I wish she would’ve had commentary thru the install.. I’m curious about things like why does she start in the middle and I wanted her to explain how to put in the DE ones and what did she tie the girls half up style with?
This all depends on exactly how much hair you have so in your case i would say probably the amount one would use for 2/3 of a head which would be a little more than 30 for larger locs. I would say somewhere around 40-50 if you want smaller locs. I am no expert btw, i did a google search.
For those of us who can’t afford the dreads you sell what do you recommend?? I really want to get mine from you but financially I just can’t rn but would still LOVE to get dreadlocks even if I have to install them myself :)
check out dreads uk. not sure if its affordable for you or not but you can buy them online there. heard you can get them on amazon too, not sure what quality would be like.
Make your own! I wanted hers really badly too and I don’t think I will ever be able to afford them unfortunately. But I bought a pack of hair on Amazon for $20, watched a ton of UA-cam tutorials and now I have half a head of dreads!
Dallas & Ellie McGee do you make the dreads yourself?? I’ve been searching everywhere for someone who installs synthetic dreads like this. Problem is I’m in Albany NY and ur in Utah ):
Help i really like the idea of getting dreadlocks but I've been told it's cultural appropriation? It's not like I'm going for braided hair just synthetic colourful extension dread locks. Now confused
Okay so: many cultures have had some form of locs over the many many years this planet has been around. People have not always had the technology to thoroughly brush thier hair, thus locs of all kinds started to form, most commonly freeforms at first. Eventually different peoples started creating different types of locs using different methods, each designed either to protect hair, or in spite of damage. Synthetic locs promote hair growth and can be very good if you dont want to commit to a full head of locs. Yarn locs are my peraonal favorite as far as that goes. And long story short, most black people from africa are completely chill with non black people wearing braids and locs of all kinds. I hope i answered your question well😅

Also she linked her website in the description I think you can buy from her there!
I usually buy one set of dreads every year at Tax return time. Otherwise I just can't afford them.
Save up.

What do you recommend to help with slipping
Mine look really weird and spaced out really far on the top. Also the one side of the extension like sticks up cause it’s pretty light :c
How do you wash your scalp with them in?
How do you conceal the ends of the natural hair? I used small bands but the tiny hairs stick out.
How many did you use? I’m trying to buy mines but I don’t know how many I might use on my head. Please tell me
I have 60, but you can totally do 45! Our website is DreadFullHippie.com !
