how long a run time can you get?
I suspect that would less effective. High intensity from a small point works best. The "glare" occurs at the camera and covers an area much bigger than the LED
I’m pissed because my neighbor has a camera pointed at me. Fortunately, I’ve no windows on that side of the house but they can see me coming and going… day and night. It bugs me.
ive also had neighbors come to me for footage when something happened around their home and they wanted more information. if it were you id just tell you no
This is very cool! I never would have guessed something like this was even possible. Your awesome! Very well put together and easy to follow along with. Thank you sir 🤗❤️
Interesting but flawed because you'd have to remain looking constantly at the camera because when you looked to the side the camera would see you're face.
That was very informative , and I am interested in trying this at home with my camera system . I would love to see a jacket with multiple lites on it !! Just to see how much of a glare effect you can cause and maybe pants to , and walk around a major city at nite and or movie theater or indoor area . And see how many alien 👽 sightings you get . It’s just a thought. Thanks again!
Except one should be weary of inadvertently blinding oneself or another in the process. High powered IR lights are not toys and will cause permanent damage.
The same idea you can use for speed control camera's. You simply use something like a Metz CT45 external camera blitz with a slave trigger on it. The moment the speed control camera gives a blitz, your CT45 will blitz too. Just lay it on the backside of your car behind the window and all speed control pictures get over exposed.

In Japan that is called Intoku or secretly doing acts of kindness, like cleaning a public toilet or picking up trash on an empty beach. It is supposed to bring success and happiness. Cameras are not everywhere.
If you're worried that somebody will use this against you, putting an IR filter over your camera will prevent this issue.

How well does this trick work with driver facing cameras? Lytx makes driver facing cameras and I'm looking for a solution to totally blind them and prevent them from recording my face. thanks.
Rigged this on my license plate and it worked awesome years ago
And how do you know its works? If your in UK, you do know number plates have a reflective background with non reflective fonts. Which will only make it more visible.
@@TRIPPLEJAY00 I live in the US and I built a ring of these on a license plate frame connected to a switch and yes it blinds cameras day and night and because I only have one plate I have never received a red light ticket or anything else so I'm guessing it works great
does it blind cctv?
Great idea. I think I'd like to try it using IR rope lights, and embed them along the seam of the brim. That way even your hat would be less noticeable (no big IR LED up top), and the rope lights would wrap around perhaps better obscuring your face from all angles. You seem to have all the tools necessary to check, so perhaps order some IR rope lights, and give them a whirl? Thanks for a great video. :)
Great video brother, can you make a video on how to distort or cancel or unable to hear conversion on a dash camera? I work for a company and they installed a camera and they claim they don't listen to your conversion but they actually do, so who can I mute my voice?
You forgot to talk about Range and angle of attack, multi camera angles and the simple fact that you just ID,ed yourself as a person of interest.
Welcome to the CIA watchlist comrade. -Ivan
It would draw attention to you from CCTV operator and police stop could follow to check it out.
Noone watches 99% of cameras live. they're just recording to a hard drive and will be deleted some months later.
@@rachelslur8729 very true. At my previous work they were kept for 2 weeks to a month on a DVR. We had someone in there monitoring it but there's no way they could watch all the camera feeds all the time.
@Ivan Clements 👍

That's a cool effect, but keep in mind that In certain situations where the LED is obscured by an object, (e.g. a street sign), if there's a moderately reflective object nearby, like a wall or even another person, the LED might illuminate your face and make you MORE visible to IR cameras.
Since privacy seems to be something you can't afford nowadays this seems to be a great idea
That is the same protection the T90 uses against IR guided missiles. Good video.
I did not know that. That's interesting
A silly base cap??? ;-)
IR illumination, not silly cap...

