I picked up a 2012 JK 4 door Rubicon with 85k miles over the summer for 19k. Single owner and no accidents. I’m loving it!

Now we’re talking!!! Best news I have heard on this channel!! 2024 started with the right foot!!! Back in 2018 and 2019, wife and I had the opportunity to buy a brand new JL, but both went back to the JK platform. Today, she is the proud owner of the last 2018 JKU bought brand new, and I got a used 2017 JKU also. We both adore our JKU’s and never regretted not going for the JL.

I picked up a 2014 JK Polar edition, 2 door, with a 146k miles for $13k, I've put more than 10 k miles, runs flawlessly. Vehicle history report was clean with laser like maintenance done on the vehicle. These 3.6 engines can get you to 300k, have a friend with over 320k miles on his as his daily driver.

My son had a 2019 JL and ended up selling it due to the seemingly endless maintenance issues. Based on his experience I bought a 2015 JK 2dr Freedom. The Jk, in my opinion, has just the right amount of technology to do what Jeep owners want it to do, but not so much that it becomes a maintenance problem. I’m totally satisfied with my JK.

bought a 2015 JKUR 6speed hard rock 44k miles from a dealer aug of 2023. knew it had been wheeled. I looked everything over and test drove it over the course of 1.5hrs. pulled the trigger on it. since then replaced the transmission, oil cooler, thermostat, oil pump. $5k later im hoping its good for several more years. it does however still have nice and taught cargo nets hahaha.

Im from PA also. Bought my 2 owner 07 2 door Rubicon with 42,000 miles for 17,000 from California. Kind of nice to have family there who can look and drive the vehicle before you buy it.

Picked up a 2011 70th anniversary 2 door manual JK last year for $17k with 101k miles at a dealership.
It has its quirks, and I've done around $1500 worth of repairs that were needed.
I also spent around $1000 total upgrading all interior and exterior lights, adding an android audio head unit and a factory looking rear camera.
Overall, worth the expenses vs spending 40k+ for a still 2-3 year old wrangler.

My 2021 Jeep Gladiator runs great, but I still should have kepted my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon Recon edition. This Jeep ws built like a tank!!! If I do happen to run across one with low mileage I'll buy it!!!

I picked up a 2016 Willly's JKU a couple years ago. It was clearly a mall crawling garage queen in its prior life. Put a bumper, winch, and lights on it and have enjoyed many miles of off-roading since. Love my JK!

I bought a 2 door 2016 Rubicon MT with 14,500 miles one owner for $29,500. I thought it was a deal, but I had to buy all new tires, undercoat it, and change all the fluids. I wanted a bestop soft insert, and the factory radio. Several thousand dollars later, but it it very nice now.

Complete transparency here - I am one of those guys who keeps the stock parts and has spent an entire day returning my vehicle back to stock before getting rid of it. I have literally reinstalled the stock exhaust, steel wheels, removed lift kits, parts and pieces, wiring, even as far as replacing stock lug nuts and lights on a vehicle. A keen eye can spot this. But, I’m also the one who has completely babies my vehicle and has hardly any miles on it. I don’t even have 30k on my 2018 JL. I’m the guy who removes parts for the sole reason to reinstall them with antiseize, dielectric grease, and/or a rust preventative coating. Ive only seen my seats and steering wheel for about 35 days, total! My original floormats are even wrapped in a plastic bag in the garage with delivery lint and stickers. Hmmmm. Come to think about it, Matt & Ryan, you want my Sting-Grey, eTorque Jeep? Full warranty until 2027/80,000 miles.

I picked up a 2017 used JKU Rubi last summer. Other than the A pillar leaks from the freedom top. I love it. I do have plans, but on a 2 1/2 inch lift and go from the stock tires to a 33 inch tire. I’ll be looking forward to following along to the Bild. I’m hoping you address questions like the water leaks and different suspension options for daily driving, Overlanding, and mild off-road use.

My experience with a 2019 pentastar at 53000 ,was a complete fail ,I'd rather get an omish buggy and a horse before that junk engine.

Love my 2018 JL 4DR but it was 42K not 56K. Add in the things that’s broke… 6 rotors and 2 brake calipers so. And I think my heater core is about to Stellantis me hard at 70,000 miles. I’ve done all services mind you and never off-road or tow’d. My Mazda CC/( in comparison. Oil. Only oil.
25K buy mine! Full Hard Top mostly highway miles driving kids from LI to PA colleges
New Jeep mopar tires at 46K and front and rear brakes and rear rotors at all services.
New front brakes / rotors and calipers at 66K.

Very cool. If you get some good leads.. especially on the West Coast, would love to get them!! I'm doing some similar content, which is basically a used Wrangler Buyers guide. I'm pretty much settled on a JK, but am also creating content on the JL's as many buyers will want a newer jeep. Will probably have too many videos that are too long, but hopefully they'll help someone, as well as myself as i'm learning a bunch creating the content !! New Subscriber !!

Sold my 07 2 door JK Sahara back in July for $6800. I absolutely loved that thing but had just bought a house and a gladiator and the extra cash was nice. I had custom painted it mojito green, as will as a lift on 35s, all adjustable control arms, track bars, 1 ton steering, PSC big bore gear box, Armorlite flooring, and some other things. But obviously unfortunately it was the 3.8 with 180k miles which hurt the value a lot.

No need for me to further bash the 07-11 but, mine leaked like there wasn't even a hardtop on the thing. The CANBUS caused all kinds of issues. The only engine problem I had was terribly poor fuel mileage. The shift cable would come disconnected under the console a few times... 🤬. No need to further bash them. We all know the issues. I am looking at TJs now and may consider selling my (Very) low mileage JLU Sahara Mojito! to get one.

2011+ was the appearance upgrades, interior etc, but still had the 3.8 and the 4speed auto , I had one with a 6speed manual and it was actually very reliable
2012+ they put in the 3.6 Pentastar and the 5speed auto, however I wouldnt jump at a 2012 model unless the head has already been repaired, see below
Also from personal experience with our 2012 3.6 they had some pretty serious head issues so much so that Chrysler had sent out extended warranties on them which have now also expired. We had to trade in my wifes 2012 Arctic with 198,000 kms due to metal shavings all over the head etc and it was VERY well taken care of.

I feel like the 2010/2011 JKU is much more reliable than 2013-2015ish JKU. The first few years of both engines weren't good but I see a TON more 2010ish JKUs with over 200k on them than the 3.6's
Hp is a bit lower but torque is pretty close plus iron block. I feel like people dog on 3.8s more than they should

Do yourself a favor. I owned 2 Jk's. They are nothing but money pits! I put 1000's of dollars fixing them up. From Radiators, to head gaskets, to oil coils and jeeps are horrible on gas. I had a 2016 and 2018. Both had the same problems.
