Thank you so much for uploading all of these, it's been so fascinating to watch! I first started watching GH as a kid in July of 1997, so I missed the build up of this whole storyline. I watched another playlist on here that was about Carly, from when she first joined the show until Sarah Brown's last episode, but since it was focused on Carly's storyline, I was missing major parts of the Cassadine storyline... watching this now, I keep having these "ohhhhhh I get it now" moments. I never understood where the Spencer/Cassadine feud came from, because it always seemed so weird that you had this super powerful family that are literally royalty, and there biggest rival is Luke Spencer?? It seemed so odd to me, because I didn't see the whole thing play out with the Nikolas reveal or how Stefan manipulated Laura. I vaguely knew parts of the Laura/Stavros storyline, but I didn't know that no one had known about Stefan and Nikolas before this, because from when I started watching, it just seemed liked they'd always been living over on Spoon Island. This whole thing was just SO good... I started watching a few soaps that summer (I'm named after Dorian Lord on OLTL, so I had started watching that to see who she was, and then I started watching AMC and GH as well, since they all played one after the other), but GH was the one that really hooked me, and it was the only one I kept on watching throughout the next few years. I eventually lost interest, and every time I tried to pick it up again later, it just wasn't good, and I thought maybe it was one of those things where a show seems good when you're younger, but then you get older and realize it's not... but watching this playlist, now I know the show really was this good in the late 90s. It was actually my dad that got me hooked on soaps (he broke his leg one summer as a teenager, and he couldn't really do anything, so he spent all day watching soap operas. He's the one who picked my name lol), and I remember he used to always complain about how they'd bring in these teenage characters and make the storylines all about them and put all the veteran characters on the backburner, and now I see exactly what he was talking about... they always want young, hot actors, and but the ones who have been around forever, with all this backstory and connections to everyone else, are always way more interesting. These intense, complicated plots are just so good.
"Either way, what I do will be for your sake", (13:30 +-) and then the violin. The violin music that is a premonition of what's to come. Incredible sound, incredible writing. I just love this storyline.
I really feel that Luke should've sat Bobbie down and tell her that it was her daughter. Because that would explain it all and wouldn't do anymore harm than her hearing that her daughter died in a car accident. Luke should've told her right there who Carley was.
@@avataz No way. Luke always had a good heart, for anyone that was not a threat to him or his family. They wrote this in as Luke seeing her pain due to Tony's betrayal, and adding that it was her own daughter would've been devastating. A death of an unknown daughter probably less devastating.
@@avataz You obviously didn't follow Luke through the years. So from a first hand look at a character it would appear rough. But he does save Nikolas life twice by choice, when he was shot, and when he was hanging off cliff. His history with Cassadines was ugly, so he assumed Nikolas was the same. But he seemed to realize he was half Laura and Half Cassadine later on. Especially when Lucky got closer to him. There's a scene where Luke and Nikolas were at the house babysitting LuLu when Luke got the fake word that Lucky was killed in a fire. The good Luke always prevails.
GH in top form. Great writing, stories, characters, actors, camera placement, directing, casting choices, music .. soaps weren't addictive for nothing. Wow, Tony's name became "mud" after the Carly fiasco.
Bobby discovering Tony sleeping with Carly is one of the most explosive moments ever on the show! I still remember this like it was yesterday! Wow at Luke’s horrified face while Bobby recounts what Carly did. And then he tells her in a lie that Caroline died. Bobby had so much rage and grief all in one day!
I haven't seen this s/l yet but my guess is this will really mess up Luke and Bobbies relationship when she finds out he lied. And I can't believe how relaxed Tony is about Bobbie finding them in bed.
@@natalieps2387 I honestly don't know. There are some Caroline Benson playlists on YT. One of the Channels I've subscribed to has it, but I can't remember which one. I mostly focus on watching Rick and Lesley and Luke and Laura, but I occasionally watch some of the other storylines. I remember skimming through the Caroline Benson playlists, but that was a long time ago.
Omg I remember I wasnt a regular viewer of gh at this time but since I was a oltl fan after school I'd watch my tape & when it was over bc I blew through many scenes other then Todd's & maybe another storyline that was interesting. So when I was done bc i left it on channel 7 abc & programmed oltl when it was over I just left it on abc & while I was doing my hw or whatever I'd hear gh in the background. Also they played the weeks promo of gh during oltl & I'd actually watch it & I totally remember this one & watching. I felt so bad for Bobbie. Esp the creepy way carly looked at her. So I guess I was sorta a gh viewer bc I knew all the players & storylines & I havent watched these scenes in years but remember some so I def was watching & picking up what was happening. Look at tony sucking in his gut lol. This relationship between tony & carly drove tony over the edge. He was a good guy so he was already crazed after bjs death & I think this was just a distraction for tony. If Bobbie never found out I bet he would have went back to her & Lucas. I think he just doubled down by staying with carly. He barely knew her & it's very different when u have the young side piece & a totally different thing living a life with the person esp bc carly was pychotic as luke later told Bobbie. Her behavior was sociopathic & she was a clingy mess that needed constant reassurance all the time. Luke really should have told Bobbie. I know it would be crazy painful but that would have burst tony & carly's bubble right away. Luke & bobbie were never the same after this. Wasnt it worse to tell Bobbie her bio daughter was dead instead of that carly was her daughter ? " little orphan carly !!" Lmao. Luke really does look disgusted & horrified knowing carly is her daughter & just wrecked bobbies family. Carly was such a spoiled brat " u dumped me " she says to herself. She heard Bobbie over & over say she loved & missed her daughter. Man carly is Tony's niece he can spin a tale so convincing on the spot. The acting here was amazing. Jackie z & tony geary are so natural with eachother it feels like watching real people & not a show.
Bobble put herself in Luke's business with the Cassandra's knew nothing about it and now she's paying for it and she has no idea stepon is pulling the strings and shame on Laura she knew better it's like she didn't learn anything from Luke or remember what the Cassandra's did to her
Carly should have told Bobbie the truth and watch Tony realize he slept with his stepdaughter, it is later after he loses Michael, when he had his breakdown. Carly's ultimate revenge.
17 minutes I thought the scene was interesting between Bobby and Carly Bobby asked in the five minutes before you to seduced my husband did you think about what you were destroying and after they left the room Carly said in the five minutes before you threw me away did you talk about a daughter being pissed as far as revenge scenarios go Carly takes the Cake
I think this was Jackie Zeman's best. Especially her pain with Tony. She never got enough credit.
Rest in Heavenly Peace, Jackie.

