I got my hands on the Kirkland driver. I didn’t need it, just wanted to try it out and for $200 why not? Especially given the fact you can return it at any time, for any reason, so nothing to loose. Extremely impressive driver to me. I won’t be gaming it, but it’s a beaut of a back up. I hit it longer than my fitted ping g425 max. Doesn’t feel as good off the face as my ping.
I got the Costcobra for X-mas (S-Flex) and LOVE IT. I took it to the sim and hit several 300+ yard shots, topping out at 306 (280 carry). Love the sound and feel of it when I find the center of the face. I went to Golf Galaxy yesterday for their "Hit the Hot List" demo and tried out a half dozen other big-name drivers, and I didn't find one that I liked as much as my K-Sig (although the Dark Speed came close). What Kirkland also has going for it is the unbeatable return policy. I can take this bad boy back to the store at any time to get my money back. Not that I would, but that's far more reassuring than any club boasting higher resale value.
I wish I could get my hands on one and have made several visits trying. I was even in 2 different states during a business trip where I tried 3 Costco’s with no luck. It’s frustrating when something like this, or anything, a PS5, becomes hot and therefore a scalper’s paradise - they’re quickly bought up and thrown on eBay at rates I refuse to pay. While I’m anxious to try this driver, I feel it will perform the same as my ping g30, which has been my very trusty go to for a few years now.
I got the PXG 0311XF for Christmas and so far so good it’s been forgiving and great distance very pleased and I definitely feel confident on the tee box with it
That’s how I feel about my ping g30. There’s a tour edge e723 5h at my local golf shop for $140-something and I got my eye on it. I’ve always liked tour edge actually.
I have the 0211 driver and can't fault it. Not really sure it's worth the difference between the different PXG generations if I'm honest. Wouldn't mind seeing you do a test between the different generations of PXG drivers Chris
Like Joker I picked the Kirkland up on a lark. I have a Stealth2 plus and the Kirkland is about 10 yards shorter at the same ballspeed but overall it wasn’t bad. It is more forgiving than my old Mavrik and a few yards farther. Not bad actually and good as a backup in your bag.
Yes I have the mavrik and it is way too spinney for me and 10.5 is too high but I got it at a very good price. I took an inch of the ridiculously long shaft and that increased club head speed 5 mph and brought down the spin rate under 3000 rpm. But for myself, not a great match... But decent and great for the price. I struggle to carry 230 with it - I should easily carry 250 with my swing speed.
I am looking to change to a low loft 8-8.5 dgs driver and custom to 44.75 inch length. Is the stealth 2 good? I tried the tsr3 with HZRDUS black 6.0 shaft and it was just great!
The price means nothing if it doesn’t fit you, no senior or light option also not available in 12* either? Even with all that I did try it, thanks to a friend who had one. I’m a 12 handicap but I couldn’t control it or get any distance, it didn’t fit me simple as that. I would rather go used and get something that has value that I can trade in when I’m ready for a newer driver.
you're missing the point of who they are targeting, they aren't targeting customers who want a custom fit as that is more associated with a premium driver. They are targeting folks who want a cheap driver and don't care for a fitting. I do agree however that you can get a better second hand driver online for the price
Sorry, pet peeve. Tee markers not aligned perpendicular to the fairway. I've watched too many players line up with tee markers, as opposed to the target. Nice job sending to the target.
The Truth it is not a bad Driver but not sure it is right fit for most Golfers. Personally I am still using the Callaway Rogue ST MAX and it has more customization than Kirkland Driver. Also Uses to like Kirkland Golf Balls (Specifically Version 2) The Version 3 feel like Rocks and don't think I will continue to use them anymore..
Dude, you basically made a comparison based on two swings each, and admittedly you said one of the Kirkland strikes was on the heel. Really? Plus, you hit the fairway dead center w/ the Kirkland on the course and was in the rough twice w/ the PXG in the first part of your video. SMH.......
Yes, it was a bit odd. The ball flights looked better on the Kirkland as well. Was there an element of "I can't be seen to like this" in the video? Didn't get a fair shake of the stick, methinks. Same with James Robinson's review of same: better results with the Kirkland, but "the Callaway just edges it"... SMH indeed.
Dude... swap out the shaft. Match the shafts... then talk to me. Some of us know the driver is all about the shaft. There are no underperformed driver heads anymore. They are all fantastic. So.. use the same shaft in both heads.. then talk
Too many of you think DISTANCE. When you hit the Kirkland, both hits were perfect and both in the fairway. You did not it the PXG as accurate. Accuracy over distance is always better. Get that testier one out of your Brian and think. Would you rather hit it 10 yards farther, and miss the fairway, or 10 yards less and be dead center in the fairway??? I go with accuracy over distance any day of the week.

Yup, I just bought one too! Didn’t need it, but only $200, why not? 😅
Love the video. I got the PXG Gen 5 last November for $199. I absolutely love it. Can't beat that price.

I have the Tour Edge E723 and love it, won’t be trying any new 1s just for 2 yard’s difference
I've been a Tour Edge fan ever since I got my first one which was an E8 Beta, I've bought a couple of TE drivers since then. Great bang for the buck!
That’s how I feel about my ping g30. There’s a tour edge e723 5h at my local golf shop for $140-something and I got my eye on it. I’ve always liked tour edge actually.

I have the PXG driver. But to be honest, it is mainly because I am left-handed.
I played that course along time ago. Saw my first alligator in the wild there 🐊
How is on a golf course considered to be "in the wild"?

Maybe a mistake not including a light or senior flex.

Please Chris could you slow your speaking down. I think it spoils your commentary. Sorry to criticise but it would be better if you slowed down.
Disagree. I am non native English speaker and had no problem following.
Just slow the video down?
It’s a no brainer, the PSG will hold residual value, so when you sell, there is less of a loss, Kirkland used would be worthless.
pxg drivers dont holf value at all.. maybe finally the dark ops with so much positive buzz, but every other model resales like poo
@@jergernice1 Not true at all if you buy on the discount period, you wont lose anything much at all on a gen5 0311 if you paid 199 for it 😉
Who needs residual value when you can take the Kirkland back to the store at any time and get your $200 back?
Residual of the coscto is 100% return once it becomes "defective" lol
You talk too much and way too fast.
