In season four, when the angels were introduced, they had been away from Earth for a while, on purpose. They had stopped messing around with things. Even before they backed off, their interactions with humans were limited. Not since biblical days had they had the level of interaction that Cas had with Dean. Maybe not even then. It would have been bizarre had they *not* humanized from their sudden repeated contact with humans.
It was a wtf!!!! moment when cas said to Raphael , "Maybe someday but today u r my little bitch" but i laughed like hell when dean said "What he said" 😂
Yep! You have Gabriel who can create entire Pocket Dimensions literally without any effort, Lucifer who can slaughter an entire group of Pagan gods, Raphael who can summon a massive storm with absolutely pouring Rain and strong winds, and then Michael who can obliterate very powerful angels like Anna with ease and can perform resurrection and time travel with complete ease like it's a simple piece of cake. Each of the Archangels were amazing in Season 5. I LOVE how in Michael's and Raphael's first appearances in vessel, the music turns into a dark or powerful ambience that sends shivers down your spine. Now in season 13, they treat Archangels almost as if they are your regular monsters of the week.

Yeah, until they absolutely diminished the Archangel's behavior in season 13, They made Gabriel come back as an absolutely Terrified of literally everything prisoner of Asmodeus, like, seriously? I don't care how much Gabriel's capture makes sense, the guy can create time loops, wormholes, and entire pocket dimensions as easy as pie, and he's one of the most memorable characters in the entire show, and THATS how you decide to bring him back? I really like Gabriel, but how they brought him back just wasn't right, and Raphael was awesome except for once he died, he was completely done for unlike everyone else, I'm sorry, I'm not spreading any hate, I LOVE this show and the Archangels with the PASSION, but you have to admit, some of their decisions in later seasons kinda sucked, season 5 portrays the Archangels PERFECTLY.

Yeah, until they absolutely diminished the Archangel's behavior in season 13, They made Gabriel come back as an absolutely Terrified of literally everything prisoner of Asmodeus, like, seriously? I don't care how much Gabriel's capture makes sense, the guy can create time loops, wormholes, and entire pocket dimensions as easy as pie, and he's one of the most memorable characters in the entire show, and THATS how you decide to bring him back? I really like Gabriel, but how they brought him back just wasn't right, and Raphael was awesome except for once he died, he was completely done for unlike everyone else, I'm sorry, I'm not spreading any hate, I LOVE this show and the Archangels with the PASSION, but you have to admit, some of their decisions in later seasons kinda sucked, season 5 portrays the Archangels PERFECTLY.
I must say, the actor who plays Raphael in this is pretty damn good. Too bad Raphael's vessel got destroyed this season and he'll be taking on a new form, because this guy really knocked it out of the park.
I look forward this season to more about the civil war in Heaven and whatnot.
is it just me who really like Raphael at least with this vessel?. Such a powerfull voice just makes it so much more impressive. He is kinda of a dick but you also get a little sympathy for the angels and their reasons. Still dicks though, just a bit more understand for them
This actor played Raphael amazingly. Raphael was much younger and weaker than Lucifer and Michael and yet he felt much more intimidating and brutal than either of them.

Not that I have anything against females playing the Archangels but, they just don't have that intimidating, powerful aura that the original actors have.

there's only four in supernatural: Michael, Lucifer, Gabriel, and Raphael. Remember Uriel is considered an archangel sometimes and he was castiel's subordinate and killed by anna.
