Definitely in my top 5 favorite villains of all time.
17:20. You're partly right about that assumption. There's a UA-cam channel called CinemaWins who did a video on Spider-Man 2 where he tackled this subject. Basically, since Peter became Spider-Man, he lost his uncle, his best friend, his love, his aunt got hurt last movie and is on the verge of becoming homeless, because he feels he can't help her, he's broke, he's failing college, the people hate him, thanks to Jameson and the bugle. At this point, his life's a bloody wreck to say the least and because of it, he slowly developed these mental blocks that start to hinder his powers. His cognition or subconscious, whichever you prefer, believes because of all that, he doesn't believe being Spider-Man isn't worth all this pain he's going through. Seeing Mary Jane with "my son, the astronaut" and announcing their marriage was the straw that broke the camels back for him and slowly became normal. So the entire 2nd half of the movie is him trying to overcome all this guilt that his accumulated since becoming Spider-Man. Him telling Aunt May the truth about Uncle Ben's death, saving the little girl from the building made him start to reconsider his choice giving up the mask, once he rejected Mary Jane's advance, the blocks finally broke and he fully gained his powers at that moment. Give it a watch, CinemaWins gives a much detailed explanation about what I just said. Keep up the good work! 😋👍🇦🇺
2004's Spider-Man 2 is still the best live-action Spider-Man movie. The fans are split whether this is the best Spider-Man movie or whether Into the Spider-Verse is the best.

Out of all the infinite versions of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the multiverse Tobey Maguire is my favourite version.
I never get tired of rewatching this movie it's still my number 1 favorite Spider-Man movie. Spider-Man 2.1 is a lot better when it comes to the extra scenes not seen in the theatrical version.
Congrats Mary,u just watched the greatest spiderman movie of all time
This is easily one of the best Superhero movies of all time, and I'm a DC guy saying that.
The actor who plays J. Jonah Jameson is J.K. Simmons, who also voices Omni-Man!
Don't forget all those Farmer's Insurance commercials...
And Great Uncle Ford!
And the yellow m&m c'mon y'all lol
This is the standard for superhero films imo. Its by far, the best spidey movie to date
MJ always thinks of herself, even when the roof is falling down while Pete is holding it. You do love me, me me me me me. 😆😆
My favorite Spider-Man movie. I'm glad that you've enjoyed it.
The best sequel since Empire Strikes Back imo
Terminator Judgment Day, Last Crusade, Aliens, and Godfather part 2 have entered the chat
@@Lopez03Eduardo. Godfather 2 was before Empire Strikes Back but agree on the others, especially T2 and Aliens.
@@Lopez03Eduardo. Dark Knight
@@summoner1451 was after this movie, both are 10s out of 10s
@@summoner1451 that was 4 years after Spider-Man 2.
The tentacle hospital scene is ICONIC!!!!!
The first two Spider-Man movies with Tobey are so good! But I have to give a special shout out to Mr. J. Jonah Jameson played by the amazing J.K. Simmons. Such an iconic character! (Also, Elijah from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals!)
Spidey can't shoot his white sticky goo cos he is incredibly stressed...
No different than any other man, lol.
11:49 one of the greatest meme was born !
15:38 You really got that on the first try? **Green Goblin voice** Impressive!
Fun Fact: Jameson's son was played by Daniel Gillies; the same actor who played Elijah Mikaelson on The Vampire Diaries & The Originals.

Those of us who wear glasses: "You know, I'm something of a blind mf myself".
Doctor Octopus is the first comic book villain I ever saw. There was an Incredible Hulk cartoon in the early 80s and the first episode I saw of it Doc Ock was the villain. Seeing Doctor Octopus on the big screen was amazing for me. Haven't seen the new Spiderman movie yet but I'm stoked to see him on the big screen again!
I love the line "he humiliated me by touching me"
the receptionist was Emily Deschanel from Bones TV series
Lots of blink and you’ll miss’em cameos in this movie.
"She should've followed her heart a little sooner". THANK YOU!... thank you.
The switch from the suit in the trash to raindrops is the best part of the movie
2004's Spider-Man 2 is still the best live-action Spider-Man movie. The fans are split whether this is the best Spider-Man movie or whether Into the Spider-Verse is the best.
My favourite Spidey movie off All time! ♥️ It's still the best!
One of the best Superhero movies period.
Mary, for Christmas you got to do the “Die Hard” movies. You will love them especially the first one.
The most quotable line from Toby Maguire from this movie is "PIZZA TIME!!!!!!
For me the most quotable line is simply: "NYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!"
This one is my favorite of the 3 originals.
29:20 yes it was just a mirror, but a character looking into a mirror has long been a staple of characters wrestling with inner demons, trying to convince themselves one way or another with an internal moral ethical dilemma…
The use of the mirror was simply so the audience could have it conveyed to them
Fun Fact: Norman Osborne was not supposed to be in this movie. Willem Dafoe was actually just walking by the building in New York that they were filming in. And members of the production company recognized him and the director asked him he wanted a quick scene. He wasn't even paid for the scene!
So, THAT'S the reason we got Harry as the villain in 3? Man...
This and the first Spiderman I think started the whole MCU, I believe Kevin Fiege got his start here. 😀
Fiege started on the X-Men
He was Indiana Jones' sidekick in 81's Raiders of the Lost Ark.
not a sidekick but a torch bearer.
Adios Satipo
Peter had some temporary web tile dysfunction
YES!!!! I love love this movie. Best of the original Spider-Man movies
This film is a masterpiece! Also, renowned comic book artist Alex Ross did the opening.
Spiderman 2 is probably my all time favorite superhero movie. I love it.
Part 3 is alright. There are definitely some cringe worthy moments and it's disappointing overall, but it has some really good moments too.
9:03 it’s a miniature sun…the SUN has one of the largest examples of electromagnetic fields humanity has measured…so Uhm, yeah…VERY magnetic…
Saw this when I was 17 the most exciting experience of my life still lives up today
22:45 “Mary Jane is in some kinda danger cliche”
DING!
