ive watched so many e collar guides ... surprised and happy how informative this one is .. i learned so much and i already felt like an expert . thank you
Excellent guide to the Mini 302! This video gave me confidence and knowledge like no other training video I have found. Thank you! I hope Educator Collars recognizes what a value you've added for their product. I was about to wrap it all up and ship it back until I watched this helpful and informative video.
Just recieved my ET-302...2 DOG SYSTEM. Thank you very much for a well informative tutorial on the Mini 2 dog Educator E-Collar. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year from Australia. 👻
Thanks for this thorough and professional tutorial! I learned a lot and feel so much more confident with this device. Question… I notice the collars can’t stim at the same time. Is there a way to fix this? For example… I have 2 reactive dogs that see a squirrel at the same time and both dogs bolt towards it… how do I correct both dogs simultaneously? And in this scenario it would nice to be able to boost both of them but I’m not seeing that you can do that either. What do you recommend? Thank you!
Thank you for watching Kristine. Unfortunately there is no way to stim 1 dogs at the same time. What I usually suggest is whichever dog listens the best or is more of the leader (for example if i call my one dog both usually come because one follows the other) then i call that dog first. I suggest practicing getting fast at recalling one after the other and boosting if needed (you can set separate boosters for each dog). I recommend to practice this with just the remote at home and time yourself to increase the speed of your recall/pressing the buttons. Also if you work on a quick recall with your dogs you should be able to call both back separately within a few seconds. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions. @@valleycaninetraining Thanks for asking that question, Kristine....and the answer is understandable and with my two dogs, a boarder collie mix and a lab mix, the lab is the leader. If I may add, Miss Valley Training, I am soooooo glad you made this video. I have had the 2-dog system for more than a month and just learning how all this works is a bit daunting!!! I have watched, or tried to watch, more than a few video instructions...well, probably more like 10! They are either full of "uuuhs", too hard to understand or not well prepared at all...one lady even was trying to describe it while taking care of an infant that wasn't too happy with what mama was doing!!! 😬 Anyway, so glad I kept looking and found you. Your voice is pleasing, great diction, you are prepared and organised, it seems you know the material very well, as well as all the Educator parts. The only thing I could suggest is the movement of the items, when close to the camera, it gets blurry and I felt a little sea sick trying to keep watching the transmitter while you were moving it around. Otherwise, your video is head and shoulder above everyone else, even the folks that make the Educator. That guy was pretty bad...😒 So, I will be tuning in again and again to keep up with what I need to practice next - many thanks for the excellent video!!!
Great video. I have a question about toggling the controller without stimulating the dogs. Let's say the controller is on dog 1 and I want to turn the light on for dog 2. Is there a way to toggle to dog 2 without issuing any kind of corrections (tone, vibrate, or stim)? The particular case would likely include a level lock on dog 2 already set so turning the dial to zero might not be a solution. Thanks.
So my mini educator came today. Turns out you can toggle between dog 1 and dog 2 without correcting the dogs by using the T (tap) button. it toggles between tap, dog 1, and dog 2. Perfect. I can easily put a light on for dog 2 without having to correct it, but while keeping the locked in stim level.
Thank you for a very good demonstration. What is the difference between the Mini 302 and Mini Et-302. I want it for two dogs; one 20 lbs. the other under 10 lbs. Will this system work?
Hey Leigh I think you meant to act whats the difference between the mini educator et-302 and the micro educator. The difference is the size of the receiver on the collar. The micro is smaller and lighter for smaller dogs and the mini is a regular sized ecollar receiver. For your dogs i would suggest either 2 micro collars or one micro for your 10 pound dog and a mini for the 20 pound dog. Thanks!
Sometimes when I change the level on dog 1 it puts dog 2 to the level I set for dog 1 … how do I avoid this. Another issue I have is if I am looking at screen on dog 1 and I forgot what dog 2 level is on how to I see dog 2 level without stimulating dog.
I haven’t watched the video yet but I hope it shows me how to take the collar off the two dog setting. It’s on two dog setting and doesn’t do anything.
Make sure the level is set to 0 and only M is displayed. The instructions aren't real clear about that, but I found a video on here that was more detailed.

Exactly. use the T button to switch between the 2 dogs to turn on the light.

Awesome… I def was doing some things wrong!
What is the difference between contact points?
Is there a way I can switch between D1 and D2 without vibrating or stimulating them?
To switch between dogs tap the T button without tapping any other
Thank you!!!!!
Can you tone without stimulating? Or does the stim always follow the tone
As long as the collar T button you can tone, it just depends on your training
Thank you!
I haven’t watched the video yet but I hope it shows me how to take the collar off the two dog setting. It’s on two dog setting and doesn’t do anything.
Tap the T button twice to switch between dogs without stimulus.
can you tone and then vibrate
No, they're on the same button so it's one or the other
how do you switchnit bacl to 1 dog. Following directions and it does not work
