Not in a bad way of course, but it is literally a form of incorporating a part of one track into another (or others) therefore reusing that part of the track. I understand where you were coming from though because some people would make the assumption that it's bad music just because it contains recycled elements, when that's actually considered to be a positive trope of music. Leitmotifs are sweet. What Proto said was right in essence, he reused music in a smart way. The smartest way arguably.

These videos are so cool because you have a visual of how the different lines are constructed. You can see what the percussion is doing while the sax is going ham, or focus on the trumpet and pick out the warm tones of support it gives. And as always, you *get* the track. Also I think we can all agree Alex IS Spamton. He just is, it's canon, everybody else pack it up.
Now that you put it in jazz, it sounds like 1910s-30s railroad jazz, with the percussion and all giving it the articulated style, and I really like that. New favorite song of the week.

While yes, this is some big Spamton energy, the same energy in this track could work in something like Lupin III or Cowboy Bebop I feel. Or like a climax in a heist movie.
If the original was a high octane death battle on a roller coaster, this version is the aftermath, when you loose and the boss makes a whole world themed around themselves and the theme you dueled to the death too becomes an amazing background track for your ensuing adventures

This definitely captures the chaotic energy of the original, with 50 different parts playing at the same time, while still keeping the jazzy style. Balancing a much more coherent style with the innate incoherence of the original song must have been difficult.

I love this oh my god this is fantastic! Hearing your tenor sax on some of these lines feels so nostalgic for some reason. Amazing cover, absolutely solid. Feels like this would fit so well into a modern rendition of Live at Grillby's.

This definitely captures the chaotic energy of the original, with 50 different parts playing at the same time, while still keeping the jazzy style. Balancing a much more coherent style with the innate incoherence of the original song must have been difficult.
