I agree with the comments here. This is typical of the writers who once again make this an unpleasant experience for the fans watching. This Lexi reminds me of the brat that we saw a couple of years ago, obnoxious, opinionated and very dislikeable. She's just a kid but she's "so disappointed" and walks out on her Dad, great stuff writers, just what the viewers wanted to see, everyone, including Callum walking out on Ben. And to make Callum so self-righteous is pathetic. Whenever they decide to dump a great story, like the wonderful Callum and Ben love story, they always seem intent on leaving a bad taste in the mouths of the fans. There have been so many poorly crafted and disappointing endings to so many series and TV story-lines, they never seem to understand how it affects those of us who have invested so much love and emotion into the stories, those of us who have grown to love Ben, They're happy to just dump on him and dump on us.
Absolutely agree, sometimes i literally say out loud "you're a little girl Lexi, shut up and sit down" And i do think this storyline is a bit of a retcon, it doesn't make sense. Just feels like they couldn't be bothered to come up with an exit storyline so they just decided to send Ben to prison once again.

You summed her up beautifully! And yes, Soap writers just don't seem to care that we invest so much in the characters, and they seem hell bent on destroying what was a magnificent love story and leaving us with a bad taste in our mouths. P.S. I don't know much about the law in Britain or the US, but would the American authorities really bother to chase someone across the Atlantic for a fairly low-level crime ... seems pretty far fetched to me? @Terry-dl4nf To be honest i'm not sure, i mean it wouldn't make sense to go after someone who's all the way overseas for something as little as using someone else's credit card, not to say it's not a bad thing but it's not exactly a crime to go to prison for, let alone being chased overseas like you're some serial killer. And yes lol, Lexi acts like she's grown up but it just comes across as annoying and stupid, she's a little girl, not a grown woman and the show portraying her to be this 'sassy' 'mature for her age' girl is just cringey and she needs to let the adults talk imo. Storyline would've been better if it was for a crime we saw Ben commit whilst he was on the show since 2019, but they just took a cheap way out and decided to rewrite the past so lazily that it still has holes in it.
@@cr8t3r86 Yes, the more I think about it the more ridiculous the notion becomes that the US would chase someone to Europe and seek their extradition for a relatively small credit card fraud. It wouldn't even lead to jail anyway, most likely a suspended sentence. Imagine the costs of sending police from the US to England to take Ben back. I'd noticed Lexi's character had improved recently, but this was her back to her worst! Cheers
I understand that Callum is upset with him but ven wouldn't be able to tell him the truth in front of the police because he wanted to come home to his family and because it could reflect badly on Callum as a police officer, plus Callum isn't even hearing him out he didn't steal it just for the fun of it he wanted to get Lola better
So Ben stole money, but when he came back from America, he basically had no money at all, so he had to sell The Arches. This storyline is so ridiculous and has so many holes in it. Poor Lexi; she's going to lose another parent.
I can't believe Lexi was upset with her dad, Ben for stolen money and lied to her, when he was in America from outside of England, she visit him at the police station, thanks to Jay!! 😮

To be fair, Lexi was always a brat. I never liked her. This behaviour is normal for her.

Disappointing storyline. People have been bailed for worse. I doubt Max Bowden filmed a proper exit because he had a falling out with them.
