This is going to be devastating for everyone, but ever so much more for Her, Lexi, Ben, Jay and Billy. Others of course, but this is her core family. Callum too, I guess, but character-wise, those who I just mentioned should be impacted the most. I definitely see Callum being as strong as he can be for Ben and Lexi and Jay. I know her story goes into the new year, at least I’m sure that’s what I read, but it definitely feels too soon to hear this. Definitely wonder if we will see her want to marry Jay before the end has come? And how much ‘living’ she will do so she can savior every moment.
Well that was awkwardly blunt of the doctor, they should've had him deliver it more gently. He acted so casual about it. "Yeah this isn't curable" huh??
I really thought the storyline would progress slower like not until next year, but a death sentence already!!😭😭🥺🥺😫😫😓😓 imagine how she and others would feel, how would they handle and cope with this? Prepare for the worst?? Mental breakdown?? And Lexi…. Nope, I can’t think of anything right now, it’s not gonna be pretty so…. The next couple weeks are gonna be devastation and sadness and tears bursting out…. Honestly didn’t expect the story to progress this fast… I thought we would have way more time for this…
They are using Tom parkers's story as Inspo. A famous pop star from the wanted who was perfectly healthy until he had a seizure and found out sighing a couple of days he had this type of brain tumour and was terminal. The life expectancy is 12-18 months and he survived for 20 after diagnosis. He raised a lot of awareness and money for it and even went on a tour with his band during this. He died about a week after his performance in Liverpool. So Lola is going to find out fast and unfortunately pass away quit quickly as that is the nature of the disease
If you watched it, there was a complication in the operation which meant that they couldn’t get enough of the tumour out. Also, they said beforehand that it’s a fast growing tumour. This outcome is no surprise since we know that Lola dies.
That is what the operation was for to see if it could be fully removed which it was not and to look at the tumour. cancer can spread very quickly and can be very aggressive
Coming from someone who's been down this route with her dad who had the same type of brain tumour that lola has....they don't know until they have removed it and looked at it. My dad's prognosis had he not had the surgery would have been a matter of weeks. The surgery brought us an extra 3 years of time and we were told if it didn't come back within 2 years then we'd be looking at longer. As it was the tumour returned just before the 2 year mark and then after that it brought us another 15 months of time before he passed in 2013. This storyline and also Tom Parker's death has brought back a lot of memories and trauma. It never leaves you and I really hope that eastenders go into the aftermath of lola's death....they probably won't cause the soaps never dom
I swear... the doctors on this show are the most insensitive, unempathetic humans alive. I really wish they would hire better actors for them. He told her she has an incurable tumor with the same energy and tone I'd tell my dog... No Treat. I felt bad for Lola but man, it was hard getting the emotion out.
I’m glad I’m not the only that noticed this as someone who has studied health and social care this is not how doctors should be when giving bad news. He looked completely lost and acted like he didn’t know what he was doing.
Ben & Callum are back together but the writers still treat Callum like an outsider. He isn't included really in this storyline Callum is on the sidelines like he's been all year. The writers say this is a gay love story but it is just a gay friendship. Callum used to be independent character have his own storylines. Callum isn't in this scene for a reason. I don't understand why the writers don't treat Callum as an independent character? He can be more than just Ben husband. Is Callum just Ben shadow? Just disappointing to see an actor treated with such disregard by the writers. Can Callum be anything other than Ben husband on Eastenders?
Callum is looking after lexi while Ben is at the hospital…an incredibly important role in my opinion, which I think Callum’s character would feel is an exceptionally good use of his time for a child he has come to love and really care about…
That is not the way they deliver that news I know I survived breast cancer and Lola would have had a support nurse and also it would have been much more gently told, also how dare you give that stupid Ravi the duff duff so disrespectful to Lola hate the murder storyline anyway its boring🤔🤔
I'm a grown man, and this had me crying like a baby.
i’m just worried for lexi, imagine losing her mum at that age… 😢

What a way to deliver the news. Surgeons would never relay such as message in that manner.

Callum will prob adopt lexi
How does one began to tell their daughter she’s going to lose her mom. That scene is going to be more heartbreaking than this one.

What happened to Lola's grandmother
She left the soap years ago cos she couldn’t bond with Lola. Plus she couldn’t accept the fact that Billy was forming a bond with Lola.
Why did they have to do this to Lola? Did the actress want to leave the show.
