- After 6 years of journaling in the Baron Fig Confidant, I'm moving over to the Leuchtturm 1917 A5 journal not just for bullet journaling but my commonplace daily journal as well.

I’ve been on the Leuchtturm train a few years now. I love them. Moved from Moleskines to these. The wider page really makes a big difference for me.
Just came across this video as I fell down the UA-cam rabbit hole! I’ve been using the A5’s for a few years now as my daily notebook at work. It was an old supervisor that turned me on to carrying a notebook and I began to realize everyone was doing it. I didn’t quite know what to do with it at first but as the months and years went by I realized I couldn’t go a single day without having mine with me. Personally I never got into the actual Bullet Journal idea but overall carrying a notebook is a lifesaver!
One day I hope to have volumes to look back on 😊
Just started with a Leuchttrum A5 bullet journal for work management. Love it! Also switched into it after being a long-term Moleskine user. Loved this video man!
Hi, I love the Leuchturm1917 for bullet journaling and regular journaling too and for a couple of years I now combine it with a ziper leather cover from Galen Leather which holds my fountain pen and scraps of papers too, I tend to move around quite a bit so having one stable unit with all the stuff I need is really cool for me.
I’m a big fan of leuchtturm1917! Im more a pocket size user. I have a bunch of field notes but lately I’m in a battle between using more the leuchtturm jottbook pocket size over the field notes. Even their hardcover A6. Love the feel, how they age, and the sound they make when you open them up. I love how that off white leuchtturm paper feels with pencils (I’m more a pencil user for writing mainly). Awesome video! 👍🏻 I do like the pocket size baron fig but I mostly prefer the size of the jottbook
Fun fact: they both made in Taiwan, but they are barely available in here, I have to order them from the USA
I’ve just gotten started into journaling, and what’s always the same with me is that my brain wants to try and take in every bit of information available and then I get overwhelmed with it all 🤯, I’m currently just writing one page per day of just my thoughts and how I’m feeling etc. but I’d like to get more into it properly, wether that be with bullet journaling or just a little bit of a better structure to what I’m doing just now. Like I say I’m new to it all so just want to make sure I’m doing it right 😂, any advice really appreciated.
Great video!!
Thanks Danny! I made a video about my evening journaling practice and that might be the light structure you're looking for. Thanks for watching and my best to you on your journaling journey!

B6+ paperback softcover in Lemon is my drug of choice. Like the smaller size.
Your stack of notebooks bro...I'd like to see a collab with you and Clark Kegley
Peter pauper press metal stencil for bullet journal. On my second 1917 journal. Looked at archer and olive and did not like bright white paper. Dot grid fan. Current book is going to last 2 years.
For the 1917… it gets a proper usage from me. I throw fountain pens, water color, distress inks, lots of glue, hodgepodge haha. And I have yet to experience a ripped page or bleed through. Lots of ghosting though. The 1917 for me, is so the standard notebook. And for so long it only stood at 80gsm but with the intro to the 120gsm paper… the 1917 keeps getting competitive. The only draw back is that I dislike the A5 size at 251 pages. It’s is too much paper for me. So I tend to stick to softcovers A5 or B6+ sizes. 123 pages is a sweet spot for my journaling preferences. Updates on your bullet journal? Baron fig has grown its color options and accessory line in recent years… and at only 192 pages? It’s a steal!
All good insights. Thank you for sharing! Hoping to put together that bullet journal video before the end of the year. My best to you!
How are you enjoying the Leuchtturm? I’m on my third confidant and have thought about switching as well.
The original ones have a lot more shadowing than the Baron Fig. but the 120g is pretty good.
Great video! What watch are you wearing here? It looks great!
Probably something from RZE.
@@_stevenfoster I’ve never heard of it, I’ll check it out, Thank you!!
Good Video Steven - Stumbled on this Video -- You have a new Subscriber Are you still using Leuchtturm Bujo , switched to their "classic" which uses a little thinner paper or switched back to Baron. I have always like the form of the Baron - but like you said - I dont like the Cover AND I actually Miss the Page # (which I really like for Collections) - I know they have the Clear Habits that covers the Page # -- but again CLOTH style cover which I am not a fan of. Thanks !
Thank you. I’m testing out the Studio Neat Keepbook now. I made a first look video on it recently. I’ll do a full review soon
i really enjoyed this video. Can you tell me which John Q Adams biography you read? I'm interested in reading about his life. Also, I recommend a great app called Daily Audio Bible. The Bible is read through completely in one year in many languages, also a Proverb a day in English. Thanks for a great channel.
The John Quincy Adams biography I read was by James Traub. Thank you for the recommendation!
@@_stevenfoster Thank you very much.
Would've been good to see in side and around the product rather than just looking at you and your reversed cap?
Rhodia is the best for me
