If you go under the screen you give up an open 3. If you go over the screen the defender is trailing the ball handler and gives up an open mid range jumper. If you try to battle through a screen when the big hedges you give up a window for the roll man to score. It gives the big man inside position with the defender on his back.

Its not 0-8 in the finals. It's throughout Stephs post season career. Also its a misleading stat. Steph is 4-12 in go ahead shots in under 30 secs but espn chose under 20 secs to make him look worse. Steph is also 3-4 in game tying shots which includes the pelicans game that forced OT. And yes the OP is right that MJ is the ONLY one that made multiple finals shots to win the game that Kellerman keeps referring to.

Steve Kerr was primarily guarding him as Jordan typically had a tougher time with smaller guards. But that one time they made the switch & Iverson crossed Jordan & scored on him 'that one time'. Big whoops. And you're right about the Bulls getting the 'W'. Anyway, Chronicles is right about Iverson & I will further add that Iverson's by far the least efficient Hall of Famer.

But he has willed his team for 1 game against a team far more talented than his own. His game has less varables so it's easier for him to take over a game. Curry is the better player I rather build my team around him win long term... that said if I need someone in just one big game to just say "screw it, my teammates couldn't hit the broad side of a mountain so I gotta do it myself" I may take AI in that situation. In the NBA Finals: Steph Curry's decision-making is terrible... forget stats; you have to win but upon winning you must lead properly and that has everything to do with decision-making. Down 2 down 3-2 when you need to win, you do not take a 3 when you can shoot well from the foul-line. Against the Cavs in 2017 up 2-0 in game 3 Curry was jerking around allowing the Cavs to stay in the game and it cost him Finals' MVP... the mentality in 2016 up 2-0 vs. Cavs having the shot to destroy LeBron James he does not even show up for game 3 and allows his team to lose a 3-1 lead by not controlling the pace; running the offense; being a poised point-guard; and not milking the hot hands or getting to the line to control pace, time, and score in games 5, 6, and 7.

Iverson is the biggest ballhog in the history of the National Basketball Association
He's the most overrated SG of all time
He drove other Wing teammates away from the Sixers
Billy King traded him to the Nuggets in 2007 for Andre Miller because King was fed up with AI's selfish antics causing issues in the locker room
In his stints with the Nuggets and Pistons, Iverson failed to commit himself. For a 6-2 MVP shooting guard, he was a bigger ballhog than Jordan and Kobe ever were.

I have yet to talk with one that can actually use stats to make the claim as to why he was as great as they make him out to be. Don’t get me wrong I understand how great he was, but with context. All you hear is “he played his heart out!” “He changed the game!” “He had kids rocking corn rolls!” Nothing of real substance. And only that one game He isn't better than Curry as a whole but I think he can take over a game at will better and you do need that in big games. And is inefficient...While Curry is by far the better at playing with a team but struggles at taking over at will when the system isn't working. He's a superstar playing the role of a role player, does it at an all-time great level. But if a good team defense stops the system, he struggles with physicality, disappears in some spots in the finals.

I know a lot was going against Steph for being able to win the finals but it's not like he didn't have his chances and really wasn't like in 2016. Were the you know the series was rigged . So you are kinda making excuses cause Steph had three opurtunities at the end of game 6 to make a game sealing type of shot that would be clutch to push the series to 7. And Steph did kinda get exposed cause for the most part if KD didn't play in game 5 the warriors would have lost probably in 5. And Although that may seem far fetched considering that he only played like 12 mins his +/- was better than Steph's for the entire series. And saying you can't hold him to the same standards of a MJ or someone of that elk is really saying like hes not on that level. So how impactful can he be if he can't make his impact felt during the biggest stage his impact doesn't really win. Like you really can't call him the greatest shooter if you can't do it under pressure.
