wonderful ideas. I'm getting all the youtube help I can as a new art teacher. I did paint cans but mine have wire and pantyhose which I painted. I am stealing your sign language posters and behavior sticks!! One complaint on your video, the intro is long and I had to come turn the volume all the way up while I was listening while working in my classroom (8:00 on a sunday night!). Then at the end it sounded like my speakers were going to blow when you stopped talking and the music came back on. Otherwise an awesome video, thanks!!

What is the size of the mailing tubes you used for the crayons. I'm so inspired! Beautiful classroom.

Just remember that too much stuff on walls can actually confuse some kids and they won't focus especially kids with learning disabilities.

Everything looks great! One suggestion... your bathroom passes. It would really help children to stop seeing pink for girls and blue for boys. Also, you may have gender fluid kids in your room that are neither boy or girl, or both boy and girl. I use two bathroom passes, one yellow green and one green blue. Student can pick either, and something this small speaks volumes.
Thank you for sharing your great ideas!

I want to be a art teacher but everyone tells me it isn't worth going to college for because you don't get paid a lot and there aren't a lot of job opportunities.

Jada Melton to be honest it just depends. Art teacher is much more competitive than general studies, that is if you want to teach primary. I see openings for primary all the time for general teachers. But specials teacher like art, music, pe, etc are much more hard to come by. If it is what you want to do then go for it, but i won’t lie and say it’s an easy job because it definitely isn’t. It is very rewarding in other ways, like if you enjoy seeing children learn and create art, and the state you live in will affect how much money you make. I live in Texas, so the starting pay for most public schools is decent. But I know other states that pay more or even much less. Just check into those things by doing some research. Most districts will post their pay rates on their websites.

You will be able to find a job if you apply everywhere and are willing to move after getting your degree.

You can have a bucket with soap and water and lots of sponges for washing hands and tables
