The rule of thumb should be.. if you can't see the bottom through the water, nature doesn't want you in there. That would probably save all the lives too.
@@Neckbeef82 sadly I don’t live on Long Island anymore now I live in Tompkins county ny. Yeah I have a huge love hate with LI people are so nice but sometimes it feels like they talk s*it about you behind your back
i live next to the lake and go there a lot, I actually went yesterday and the day before. i love swimming there and I'm not sure about this story. but me and my friends have felt many pulls on our leg before and I guess this solves it.
Careful tho, might be some sink hole wizardry goin on.. that's normally the case when theres underwater tunnel systems, which I believe she mentioned towards the end.
Can't forget st. James manor, mary's grave in setauket, five corners cemetery in ronkonkoma, south oaks and brunswick psych wards in amityville, and the old centereach pizza hut
How about the cemetery off of new highway in amityville by queen of the rosary. My mom told me stories from that place. I never saw anything myself there. Lived 10 mins away from ocean ave amity horror house. Never was a big deal to me
Grew up on long island in the 1960s, 70s and part of the 1980s. I never had any problems at lake ronkonkoma BUT there is a very creepy house located in middle island that is extremely haunted. I won’t say where it is BUT it’s a very old house. There are also very old cemeteries alongside some roads in middle island that haven’t been marked yet. Nobody realizes that people are buried on the side of the road. Historians have found a few of them but there are several still uncovered on the side of the road.
That house is actually not haunted that story was fake yes a family was killed in the house but the owners made that up to make money the house was up for sale i live near it and about a year ago there was a family living there they changed the address for that reason
I call it gilligans islandgrew up in Brentwood now live in east islip i seen my fair share of creepy stuff in cemeteries and been to some haunted houses theres definitely an after life
Grew up in lake Ronkonkoma. Every year @ least 1 male drowned. Yes its true. Coincidence? But it was in a local newspaper called " Suffolk advance " not sure if you can look up history of the paper articles? But if so....there you go ✌️
lol i live by the lake its funny story true people who cant swim drown story ends. my guys of 12+ we do the swim all the time cheaper then a gym. its not salt so its brackishhhh also takes "skill"
I hate to be the one but litterly almost everywhere we walk or station our selves at can be potentially haunted but I'm not going into depth i am z Z zzZzzzZz 💤😴
Whats really scary is my PSEG bill.
You CAN NOT be IN Long Island!
I would never swim in lake ronkonkoma, it’s more polluted Than all of New York City combined and I live in ronkonkoma
And has an unknown depth and at least one drowning per year.
Beg to differ. The city is way more polluted. There is crayfish in lake ronkonkoma. And a multitude of fish species.
@@1life744 I was exaggerating buddy

There’s no aquifer under Lake Ronkonkoma that’s a myth
I lived in a house in west Babylon that was very scary. Crazy stuff happened all the time. My friends witnessed stuff to.
Thats as close to the Halloween theme as you can legally get... respect.
I live in Long Island hehe. Edit: not anymore :(

How do you have a video on haunted places in Long Island & exclude the Amityville house?
I remember reading somewhere that the Amityville house wasn't actually haunted. The family lied to get some cash.
It’s not actually haunted, it just looks haunted due to the notoriety of the movies.
This is the reason im never going to long iland
Is the reason because u can’t spell Island right??
hunny i live there
