Hi Paul. The Clear Coat is not a paint. It is actually a resin based product, not oil or water based. This is what gives it such good protective properties. @Action Corrosion Pty Ltd how much surface prep is required where there is some flaking? This is an almost perfect use case where its surface rust without flaking, how much effort should i put into removing the flake or rust before using the gel? Can i take too much off? You mention the products purpose is primarily a remover hence i assume i cannot over-de-rust the surface, right?
You should try to remove the loose flakes with a wire brush. Any dirt/grease should be washed off before applying the Action Gel too. This is so that the Gel can make contact with the rust that is on the surface of the metal. For very heavy rust, the Gel may need to be applied again.
Hi John, as you are in Chile, our USA stockist can supply you with the products. You can either email your details to admin@actioncorrosion.com.au with your location and which products you would like to visit www.actioncorrosionsales.com
You protected your chasis against liquid only, but vehicle chasis needs to be protected from rocks aswell. When you are driving on the road, there will be some rocks hitting the chasis and penetrading this thin waterproof coating. The water will be able to get to the metal after that becouse the coating will be damaged in some places and the rusting process will restart in no time. Thats why you should put some heavy duty anti-gravel coating + add vax in the the end so that anti-gravel coating dont dry.
Rocks may chip the coating but as it is self leveling, it is easy to touch up. The product also has the ability to prevent rust creep so it will not spread under the coating.
The rust would've been on the top face of the chassis as well, where the floor lays on it and there'd be more areas where two metal surfaces meet. How did you get the rust out of those areas? You didn't. The product seems to work well but please don't let people think the job can be done just by spraying the areas you can see. It's rust in areas you can't see that'll destroy your vehicle. Two parts that are attached must be separated, treated, and put back together. On a caravan, that means the body has to come off the chassis.
This video is to demonstrate how someone can use these products to maintain their vehicles/other machines at home. There are other services available for those who want to pay for a company to remove the chassis and protect the full surface. However not everyone desires that process and expense therefore this is a wonderful alternative.
@@actioncorrosionptyltd2526 pointless alternative at best... either do the whole surface area or don't bother wasting money and time... all 4 sides of the metal need to be done or its just going to creep back over and rust internally.
@@TRolla82 your right but using product like this and others will delay the inevitable. If it buys you another 3 to 5 years before your car gets to the point that it's unsafe to drive its worth it for most people
I like that, but how dopes it deal with abrasion? I have a 1987 300ZX that I'm going to be finishing the restoration on over the next couple of years, and these Nissans are notorious when it comes to rusting. Let's say I use this product to remove any rust on the underbody and any hidden areas, then use Rustoleum Rust reformer to catalyze any remaining rust and paint the metal black. After doing that on the entire underbody, I coat the painted surface with the with the RustProof Clear, how well does it protect against sand, gravel, and road grit?
Like any painted surface abrasion will wear down the Rustproof Clear. However if it is chipped by a rock or worn down by sand, it is easy to touch up as it is self leveling.
Are you rinsing off the gel with more gel? Can water be used to rinse the product off the substrate? The welding on that camper/caravan is horrendous and unsafe. I would find out who did that job. I cant quite tell if your product removed the very light layer of rust on there or converted it to phosphate. Looks like it worked.
The Action Gel is washed off with water as this breaks down the Gel. The Gel removes and converts rust. It removed it off the metal in this demonstration.

@@actioncorrosionptyltd2526 Looking through the comments you could make a LOT of money removing the rust from a frame like mine, there's a LOT of people here in the salt belt USA. The slide rails on my RV are rusted to hell. It looks like a previous owner lived at the beach and never once lubricated the gear teeth :( Is the Action Gel something I could use on the gear teeth (not gear pack) and wash off completely, then lubricate? Thanks in advance.
Hi Rena, Yes Action Gel could be applied to gear teeth and then washed off once the rust has been removed. That will leave the bare metal clean and ready to be lubricated. However is there is any lubricant or grease on the gear teeth already, remove this before applying the Gel so that there is nothing preventing the Gel making contact with the rust.
We recommend avoiding plastic and wires. You can simply wipe off the Action Gel with a wet sponge if any gel makes contact with an unwanted area. Although immediate contact will not damage them. Action Gel can be used on aluminium to remove rust however it needs to be monitored closely.
Any effort to combat rust is a plus. However before I risk my body, lungs, and environment,( driveway, lawn, shrubs, and Dogs. What is in it? Do you have a publication for us to review?
Hi Pauline, we have a MSDS available for the public on our website. We do recommend avoiding spraying the Gel onto your body, plants and dog. However using the Gel as recommended will not harm you and it can simply be washed off with water. Please have a look at the MSDS available at www.actioncorrosion.com.au/product/rust-removal-gel/
It is not designed to be applied to rubber. We recommend avoiding it. However if you accidentally get some Action Gel on the rubber it will not instantly damage it and you will have time to clean it off with water and a cloth/sponge.

