A lot of people complain about tip culture in the USA, which was brought here by Europeans before the USA was a country, but you never hear waiters complain.

Having fun with that anti-Americanism, are you? There are many countries that have far worse rates of violence than the US. Also, it varies greatly where you are in the US. Much of the crime is concentrated in certain places, whereas many places have very low crime rates. And where do you get your absurd 100,000 pounds bill for an ambulance? Translated into dollars-what’s that, about $120,000?-it’s even more ridiculous. Most people have health insurance of some kind, and even for those who don’t, you’ll still get the ambulance, whether you can pay for it or not. That’s the law. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

@@atlanta9286 Because the UK is a country that needs a functioning government, thus requires taxes to pay for civil servants and military defense, while Hong Kong is a colony for trading. To facilitate trade between England and China, and later any nation, the British created Hong Kong colony it import and export Chinese goods, which is simplified by having no taxes. Everything coming in or out of the colony isn't taxed, so the only thing that any one needs to do to trade is pay shipping fees, super simple and attractive to people wanting to do business
