I thought the same thing. That guy does not represent the brand very well. Seemed annoyed having to answer basic questions and not appreciating that every person is a potential customer.
Definitely get it! 4-strokes, as you know, are more reliable, have higher TBO, sips fuel (no need to premix)... and the biggest selling point have a great sound. From the ground you sound like an airplane overhead (versus a chainsaw falling from the sky).

That’s Beaver’s son Ken. Beaver has been around Quicksilvers and ultralights since the beginning. I’ve talked to him several times when I owned a Quicksilver and he’s a great guy and ambassador for the sport. I also talked to Ken at some point on the phone and he took good care of me so everyone should cut him a break. I’m interested in seeing how this engine works out. 103 needs a new go to power plant with the Rotax’s out of production.
I built one of these this summer and can't find any other videos other than the air-tech one. First ever flight any aircraft in August so hardly in position to make comparison to any other type of ultralight. Except the gallon an hour claim seems to be true. Forgot ear protection once and didn't know until I got back and saw it sitting on the roof of my car. (not advising).
To be fair.. there are a LOT of 'lookyloos' at Oshkosh (I've been one!) so by the time the 124th person comes up asking for details, the reps could be just plain worn out and understandably cranky. Having said that, I never liked how the older Quicksilvers had the engine hanging so close to the back of the pilots' head, but this setup looks to be a whole lot better. Also, forget the H.P. comparisons, it's all about TORQUE at the propellor.
Imagine 50hp but somehow it turns out lighter than the F23??? That would be insane. They gotta do something soon so they'll be cheap enough when I start looking for a new engine. LoL
If you plan the fly-in I think if you have family in the middle of PA it would be perfect. I can make it on a tank of gas too. Just did a 50 mile trip this morning. First time. So much fun.
maybe new to UL's but not to PPG trikes, Fresh-Breeze out of Germany been using this engine for sometime now, WARNING must use recommended high octane fuel or it will detonate and stress crack a piston. had a guy use low octane fuel and that's what happened to him. other than that a great but pricey engine, around $7000 plus? from Blackhawk Paramoter and IMI motorsports (as of 2022 only AUTHORIZED USA dealers) this guy on your video not showing as an authorized dealer? But I can be wrong, just getting you another alternative to eliminate the middle man LOL
What was wrong with that guy from QS. He acted like he had a cob up his a$$.. after seeing his attitude I would go with a Yamaha Phaser. If it would work. Makes me wonder if I would want to do business with him. Would like to see more vids from you.. these guys are getting nuts on their pricing, how can they sell them. I remember awhile back there was a QS dealer about 5 miles from me. He sold them assembled for $8000
The guy seems so enthused to talk about a motor they selling.. 🙄 Is that kind of attitude from people that turn people off and not want to get involved in stuff..

There saying TBO is 500 HRs. That sounds alot like 2 stroke territory to me.

Not bad. Now we need a 50HP version to replace the Rotax 503 that they don't make anymore.

Aluminum tubing is getting expensive!!! Needs a clutch or it will not overcome the prop loading ....when starting...Very little torque at idle...
