- With so many LEGO Marvel minifigures, we have lots of potential to upgrade them and give these characters the love and detail they deserve. Today I'll be showing you a variety of ways to upgrade your minifigs with a variety of parts and accessories at a range of prices, and even a bit of photoshop

That Rock Star hair works really well for Thor! The Edna face doesn't work for me with Katy because the gap between the eyes and mouth feels too big, because of the glasses.

That's exactly what I was thinking, how clever it is to include a cloth version of strange's cape in a cheap set for the folks that don't like the rubber one
Supposedly, the Rubber one is cheaper to mass-produce for LEGO.
And it's kind of truth - since Rubber is actually cheaper than Cloath.

It literally looks like the Suit itself.
Sharp eyes.
Specific Spider logo.
White/Silver Web all over the Suit.
Sharp cuts that de-touch Red and Blue.
Everything is on point...
But what about the legs? The official minifigure is missing the boots. Idk about you but I think thats pretty important

I don't remember the suit having no boots.
In the movies Spider-Man has red boots and the LEGO version is missing that so you need to fix that
For Thor, there is a piece pretty similar to the Mandalorian capes in red that comes in a Thor Ragnarok set

For Gwen, you could also use Lloyd’s hair from the Ninjago movie to match the Gwen from into the spider-verse

it's a crime that stealth suit Steve does not exist in the Lego universe, the fact that Peggy got that suit just feels like they're rubbing it in

Awesome upgrades! My favorite is the Gwen Stacy one, it looks so much better and looks a lot like Emma Stone's version of the character from The Amazing Spider-Man movies! I also like that torso you used at the end for her a lot better than the Hermione one you used the first time around!

The doctor strange cape that is included in the set is way better in play category, the cape is sort of sentient so it’s good being able to easily detach it
Personally I also prefer the hair from the 2018 Dr. Strange figure so I just ported over both head and hair to the new more accurate body

For Gwen Stacy I would use the Supergirl minidoll hair and keep the green jacket since it's a nod to her established look.
Hi Holly! The mandalorian style cape is available in the regular red color in the largest ragnarok set, thats where i got mine, it is a spongy material tho.
i have an idea for the infinity saga Shuri, add the legs from the green Mandalorian from the Mando battle back, it lokks so much like the real one and fits perfectly haha

I particularly love what you did with Gwen and YES! I thought I was the only one who didn't like the new Doctor Strange cape! It makes his shoulders look very hunched. I was looking at getting the set, but I wasn't keen on his minifigure until you did the swap out! (I do also agree in the 2018 one being better, but most of all, as a stop action video maker, I hate that they gave his beard gray on the new one and white on the old one! Switching scenes and beard colors would look a bit odd XD)

for the 2004 spiderman. make sure your duel molded legs are super tight and can just move and it will stay and perfectly
I took the legs off my Spider-Man from 2002 for dual molded legs and the hip connection is even stronger now

I think Icarus from externals needed the most drastic upgrade

The legs for okoye (or however tf you spell it) literally look like someone took off dual molded legs and replaced them for balck legs, the printing on the torso looks cut off
For Thena i think You can use Sersi's hair in light yellow

I think it's VERY likely we'll be seeing another Tobey Maguire Spider-Man figure, so more accuracy isn't out of the question. And I'll just leave it at that lol

@@TheCursedCat1927 Nothing's wrong with it, I totally agree. However, there's a lot more *potential* now, because Lego has come up with a lot more production techniques since. Dual moulding, leg printing (and side leg printing), arm printing. There's just a possibility for details that they just couldn't add at the time.

But the dual-molded legs she gave Tobey looked a bit off, in my opinion.
@@TheCursedCat1927 I think that's actually where the printing would come in, more than likely. Changing the shape of the seam between colors, like on the legs she gave Black Cat.
What I'd do is I'd actually print the dark blue onto the red, to make it not go as high but to define the shape of the "boot" part better. Not to mention, the red on the legs would also be covered in webbing, if I were designing this.
I really liked Shang-Chi, but the minifigs were so inaccurate.

Hey there Holly, clever use of the hall of armor. 2016 Wonder ♀️ with Gold rings for bracelets and Helmet and wings from the 1984 set. Lasso of course but still need to get her shield. 2011 Asajj V with purple tabard from the joker. Black chrome curved Sabers and blue chromed hood with black pauldron cape.

Hmm, I just don’t really like the Luna Lovegood hair in general. The way it steps back and gaps away from the body just looks unnatural, and the arrangement of the bangs makes it look a bit like a mullet.
Do any mini figs actually use that to fit over armor or other body wear so it isn’t just stiffly sticking out?

The new Strange honestly looks more accurate to how Strange currently looks like in MCU.

The mold is basically to make the cape be able to be played with as the seperate character he(she/they/it?) is (are).
Not at all.
It's just cheaper to mass-produce for LEGO.
Rubber costs less than Cloath, especially in those amounts.
They are slowly moving away from Cloath on most of their Themes.
The only reason the "What If" has Cloath, is because it had to as accurate as possible.
@@TheCursedCat1927 You do realize that you can really only have the sentient cape work as a character with the new piece. The old setup 's collar makes it impossible.

or just buy the wm or koruit knockoffs. always more accurate than lego’s.
