This is by far my favourite film of the year. It really proves how good films can be. Awards should be endless for this piece of art and so he is my tribute to Todd Phillip's "Joker".

I haven't seen the movie in full yet. But, having binge-watched tons of trailers, movieclips, and review of the film, I already identify with the protagonist. I love him.

But dear friend, please hold on until the hellish feelings are gone and you can have a moment of ease again. Life can be shitty on so many levels and most of it is caused by humans and their inventions like social constructions, schedules, expectations etc. Your own mental state and health should always come first

The Joker reflects modern society. The film holds up a mirror to how loneliness causes mental health issues. Social media has made people more lonelier

Too much emotional pain, I can’t watch that thing anymore. Sometimes I think to myself is it acting or is it real Joaquin trying to throw that pain out in the movie...
I think both.
Actually that’s what actors do, it’s one of the most popular acting techniques, you use past pains and apply them to your character. That’s why so many actors have tragic backstories, the deeper you dig the better actor you are

The brutality of his childhood is a secondary factor, to him the indifference of the shrink that he was seeing was every bit as violent as his stepfather's beatings, and as for the assholes he killed on the train? frankly he did the whole world a favour.
1:29 seeing his reaction while being kicked on the ground hits much harder when you learn that he suffered from extreme abuse when he was a kid

The saddest part of the movie is the fact that he’s right.
This story of Joker's life absolutely broke my darkened heart. I felt like breaking down after I saw it. Being a loner in this world is f'n difficult as hell.

I’m not usually a fan of these types of films but I have to say that this picture was brilliant.
Joaquin Phoenix was superb. Probably his best performance yet.
I think this film will help society have a better understanding of mental health and what people who suffer with mental health issues go through on a daily basis. I would never condone or justify violence, but it definitely gives you a better understanding of why people snap after years of abuse.
It can also be used as a lesson on kindness, compassion, and humility. If only people practiced these three things on a daily basis, maybe the world will be a kinder place.

Really true and it's a real eye opener, we human's today had a attitude and what's completes it. It's their proud, you have maybe nothing but still you scratch hard for who, for people. In that sometimes or often we leave a good and lovely heart behind. There are no real grey areas is this film, a peculiar reality that has a marked distinction. The role protagonist plays in the world ? Comedy is subjective., Murray As in ownership. what is morbid about the concept of ownership, In modern times? It didn't compromise world view in stature, texture of the kind of culture we live in. Thus the depression of the age. Dangerous to the orthodoxies of the times, "type of movie" ... comparative to what? haven't checked out silence of the lambs besides the point. Morbid too... is misleading. exploring these dark themes is a consciousness raiser along wit colorful, charismatic character in joker is achievement, the other side of town... Gotham is bankrupt. Great tale of an antihero. No posturing, Reminder of the tyranny of the rat race,

Arthur wanted to kill himself, but as he said: ,,You are awful, Murray!" Arthur died.. only Joker has left. Because you can clearly see that Arthur would never ever said something negative about him. You can hear how cold that was.. you can see it in his eyes.

Joaquin Phoenix will go down as a legend that walked the earth. . His acting skills are just out of this world I honestly believe nobody else could’ve pulled this off. Todd even wrote the script specifically for Joaquin so thank you both for bringing us a true masterpiece of a motion picture. This movie has truly opened millions of eyes across the world and hopefully society can learn from this movie. We are all souls living on this rock embrace one another. . We may be different on the outside but we all bleed red.
well i thought phoenix can't pull this off either but was obviously wrong.. great performance and will go down in history as one of the best iconic acting that was ever put to screen.

Schools teach a child that they can’t retaliate when attacked, but what if someone is picked on and poked at on a daily basis what does that do to a person’s self worth or value. The line in the movie “the system decides what’s right and what’s wrong?”...

The part always gets me when he asks Murray to ask him to introduce him as joke because Murray called him that on the show and he didn’t even remember..... because it goes to show even if you say something small to someone that u might not think is a big deal the other person might take it to heart never forget and could be a game changer.... keep that in mind everyone ❤️

R Francisca-Couldn't agree more, it's why he fantasised about being in a loving relationship with his neighbour Sophie, because he so badly needed someone in his life who loved & needed him. And the part that broke my heart the most is that, up until he finds out the truth about what his mother let happen to him as a child and finally snaps, he was always trying the best he could to treat everyone around him kindly & you could see he just wanted to help others who were feeling down & struggling like he was, you don't see him being mean or cruel to anyone. If he'd had the proper support system in place and people who cared enough to actually listen when he tried to explain something was seriously wrong then things might have turned out differently.

This movie really hit me in another level, I will never forget this performance, as a person who suffers from the prison of mental illness, this was unforgettable
Every now and then a film comes along that rises above extraordinary and reaches the heights of a masterpiece...this is one of those films.
The films that most inspired it are much better. Night and day.

I agree, everyone wants to blame the leadership locally/nationally, but the elected didn't rise from the ground, they were voted in by the willingly ignorant and weak masses of the public. The public is an ass that believes elections will save us, and the politicians are the holes that prevent that option from being applicable.

As someone who suffers from mental health issues, it can be mentally exhausting trying to act "normal" while trying to function within a society that rejects, stereotypes, and demonizes those who are socially and/or systemically categorized as "abnormal"
I think the joker and many like him just might have needed a good friend. Someone to relate to and get things off his chest and not be judged. Things may have been very different

It seems to me like this role as Arthur Fleck/Joker was exhausting for Joaquin Phoenix because he done such an extraordinary job, watching him makes me think of how so many people are treated for having treatable disorders by the system everyday in this country & around the world, it shines a light right threw you and forces us all to pay attention and learn from people like Arthur Fleck 👀
Superlative film, work of art, Phoenix is one of the best actors ever.
This masterpiece appeals to all the social outcasts in the world and is only looked upon negatively by those who fit in with what mainstream society considers to be normal.
This movie is deeply sad and wonderful at the same time.

What's crazy about this is that this entire film could be a joke in the head of the joker, to get people to feel sorry for him, just a long joke to get to the punchline at the end but we "wouldn't get it". This series of events might not have happened, well we know a lot of them didn't and were fabricated in his head but he could be altering the story as he sees fit. The joker has many back stories that he likes to come up with, he can't be understood, he shouldn't be pitied, he's so crazy that he's kind of sane, that's why the joker is one of the best characters ever

Its crazy how much I understand the Joker. When I was younger, I was trashed around and nobody would notice me. I was a ugly guy and a loner. One day, I met a barber that changed my life and people started to notice me. It sid not make me feel better, it made me angry just like how the Jokee felt at the Murray show. I am surprised I have not gone crazy.

This is a powerful movie. This video speaks what so many of us feel. It's been said that as a kid, Batman is the hero, but as we grow older we realize The Joker makes more sense. It's the same as knowing Frankenstein is the monster.
