    A great review for those of us who put away the camera for too long, and no doubt a superb launch for new photographers. Thank you!

    Hi Jason, thanks for making this video, it really made me appreciate what my Sony can do for both stills and video! As a first time user of this type of camera which variable ND filter would you recommend for my a7 IV as I am using it to make videos of small N gauge railway models both indoors and outside events. Thanks for taking the time to share your expertise.
    Kind regards,
    Dace B

      You would be surprised, but I do understand where you are coming from don't get me wrong! My Sony A7 IV Beginners Guide has helped a lot of people as you can see here: ua-cam.com/video/Vt3g42Y56jI/v-deo.html There are a lot of people looking for beginner oriented tutorials that might not be beginners per say, but still don't know how to use their new camera and prefer an easier tutorial approach which is what I try my best to provide. All the best, Jay

    Jason which variable ND filter would you recommend for my A7 IV please?

    • @Jason_Hermann
      @Jason_Hermann  Рік тому

      I have the NiSi 67mm True Color ND-Vario | 1-5 Stops Variable Neutral Density Filter: geni.us/wwk7Dfq I would recommend that filter, but you will need to get the correct size for your lens or lenses. I would get the size filter required for your largest lens and then get step up rings (geni.us/xMIY) for your smaller lenses, so you can use the larger filter on those also...

    • @Asborian
      @Asborian Рік тому +1

      @@Jason_Hermann Jason thanks for responding these are to two lenses I currently use SEL24105G FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS and the SEL90M28G E Mount - Full Frame 90mm F2.8 Telephoto Macro G Lens. So would that still be the right filter for both?
      Dave B

    • @Jason_Hermann
      @Jason_Hermann  Рік тому

      Ok, so your FE 24-105mm lens has a 72mm filter thread and the 90mm has a 62mm filter thread. Therefore I would go with a 77mm Nisi variable Filter ND Filter: geni.us/S9x5Y and the step up ring kit geni.us/xMIY which will allow you to use it on the smaller 90mm lens and any other same size or smaller lenses you may get in the future. I Hope that helps and all the best, Jay
