Dawn Patrol! Trying out some new gear and having a hard time with it... we get into some good discussions regarding major pentatonic as the basis for most improv over major chords, and then adding a few important notes: b3 and a few select others from whatever mode the chord connects to.

Digging these office hours lessons, which tend to be more stream of consciousness and jammy. It's been great to just listen to your playing, which is incredibly melodic and interesting for me, and explanations across many tunes. It's really unlike most any other approach on YT that I am aware. It's starting to sink in and even when it doesn't it's awesome to take in all the proliferation of "melodic rabbits". I love the concept of drawing this into the rhythmic phrasing and nearby notes. To self: need more freestyle practice time which is the best part of being a musican for me in many ways and I don't give it it's due. Cheers!
