I'm really glad he's doing well. For a minute there he was going through some rough shit but it's nice to see him come out of it and also speak highly of his time in NIN. He was the best guitarist NIN had (and that's me saying this as a Robin Finck fan).
I saw QOTSA play a show inside Newbury Comics in Boston when they were touring with NIN in 2005, Aaron North was there watching the show & I asked him for a autograph but the only thing I had on me was the (Songs for the Deaf) cd, he’s like “this isn’t NIN” I’m like “ yeah I know dude but that’s all I got” but he signed it anyway
With teeth/year zero live era was the last chaos NIN era much in part due to Aaron. So awesome. Not sure how he made the guitar make certain sounds but it added so much. Much love.
Aaron North was very special NIN never sounded so good live and he's the ultimate live performer some cats don't like fame struggle with all the nonsense but he's great just watch him live you will understand how amazing this guy is and was I hope he makes music again with Icarus or NIN...
Thank you RRBG and Aaron! I never got to see you play but really admire your work. The Beside You In Time dvd is incredible! and oh my god that Fred Durst/ elevator anecdote is hilarious!
This was awesome, I always loved this guy on stage. When you brought up the beside you in time dvd I went online immediately and bought the bluray, great live. Thanks again dude.
Didn’t have kill Tony on my bingo card when I started listening to this. Saw Aaron a bunch with nin 05/06. Got into kill Toby 2013 or so. 😮. And Brody. Yes. This guy gets it.
Saw them at the Gund Arena in Cleveland and it was awesome. The projector took a shit during Right Where It Belongs so they scrapped Beside You In Time off the list.
NO FUCKING WAY! I've been looking up Aaron North since i first saw him play in NIN. Him and Alesandro Coratini or whatever the fuck his name is were having a smoke when NIN played the smallest but most awesome show at Cal Poly. I wanted to mark out n say whats up but was a bitch. I saw that tour twice and watching Aaron play is ridiculous he kinda stole the show. Just go watch that NIN DVD. Bad ass. Hope hes doing going and hope to see him play someday again.
Aarons performance in BYIT is the reason it’s my most watched NIN performance.
Yep, i've binge watched it.
Same here
The Aaron North/Jerome Dillon era of NIN can never possibly be replicated. It takes the two of them to make that epic chemistry possible.
i remember him more with freese than Jerome, because once they got back to the states from overseas he got sick and never came back

I met Aaron in Calgary during the With Teeth tour and he was a really easy going dude. Glad to see him doing well!

Good seeing him again. He was great in NIN.
The Beside you in Time NIN tour was godlike! Thanks in large part to Aaron North and Josh Freese.
I hope and prey your health is great Aaron.
And also Jeordie White.. twiggy was awesome with NIN

Love this interview; Aaron is dope! Thank you RRBG!

Such a talented guitarist!! What a great guest
Bout fuckin time Aaron pops back up somewhere, I've been wanting to talk to that dude forever.
Man I’m so glad Aaron is doing well. Super under appreciated member from NIN.

I've watched him performing with NIN down here in Brazil, back in 2005. Amazing performer.
I've been trying to figure out how to play those Aaron North licks from Wish ever since the DVD came out.
Interesting to see some more stories from his NIN/Icarus Line/Buddyhead days. Would have been great to hear about Jubilee!

Expect more Kill Tony in other episodes. Got the old band as guests and Tony himself.
The organized chaos he brought to NIN is unmatched.

So cool to make that transition into stand up. Really enjoying this interview (listening in chunks ☺)

What up north
His rant about Ben sounds delusional.
You can hear Ben's side of the story on EP230. 🍻
