    Lillard to Milwaukee is like Haaland to City. Milwaukee never had a lethal shooter who can stretch the defense thin on the perimeter because Dame has unlimited range like Curry.
    This will create tons of space for Giannis inside the paint and the midrange for Middleton. Dame completes the team. His lack of defense was mentioned but when a player can score 30 ppg and has been historically clutch, a lot of weight can be lifted off of Giannis and Middleton.

    • @rednaskela4830
      @rednaskela4830 11 місяців тому

      Actually a pretty good comparison. Bucks had everything with shooting and defense but was missing the guy who could score 30 points a night in any possible way. City got punished playing without a pure striker in the same way Bucks would be when teams clogged the paint to disrupt Giannis, now both teams have that one guy to make the difference with their precision to outscore the opponents.

    im from oregon, a blazer fan of course. man this hurts but i cant hate dame for it. I agree..... for the bucks the court is going to seem sooooo much more spacious. lillard is a lethal shooter.... and giannis wiith his size, legnth, and stregnth bull dozing to the hoop..... they will have to choose to crash the paint for giannis, or not and guard the deep 3 from lillard and they are both one of the best to ever do it. they will get so much more space just based off of how dominant they each are at opposite talents. Dames defense lacks, hes a little bit undersized but having giannis makes up for that. giannis isnt the best shooter or player to have the game on the line and you need a bucket..... and dame makes up for that. it all makes perfect sense......... on paper. wont know until we see. we also just moved jrue holiday to boston.... which makes them dangerous too. i got bucks and boston in the eastern conference finals.

    8:34 Bucks had the best record in the league, were the favorite (or top 3 at least) to win the championship but were embarrassed in the first round by Miami.... hence the big move this off season. The Bucks needed another premiere scorer, somebody that was a threat from 3, that could create his own shot and was clutch when it mattered.
    Now how good the Bucks might be with Dame.... /shrug who knows. Their play styles are certainly complimentary, more so than the KD/Kyrie Kawhi/PG and Westbrook/Harden duos of the past few years, WAAAY more complimentary... You're pairing somebody who lives in the post in the halfcourt with a point guard, you defend those players exactly the opposite. It really depends on how well they mesh as a team, potential injuries (cause that variable is always a killer) and something nobody is mentioning... the Bucks new head coach; somebody new to the head coaching job (spent 15 years as an assistant). He might just be a bad head coach, nobody knows. There are a lot of what ifs.
    Bucks and Celtics are the odds favorite as far as Vegas is concerned, and there is no sentimentality when it comes to those people.
    How would Jimmy be biased for a player that just left the team he supported....?

    The reason why Brooklyn never worked was a combo of injuries and egos, and when those continue to arise and they fell short of expectations, those three big personalities started to clash in the face of adversity. Dame and Giannis are two great leaders, grinders, and just overall talents. Also, he discussed how the Nets' playstyles didn't necessarily compliment each other while Dame and Giannis absolutely do. He hit the nail perfectly, how do you sell out in the paint to stop the immovable object that is Giannis while also putting numbers on the 3 line to stop one of the greatest shooters of all time in Dame? Its mathematically impossible.
    The Bucks still have an extremely talented if inconsistent Khris Middleton who is no longer expected to be the second star, one of the best defensive and shooting centers in Brook Lopez (who was fantastic last year), and one of the best sixth men in the league in Bobby Portis. Combine that with great defense from Giannis, Brook, and Bobby and thats a tough team to beat on paper. Only consequence is they lose great defense from the star PG they gave up (Jrue Holiday) for poor defense with Dame

    to answer ya Daz, Jxmyhighroller had a similar video a few years ago on Brooklyn's big 3 (KD, Harden, Kyrie), showing how historically great they might be. but that's all theory, Brooklyn's big 3 basically ended in disaster with no championships won. idk if i blame Jxmy for getting excited about these pairings, but they sometimes age like milk. there might be some favoritism involved but I think the only PGs better than Dame are Steph and maybe Kyrie. He really is great, dropped 71 in a game this past season
    there's a good chance Giannis/Dame do great things, they're gonna be a nightmare to guard. but there's also a decent chance Giannis cant stay healthy at the right times or maybe Dame too since he's older. maybe their defense is gonna be an issue too, they gave up a great defender to get Dame. but I do know they both have great iq and decision making, that helps a lot
    oh also, last year the 8 seed Heat upset the 1 seed Bucks in the first round of the playoffs, Bucks went out way under expectations. again largely because of a Giannis injury, but also the Heat just went on an insane run for playoffs. they played great.

    8:26 The Milwaukee Bucks had a great regular season, finishing with a 58-24 record and were #1 in the Eastern Conference. They wet the bed against the Miami Heat (who were the 8th seed, lowest seed you can be to get into the playoffs) and lost in the Conference Quarterfinals (1st Round). Not only did they lose, they lost in 5 games as easily the favorites of the series.

    Calling this a super team is a bit much. He’s getting older and has become injury prone and is one of the worst defensive guards in the league. And the rest of their key players are on the decline. I’m not saying they’re not one of the best teams, but there’s a few reasons to think they’re not invincible.

    • @TahiriVeila13ABY

      If Dame scores 32 ppg like last year... who tf cares about his defense. If Dame has anywhere close to the stat line he had last season, and Giannis is anywhere near his stat line of last season, well..... it will be fun to watch. The Bucks defense was good on paper this last year, in the regular season, against bad teams, and Jrue Holiday (who I love as a player and person) is inconsistent in his scoring, and got torched against Butler in the Miami series. Bucks had the best record in the league last year, they needed a clutch scorer, somebody that could win playoff games, who could shoot them to a win, and that's exactly what they got. How it all shakes out though... who knows.

    • @TES-541
      @TES-541 11 місяців тому +2

      @@TahiriVeila13ABY You should care because defensive players like Dame get super hunted in the playoffs. If they play Denver his lack of defense is going to become the focal point of the series. Again, I'm not saying that they won't win, but Lopez is gonna be 35, Middleton is really all over the place at this point. If you're telling me a team with a terrible permitter defense shouldn't care about that, that's weird to me. But yes they will be fun to watch. But a lot of fun to watch teams lose. I definitely think they'll be better than last year though. But like I said before I'm worried about his injury history over the past four years and that he's only getting older.
