I feel like the bullet design at 3:30 was pretty realistic. At longer ranges, bullets tend to deviate due to something called "Spin Drift" which is something your design seems to be doing as well here.
Since they Introduced Air baloons where they Glow when inflated and They become shaded when deflated, you could replace that "screen" with airbaloons. So they sort of make a pixeled black and white screen

At 4:34 you managed to make the projectile travel at 361 Meters per second, or Mach 1.05. To match the speed of a .308, you'd need to send it at just over double the speed it was currently going.
i think a ballast is quite a bit bigger than a .308
@@mathsupercat9021 I think(though I'm not sure, never played the game) the ballasts are larger than people, so that going mach 1.05 is absurd

Please make a ground to air defense system using that scope technology. If the scope detects something then a cannon should react by firing! It would be totally autonomous and really cool!

The problem with the accuracy on the cannon is probably the cannon ball, maybe using a shrapnel cannon would work?
At this point the only thing left for you to make is a particle accelerator

Maybe you could use those sensors to make a seeking missile? That should be pretty accurate as long as the target is above the horizon line.
When you run out of ideas, you should try to re-do some of the old machines you made! You seem to have improved a lot
I highly suggest making a longer half pipe barrel to guide the bullet more consistently.

It would have been nice to have some plates on the pivots of the scope, so we have more contract between the background and the "pixels", because we couldn't see really well on this design

I've made a rudimentary tracking radar, it's a 3x3 array of sensors, where the cardinal direction ones move the radar up, down, left and right, and the corner ones move it diagonally. The main goal of the sensors is to have the center sensor trigger, which means that the radar is aiming perfectly at whatever it sees. My idea you could make is some form of search radar that directly connects to the tracking radar. The concept is that if the search radar gets a ping, the track radar will turn over and lock on. This radar also works as a guidance system for a missile. Taking the guidance system and radar, you could make some form of ground Anti Air, where the radars search for targets, and once it does, it can automatically aim, fire, and guide a missile to the target.
Only issues is that ground/terrain makes the radar freak out, but you could try to make the Anti Air, and then use your jet, and test which one is better at killing the other
What might be an interesting future build would be a shell ejecting gun or maybe a type of lever action. One could also look into design for drum magazines which push a “bullet” into the chamber.

You used some solutions that are very creative, also I have an idea, try to make a railgun, and if it doesn't work in besiege then I think you should try and make it in either "trailmakers" or "Instruments of destruction" since they have magnets in the game

You could try making a railgun. You can’t use magnets to propel the object, but you can line the gun barrel with steam guns facing towards the barrel’s exit that push the projectile outwards for a similar effect
What stopped you from using springs behind the ballast like a crossbow rather than couplings?
I think I would have personally gone for steering hinges for the cannons (in the wheel design), since that's more in line with how gun "hammers" tend to work.

I think the issue with the accuracy is due to the cannon itself. My guess is that the cannon slightly deviates and hits off center which pushes the bullet slightly to the side. Maybe to solve the issue you could make each bullet consist of a ballast with propellers and a cannon attached to the back so you can ensure it always hits on center. Though I'm not sure if there are easily breakable struts that would work for such a system.
The scope is awesome, qnd the barrel length makes it more like a carbine than a full rifle. Even cooler!
Continuing with the theme of guns, I think a 6 shot revolver would be interesting.

You know, with the way the canons recoil, you probably could have used that, coupled with a bullet fitted inside a wooden shell casing, and as the bullet fired, the casing git destroyed, and the Cannon launches itself out of the chamber, letting you load another round. You could have also made it bold action, so that it would fit the Cannon into the chamber again, and repeat the process

use steering instead of wheels for aiming stuff; steering will always stay in sync if they have the the same settings