All of these scenes are stellar!!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Genie and Stephen had so much chemistry that they worked together on 2 other shows. Days and YR

Luke’s crazy hair of the mid-late 90s
Don’t blame that one on the 90s!!

Agree. It's well anticipated. Right up there with Rick discovering he wasn't AJ's father and Leslie slapping the hall outta Monica.
Thats luke thinking he knows best yet again. Man those captions are driving me nuts.

Whenever Luke goes to Florida, crazy shit happens.
Lol!

Was their any other crazy stuff that happened when he went to florida besides him going to see about caroline.

Matthew Ashford was so dull and whiny as Tom Hardy on this show! 😴 Glad he went back to play Jack on Days of Our Lives.
Tony is being self-righteous once again , even after being caught cheating. I didn’t like him after this.
The best Carly ever!
Hey look it's "Jack" and his brother "Steve" from days of our lives, playing different characters on GH..
Payback Bobby ... all the times You've cheated !! 🤣
Who did Bobbie cheat with?

Ohh. Guess this is when the ratings came and they liked the Cassadines.
At 18:00 Carly's words say it all in the 5 minutes before you threw me away did you? When Carly gets revenge it's all or nothing
I wish that we could see the scenes between Bobbie-Tony-Carly.
Laura makes me sick I can see why Nicholas wants nothing to do with her....you let a man tell you never to see your own child again.....
But the Cassadeines are pure evil and he has to protect their kids from that evil.
@@lynnmoore7029 not all of them. Crazy at times but everyone on this show has done despicable things

Yeah it was so unthinkable you did it....maybe you should stop making everything about you Laura....
Bobbie should’ve thrown a lamp at Tony’s head!!!
The cassadies killed her mother but she has no hate for the cassadies right
She’s has son who also a cassadies who is not much of a snake or murder like his family is.
Did they ever think that Carli would just pop up and say, "No I'm not dead, I'm right here.!" What could Luke do?..not a d**n thing....
Now she wakes up pisses me off Luke has had everyone back
As I recall correctly did she cheated on tony with Damian while their daughter is dying

Too bad Luke didn't build Laura the same way he did Bobbie.
Dose Luke not have a mirror can’t he see that terrible hairstyle it’s hitious
That's what you get bobble not taking care of your own business and in Luke's
