Ms R, you are impacting the world with these videos you make & you don't even know it. Today I got my English Language IGCSE results & I got a 9! My mark is 139 out of 150. I got the highest in my year all thanks to your videos! I watched every single one you uploaded about a million times! All I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! You are the world's saviour.
I would also say that the Iambic Pentameter suggests the control which the Poet has over her feelings in order to reassure her partner that being happy is more important than being sad and remembering. The Poet is unselfish and cares about her partners feelings more than her own. It shows control and that is seen through the use of iambic pentameter.
I just finished my English literature today and I just wanna say a huge huge thank you because it went so well and without you I would definitely of been able to use such advance vocabulary and poetic terminology. Your videos have been a huge huge huge help to me and I wish you the best.
Hi Ms R I am studying for my GCSE English language, which I will be taking in the first week of June this year. (I am studying for this by myself; my last few years of education has been homeschooled due to health reasons, so any help would be amazing!) I was wondering if you would be so kind as to do an analysis on Explorers or Boys Messing About by Steven Morris (it’s a news article). I have watched many of your videos already and they have been a big help to me, and helped me to understand the texts better. I would really be most grateful. Thank you in advance, and I hope you can help me!
Hi Jayla, I actually plan to record this video over the next few days! I’ll be completing that whole section of the anthology over the next few weeks. If you haven’t already, subscribe and hit the notification button so you can be informed when the videos are uploaded. Ms R
Love your videos Ms R, they are so helpful! But could you please also include the effect on the reader of the poems in the description, it would help even more!! Thank you:)
Hi Al, Unfortunately, I am very busy completing my Master's degree and working full-time preparing my students for their exams. Videos will commence in 2 weeks time. I hope to have Part 1 completed by the end of March, 'Of Mice and Men' by end of April, and Part 2 by end of May. Ms. R

Hello again Ms R Sorry in advance for the long comment :)I was wondering what parts of the anthology you were planning to cover next? I'm going to do the International GCSE English Language A (4EA1)- the one assessed entirely through exams). The passages for Paper 1 that I'm worried about are:Explorer's or Boys Messing About? Either way, taxpayer gets rescue bill (which I already asked you about :) ) A Game of Polo with a Headless Goat by Emma LevineBeyond the Sky and Earth- A Journey into Bhutan by Jamie ZeppaH is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen MahAnd then those from Paper 2 (which are poetry and prose texts):'Disabled' by Wilfred Owen'Out, Out-' by Robert Frost'An Unknown Girl' by Moniza Alvi'The Bright Lights of Sarajevo' by Tony Harrison'Still I Rise' by Maya Angelou 'The Story of an Hour' by Kate Chopin'The Necklace' by Guy De Maupassant'Significant Cigarettes' (from The Road Home) by Rose Tremain'Whistle and I'll Come to You' (from The Woman in Black) by Susan Hill'Night' By Alice Munro I know you will know about these, and sorry if I have stated the obvious, I just like to be thorough (even it if it just helps me come to terms with everything :) ) I'm only looking to see if you will be doing any of these soon- but I would never wish to be demanding or to put pressure on you :)I will of course be looking myself for resources for all of these (but I find your videos extremely helpful and I learn so much from them :) ) You must get so many requests every day, so I can appreciate how long it takes you to work on new videos. So as you can see by the list I'm doing a lot of worrying :) I know it's not great to worry, but I'm a born worrier and I worry about worrying about worrying... I'm surprised my heads not exploded yet :) The good thing is is that I have an unusual study buddy... a Light Sussex rescue chicken named Luna. Over the weeks, she's learnt how to walk again after being picked on by the other chickens where she came from. Now,she's bombing round the house at a hundred miles an hour :)) Right now, she's sat slap bang on my exercise book fast asleep :) so no more study just yet... :) I don't mean to dribble on so sorry about that :) And for the amount of smiley faces I've just used :)Sorry, almost forgot, did you have any suggestions on how I can assess my work myself? As I don't have anyone who can mark it for me. Thank you! Thank you again so very very much, and again I'm sorry for the long comment!Jayla
Hi Jayla, I plan to complete Part 1 of the Anthology next; videos will commence in 2 weeks time. I will then move onto 'Of Mice and Men' and then Part 2 of the Anthology. Do you have access to the Edexcel website? My advice is to reach out to Edexcel and request some example material of candidate's work and how it was graded. You can then compare your work to this. I'm glad your study buddy is helping you! Ms. R
Ok, thank you so much, I will definitely be looking in to that! I've already printed off some past papers so as to get a good feel for the types of questions they may be asking. :)
