Absolutely love this I grew up eating this every Christmas time my nonnas would make it such a treat thank you Lidia for being back such good memories love your recipes your great 👍🏻 thanks take care
Looks great. I am going to make it very soon. 2 questions. Can I substitute with sugar with only honey / brown sugar? Do I need to toast both sesame seeds and almond? Thanks again for your good delicious recopies. Happy Holidays 😋
Reminds me of childhood. Sometimes you can find something like this prepackaged, but don't fool yourself. It's not quite the same. My teeth can tell you.
Omg looks soo delicious!! We have a very close type of this sweets in many Arab countries like Syria and Egypt. We make it on special occasions! Thank you for this video 🙏🏻 💘
Hi, I made these Sesame Candy and I love the taste and the texture except the pieces could not be dried separately they stocked together! What did I do wrong. Happy New Year.
Other Chefs take the original Receipts From the Real Country that the Receipts were Originated From and Tweak it in their Own Way..Its not Originated in Italy But Greek . Delecasy.
Actually that is Greek treat not Italian called pasteli and the Greeks make it only with honey so its super healthy,,,Ms Lidia next time do a little research before you misinform people about the origin of a product
In that case, I hope you find your knowledge comforting. I being a citizen of the US on the other hand, suffer from the poverty of cultural traditional foods, except for Native American, because of the youth of my country. If you are Greek, allow me to thank you as a representative of your country for the richness of the food traditions that Greece has shared with the world. You can also use orange rind and put nuts like walnuts or pistachios as well ..
In many places sesame seeds, oil, etc are currently recalled due to salmonella contamination.

So many countries claim the origin of this kind of candy. Does it matter, especially if your intention is to share something good with the world?
@@jamesvoigt7275 Yes it does matter !
