Yup 😐 Those mill pile decks are probably my most hated match-up. Soul Release is a very funny tech against them, but unfortunately only searchable with Thrust.
@@h0xtinator Yeah, with how many decks and cards that can take advantage of being dumped into the grave, making more cards that can mill is just asking for nonsense to happen.
@@JohnnyGhost91 Yea i’ve been going back and forth if i wanted to play those over more boardbreakers. They have been a bit bricky in the past, but i can definitely see them being good for nibiru insurance and extra damage. Also gotta respect and play the gigachad Ultimate Golem ofc 😎
@@h0xtinator i like the added protection they offer too. never was bricky for me just needed to discard commander with dark golem forbidden droplet or wevern.
Interesting choice not using commander and the new trap. Speaking as someone who’s also taken the deck to master rank, they do tend to be dead draws A LOT in a deck already full of dead drawls. Is that why you aren’t playing them? Are you finding the removal of bricks worth the lack of their usefulness?
I'm honestly not too sure myself if they're worth running. Yes, like you said they can be dead draws that could've been boardbreakers instead and i don't think Ultimate Golem is really necessary for the OTK, Chaos Giant has been plenty for me. The biggest upside of running Duel for me would be the insurance it provides against Nibiru or other niche monster effects that go through the protection of Fortress.
@@h0xtinator nibiru is a big bonus for sure. For me, the main upside has always been being able to OTK if Your opponent only controls one or two monsters. Have you been finding that with all the new support it’s still pretty easy to kill them with a few monsters without the trap?
@@carsonbailey7090 Duel definitely will always secure an OTK. When i tried it out it seemed a bit overkill though. It’s already pretty easy to get Chaos Giant out and with Ballista dropping something to 0 attack+more Ancient gear beaters or Dugares/Verte as back up it has not been too difficult to get lethal on board.

I’m new to master duel but have actually managed to get to diamond with ancient gears is it not worth it to run ash or called by in the deck and are duel and commander worth running in the deck.
Playing it with Ash+Called by or even more handtraps should also be fine, i was kinda testing a mass boardbreaker version for Diamond, but both have their benefits i’d say. I haven’t been too sure if i wanted to play Commander+Duel or not, they have been a bit bricky for me a couple of times, but duel giving nibiru insurance is really good. Also attacking everything with Chaos Giant+Ultimate Golem is such a chadded OTK 👊

That is very true, Ultimate Golem is extremely chadded. I might put it back in, was kinda testing a 50% boardbreaker list for this vid.

Yup, the best part of it is giving early Nibiru protection, not sure if it's worth it to play 2 bricky cards for that.