Two questions: 1. This shows a spray bottle applicator, but on the USA site, it shows the gel bottle as a brush application. Is there a difference specifically for autos? 2. How does this work, esp between layers like springs, or in cracks and hidden areas of auto frames?
If the metal surface is dirty/greasy we recommend you clean it down before applying the Gel so that there is nothing preventing the Gel from making contact with the rust. General purpose thinners is to prep the clean metal surface for the Clear Coat.

Using Action Gel on the painted panels of a vehicle may affect the gloss finish and be visible depending on the colour of the car. We recommend testing it on an inconspicuous area first. IMPORTANT: Do not leave the Gel to dry. Monitor the whole time the Action Gel is applied and wash off immediately once the rust has been removed.
Those brackets on the chassis look as though they were welded by stevie wonder 😂😂
They were probably attempting to weld directly onto the zinc coating and couldn't achieve fusion of the steel without burning through the zinc first.

This is good stuff i highly recommend
Im about to do my whole under car .
Thanks for the feedback!!
Is Action Gel only sold in Australia?
Where can I get these products in Poland?
If it buys you another 3 to 5 years before your car gets to the point that it's unsafe to drive its worth it for most people
Why don't you do a video showing how you did all that?
Thanks
Can it be used on previously painted chassis frames?
How much is this ? Any stores in Melbourne
Dam that gel works!!!
Do you have to use half a bottle for 3 feet each time? Did anyone try DR-X rust removal?
Are you rinsing off the gel with more gel? Can water be used to rinse the product off the substrate? The welding on that camper/caravan is horrendous and unsafe. I would find out who did that job. I cant quite tell if your product removed the very light layer of rust on there or converted it to phosphate. Looks like it worked.
The Action Gel is washed off with water as this breaks down the Gel. The Gel removes and converts rust. It removed it off the metal in this demonstration.
It is the best product ever. If possible, I would really like to purchase at wholesale and retail them in my country. I think your business can progress quickly.
If you are interested in stocking our products please email admin@actioncorrosion.com.au with details on your business, what products you are interested in and what quantity.
Whats the shazzi? Is that how all Ausi’s pronounce it or just this guy?
Yes that is how all Australians pronounce it
Action Corrosion Pty Ltd Good to know. Thanks, I just thought it was him.
That rust could’ve been wiped down with s towel at the first place, looks like a light surface rust, try on some heavy rusted frame if any of it comes out.
Come to Wisconsin and try it on my trucks underbody. Do it for free you can use it for a commercial.
Thanks for the offer David! However we are pretty busy at the warehouse. If you would like to send your vehicle to our premises at the Gold Coast, Australia we could possibly arrange something!
@@actioncorrosionptyltd2526 If you pay for it you can use it and I'd take the derusting for payment AND endorse the heck out of you. (sorry, but I can't afford a 1 way trip much less round trip) I could sell it to you though for $1,500 US dollars, with the rust on this frame you could REALLY make a good commercial. Body has min rust and no dents.
@@actioncorrosionptyltd2526 Looking through the comments you could make a LOT of money removing the rust from a frame like mine, there's a LOT of people here in the salt belt USA. The former owner washed the exterior and kept it rust free, but NEVER the underbody (it seems) Sounds to me like this offer could turn into BIG BUCKS in proffits. My 1994 Ford Ranger IS commercial material if your product works as good as you advertise.
How can we order this to the middle east
How does this product work interacting with aluminum, plastic, wires?
@@actioncorrosionptyltd2526 What if you have a rusty dog?
@@waltp3373 what if I like to drink a rusty nail? Tasty.
@@waltp3373 oh dear
Great product! I noticed you used a spray bottle to rinse the gel off. Can a water hose be used instead?
Thank you. Yes a hose can be used to wash the gel off too.
Is there any place in the USA where I can buy these products or are they not available in America?
The product is available in the USA. Here is the website of our distributor www.actioncorrosionsales.com/shop
@@actioncorrosionptyltd2526 Already bought some. Thank you for the link though.
Is this sold in the US?
I'm trying to use it on my van chassis. Will it damage rubber booth and other rubber sealant? Thank u
It is not designed to be applied to rubber. We recommend avoiding it. However if you accidentally get some Action Gel on the rubber it will not instantly damage it and you will have time to clean it off with water and a cloth/sponge.
Is this safe to use on an exhaust or would it eat through it?
Any stores in Adelaide stock this?
I have a mazda b2200 and im looking for somthing to removed the old rust of it...
Ho recommends this product??
We recommend this product.
The website is of NO help. Store locator does Nothing. No idea how to purchase this product.....?