Purchased the 10watt chip and a led constant driver it was recommended these items are purchased together. Having trouble getting the light to come on. Do I have to solder ??
Interesting fact that most cams let them be webcam, cell phone, whatever, they are equipped with a IR filter. You can check with the tv remote controller. You only see a faint glow. But when you remove the filter... a new dimension emerges. Oh, and space heaters lit up everything as well too.
It turns out the cast iron pans have heat protection but if you stick them in lava they still melt. My point is yes they do have filters but most of the filters can be overcome by adding more and powerful IR emitters however I use a 15 emitter array and it fools the security camera at my Walmart during the day
Also you point it down over your face not into the camera
Brought to you by: TORO. when you need to get past your neighbors cameras at night.
What are the controls to go invincible
Walmart cameras have facial recognition and sell the Feds the footage via streaming it right to them. I learned about this hat trick years ago as part of learning that Walmart has that capability.
Tilting your head sideways past a certain degree of pitch can mess with facial recognition software as well. You'll look funny, but apparently it works.
Facts.
4.8k burglars liked this!
IR LEDs can hurt your eyes especially in the 900nm + range
If you can find older tv remotes, the Ir leds are big enough that you can solder-wick them off and just stick a bulb in the bill of your hard and use a cr2030 to run it, I'm not sure how long the battery life would be but it should last a while and be easier to hide in the hat. Nice video. Subbed
That won’t work
@@jdh7644do you think it would work with like 10, 20, 50, or 100....?
I saw on Burn Notice you could take a laser pointer and blind a camera if you shined it into the lense. Always wondered if that was true.
It is true
@ nice! Thanks for the info!
Just out of curiosity what about reflective tape? How does that effect the cameras?
When an IR light is shined on reflectors it looks just like a light.
A reflector will achieve the same results with no need for a power source.
??? research please
There are glasses like that.
Not during the day
Intellectuals only. A true intellectual would understand it’s a trait criminals often share, it’s not a defining absolute.
My neighbors are doing the same thing with my cameras how can I stop it the police said that I have to be video them but
Actually be at peace for once in your life knowing your not being recorded and shared with mass surveilance
Anything for the DAY ? Tks great vid, but what is the name of what should I get and where to get it ? Tks!
now that i'm invisible i think i just might have to disable all security cameras except i don't know how so you gotta make a video on that also
Cops are currently searching for angels who keep robbing banks.
lol
I wonder what wavelength range toll cameras have.
This guy is awesome! Very easy on the ears. He renews my faith in this younger generation. We need more like him!
Trust me,what he showed is an old trick.i sent him something and if he replies,he will upload it.This one is more dan just being invisible,it is more.
Yes what a wonderful younger generation telling people how to commit crime and get away with it!!! so many people praising this irresponsible c*nt I hope you are all victims of vicious crimes, you would deserve it!!

@@saberovsky Exactly! lol. What a rube.
How to make yourself look obviously suspicious by putting a super visible beacon on your head :)
IR is not visable to your eye silly. Only camaras. Think of your tv remote. Do you see the one at the end of the remote flash? Does it blind you? Now take your cell phone and record your pushing the remote button. Can you see the light now?
@@scottfirman To the operator looking at the cctv monitors, you know, the guy you're supposed to be "hiding" from!
@@scottfirman r\woooosh
would a diffusing lens or scattering make it more effective? use lower power and lower profile led? How much battery and how long a run time can you get?
I suspect that would less effective. High intensity from a small point works best. The "glare" occurs at the camera and covers an area much bigger than the LED
I’m pissed because my neighbor has a camera pointed at me. Fortunately, I’ve no windows on that side of the house but they can see me coming and going… day and night. It bugs me.
i wish my neighbors had cameras
ive also had neighbors come to me for footage when something happened around their home and they wanted more information. if it were you id just tell you no
If you're getting robbed just say no,
the thief cannot take something that you own without your permission.
Can I link a 9 volt straight to IR led chip? Or would it burn up
Actually, I don’t think that a 9V can supply enough current. 9V batts are only 5 watts, this LED is 10 watts. Two in parallel would do the trick.
I see the algorithms have brought us together again...again
I'll remember your tutorial if my cloaking device ever fails me. 😉
4:17 and suddenly smart security officer switched the camera into Visible mode !
Boom brusted ..!! LoL !!
This is very cool! I never would have guessed something like this was even possible. Your awesome! Very well put together and easy to follow along with.
Thank you sir 🤗❤️
Interesting but flawed because you'd have to remain looking constantly at the camera because when you looked to the side the camera would see you're face.
*Update. It would probably work flawless with a head band of lights instead of one.
Can it be used to mask car registration plate from police speed camera?
You should make a complete build. Pwr source, led, integration, ect.
This is pretty pedestrian stuff.
Ouch oh snap
Ohhhhhh! She said this is Pedestrian stuuuuuuff. Daaaayuuuumn... ... ...

You videos are great!! Keep up the good work!!
3:14 Look at that fearsome manly grip strength.
Can you do me a favor and say
“what’s the recommended amount of dedicated ram to a server”
That was very informative , and I am interested in trying this at home with my camera system .
I would love to see a jacket with multiple lites on it !! Just to see how much of a glare effect you can cause and maybe pants to , and walk around a major city at nite and or movie theater or indoor area . And see how many alien 👽 sightings you get .
It’s just a thought. Thanks again!
Except one should be weary of inadvertently blinding oneself or another in the process. High powered IR lights are not toys and will cause permanent damage.
Just caused my home security system to switch out of night mode, which then captured my face. Cool concept for other things though 😉
Same here
thanks pimp, this is going to really help me in my future "science projects"
Can you connect 2 of these onto one Chanzon LED driver...Once connected do they stay connected or only when you want to shield yourself.
Ummmmmmm.... Yeah....

If I was invisible I would beware of traffic
will this work in theaters for blocking the piracy crime
If I was invisible to the camera I would be doing random acts of kindness without worrying about it getting out on social media. Think of it as truly random and anonymous acts of kindness.
In Japan that is called Intoku or secretly doing acts of kindness, like cleaning a public toilet or picking up trash on an empty beach. It is supposed to bring success and happiness. Cameras are not everywhere.
Thanks for the tips, i will be using this for my next heist...😁😂😂🤣
I'm wondering if you can use that same light to blind. To help you see better at night with your night fishing. Can you do it like a flashlight
