That’s because TFL is a joke. They always want to be first, even if it means taking a trim that sucks (‘24 Tacoma) or a Grenadier without a hugely important piece that people will want to know about.
@@freedompanda9438 So true, I hate it when they take cars with luxury wheels and tires off road. Then they complain about how the car didn’t do well with 22” wheels and street treads. Not surprised they ordered something with a hitch.
Even Tommy Was like WTF dad? No hitch, no power pack, no ladder, no safari roofs....Not as relentless as Andres new Colorado with out cruise control fiasco..but he did let his opinion be known.
Not to mention their towing test videos are more about being a review for the gen y hitch and the trailer they’re towing than the truck. Also a half hour video or more is ridiculous.
@@myauctionaddictionestatesa7451 Yeah, the Grenadier is probably the most important innovation in offroad tech in 10 years and those guys just brushed it off because it had an annoying speed limit warning that takes 10 seconds to turn off. Really???
Well done, Ben! It's very shortsighted to purchase a Grenadier without a hitch. Even if you do not need a hitch, the lack of a hitch will negatively affect your resale ability.
My guess is the Ineos team at some point will beat there heads against the wall for this stupid idea of not just having a factory hitch on every UTILITY vehicle. This is near the top of bone headed mistakes they made. I cannot imagine they have saved any money on small production runs by leaving it off, and having to modify vehicles on the assembly line, not to mention the software chaos.
Can you tell me about the hitch? My grenadier came with a 2" ball and I need a 2 2/16 to fit my horse trailer. Will any hitch off the market fit the Grenadier? I thought I had heard there was an issue? Thank you.
The reciever is 50mm ,2 inch wont fit , the ball should fit , it ill depend on the thread size . 50 mm hitches are available here in Oz ,I have a couple to suit different trailer heights .
Good video. You mentioned hooking up to the trailer brake...does the Grenadier come with a Trailer Brake as standard as part of the optional extra tow package ?....or is the trailer brake something you add yourself after purchasing the Grenadier
I have a 22 foot bass boat as well, thinking of getting the Grenadier but I'm spoiled with my 22 Tundra Hybrid that pulls my boat at 80 like a dream. Can you tell me how big your boat is and how well it's towing at speed (handling, braking, etc?)
We are lucky enough here ib Oz to have the b57 diesel with an extra 100 m of toque , 550 nm at 1200 rpm through to 3000 rpm never have to rev more than 2500 pulling over 3000kg
I get it: you own it & there’s some buzz about it. But I couldn’t care any less about Grenadier content. I’m not watching the video, I just popped in to comment. So you’re welcome lol.
Thanks for doing this test. TFL refused to do a towing test with their Grenadier because they ordered it without a factory tow hitch.

You did this tow demo with no electric brake controller ??

Wondering same
Thanks for the video, I’ll be towing a bass boat with mine and was wondering how it would do.
