I teach 7th grade and get special notes/pictures every once in a while. I’ve actually created a “memory binder”. It’s just a simple binder with sheet protectors. Any notes, picture, or special thing that a student gives me - I put it in this binder. So every so often I will go through it and see the collection of things over my years of teaching.

OMG! I absolutely love how your classroom turned out. I started watching teaching blogs last summer and I've absolutely fallen in love with them. Whenever I watch setup videos I develop anxiety as well because I'm anxious to see how the final product will turn out. In the end it turns out amazing. You have invested in great items for your classroom. I love what you have done to stay organized and keep your Homeroom and Switch classed separated. I have one year left of school before I become an elementary teacher and I'm thinking about documenting my journey before I graduate. Right now it's just a thought. As someone who teaches at an international school in the middle east, I'm surprised by the fact that you bought those items.....
Decorating is a big part of our job as teachers but the schools are obliged to provide those things and not us.
Ihab geo the school does provide some items, anything in addition to that I choose to purchase. Not all are necessities, but they make me happy.

Thank you, thank you! As far as my skin, I keep it simple and use all drug store products for cleansers, don't wear make up unless it is necessary, never go to bed in make up, and I live and die by MAC's foundation and powder.

Thank you! All of my walls are made out of bulletin board material. So far, I have been able to hang everything with regular nails or push pins depending on how heavy the item is.

No, I did that by choice. :)
We use Study Sync in my district too. I tried it last year and it just didn’t work for my students and my teaching style. This year I’m just doing the novel studies and purchased novel study sets from Joy Sexton on TPT. There are some novel study questions in Study Sync, but I didn’t like them. I am also teaching all the skills through interactive notebooks purchased from I’m Lovin’ Lit on TPT. I’m just going to do my thing and hope our admin and district are ok with it as long as I’m teaching the standards. I came from a district where we didn’t have a adoption and we were using units of study so I think I just formed a resistance to adoptions.
Stephanie Curtis I’m working on my flow with StudySync. I like the platform, but I do need to tweak some things to make it work for my style. We don’t have the option to use novel studies to teach core concepts. They can only act as supplements.

I’m excited for your new middle school content! Nice classroom tour. I was wondering if you got the mailboxes from the school or purchased them yourself. I would really like mailboxes like that in my classroom but I’ve had trouble finding affordable options.
Also, you might already be planning this but I’d love to see a video with more information about your middle school schedule. I was surprised you only have two classes. How many core classes do students take per day? How many electives do they take?
M R I bought the mailboxes from Really Good Stuff. I believe I left the link in the description box. I have two main classes, an elective, and a Universal Access (leveled) class.