How I can get it
Someone’s last day who welded those brackets, don’t slam on the brakes too hard haha
How does it hold up against the elements I live in the salt belt in the U.S. (Salt lake city, Utah specifically)? Will I ever have to re-coat again?
lol ive been looking for solutions for road salt for months ..nano paints ? to bad thier no indoor cash wash with a in door parking garge ?
Can't beat boiled linseed oil after acid has dried.
A bit late to the party... Use a phosphoric acid based solvent (like in this video, or go at home depot and buy it by gallon), wash it after 20min, and then use fluid film. Apply before winter season every year. Look online, plenty videos on fluid film. Imo it's best anti-rust treatment ever.
@@thermorex Fluid film applied every year has not helped my cars very much. Overrated in my experience.
@@thermorex I'm gonna try fluid film in the fall
Two questions:
1. This shows a spray bottle applicator, but on the USA site, it shows the gel bottle as a brush application. Is there a difference specifically for autos?
2. How does this work, esp between layers like springs, or in cracks and hidden areas of auto frames?
Step 1: Buy Action Gel.
Step 2: Buy Trigger for spray bottle.
Step 3: Place Trigger in Action Gel Bottle.
Where can a person find these products?

Please elaborate.
So thinners only after gel / b4 clear coat? Or b4 gel as well?
If the metal surface is dirty/greasy we recommend you clean it down before applying the Gel so that there is nothing preventing the Gel from making contact with the rust. General purpose thinners is to prep the clean metal surface for the Clear Coat.
With pitting. Could you fill the holes with body filler before the spraying on the sealer?
I'm interested but your contact information for outside Australia is horrible.

Are these products available in the u.k.And at what cost.
Not, yet. We'll inform you when that occurs.
Can you apply a paint before you add the clear coat?
Yes, you can paint either before or after applying the protective coating.
That's not rust! Come to new England I'll show you rust!!

Unfortunately, at the moment, no they aren't. But we are working to get the products available in Europe soon.

what does nano paint do against road salts?
Action Rustproof Clear is a specialty coating that has salt and rust inhibitors, it is engineered to resist and protect from the effects of all salt, it works very well in chassis protection so long as its properly applied and the surface properly prepped.
Not even much rust on that chazzie mate. You have no idea what real chazzie rust is! Chazzie’s here get broken in half mate.
Why is he saying shazzy instead of chasis?
I can’t trust a rust product from a country that hardly has any rust issues at all (unless you literally live by the sea) . Relatively dry air. No snow. I laughed at the rust you showed also. G’day from Okinawa Japan, where drink vending machines last about 5 years before they start flaking and bubbling with rust holes. I have junked three MX5’s here because they were rusted to shit , not even that old of a car ....
Hi There, 85% of Australians live literally by the sea.
Wow has he not seen like any Australian landmark? They’re pretty much all by the sea where the city’s are. Dotted on the coast around the whole country. Then the inner deserted areas are covered in mines where the roads are covered in iron ore and zinc
So is it safe to let it run off into the environment like that?
Who gives a crap?
Sorry but the rust is still on the frame. The spray just made it darker because it is wet.
Is this safe to use in a pressure washer?
You do not want to use the Gel in a pressure washer.

If I sprayed this on my 05 F150 chassis the chassis would disintegrate 😆. The chassis suffer from severe rust. I think this would work best on surface rust that's it. Still appears to be a good product.
We have used it on some pretty heavy rust and it works great it just need a bit more time. However manual removal of rust flakes and excessive rust always helps it out.

Wouldn't call that severe rust after 25 years, say it would last another 25 years if it was never treated 🤔
will this affect paint? i need something to remove rust from rock chips
