Last month, my husband & I stayed at All Star Movies. I brought my favorite Mickey plushie on the trip with me. On our second day, we headed out for the day & we started feeling a little under the weather so we headed back to the room for that mid day rest. We came back to the bed made & my Mickey plushy front & center of the bed wearing a pair of my ears lol it was a cute little surprise to come back to ❤ Love the cast members & appreciate all that they do to make our stays all the more magical! ❤❤
Awe that’s what makes Disney special. Housekeeping did something similar with my son’s Mickey plush at pop century. They made him hold onto one of the cupboards. It was adorable.
We LOVE your videos! We used you a couple of years ago and we've been watching you again for our upcoming trip! I was wondering if you had a video or could make a video on the TTC situation? Like when it starts running (is it 30 minutes prior to early park entry?), which mode of transportation is quicker or easier to take with kids, is there a line, what if you have an early dining reservation in the park... ALL THE THINGS!
Im so excited after 20 years traveling to DisneyWorld from Ny we are finally staying a couple nights at the Polynesian and are doing the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! Can't wait. Thanks for the video, you guys truly put out the best videos and watching them is part of my everyday routine, every new video!
My husband and I already got to experience the water park perk! Or something close to it. It was the Friday after Milton hit, so I’m assuming it was just because maybe some of the hotel pools were dirty/damaged/closed for cleanup. Our room was ready before 10am!!!! It was great! And we got a notification on my Disney experience app that we were welcome to visit typhoon lagoon for the day. We immediately cancelled our park reservation and put on our swim suits. When we got there we realized that the water park was ONLY open for resort guests, and they gave us free treats like novelty ice cream bars, pop corn and drinks. It was SO FUN! Ps: I didn’t get an email or message on my Disney experience app, I only knew about this because I had push notifications turned on. I immediately called the front desk to confirm this invite and they didn’t even know about it, but after some research they confirmed it.
Thank you so much for doing this. I'm doing a RunDisney race in January and decided to stay on property so I don't have to worry about driving to and from the race. This video was super helpful, thank you!
My family and I love the wilderness lodge when we come to Disney world. It has been are go to, for 18 trips. Also, for the first time we tried the art of animation suites on our last trip. We loved that also.
I just watched this video and liked it very much. When talking about off property hotels you should mention the fees most of them charge daily. I know The Dolphin and Swan as an example charge a daily parking fee as well as other daily fees. The Hilton also has daily fees. Thank you for your videos they are very enjoyable.
We stayed at the Contemporary resort in the garden wing 1 bedroom suite. We liked having 2 full bathrooms since our adult son was with us. We'd like to try a different luxury resort next time but I'm having trouble finding another one with 2 full bathrooms unless you have a full kitchen and laundry too. Which we don't need
2 questions: 1. What if you’re visiting Orlando, but NOT planning on staying on Disney property NOR visiting the parks. I know, heresy 😅 can you still park at Disney Springs and hotel sight see using Disney busses? 2. If you are staying on Disney property, I’m assuming there are laundry facilities?
The biggest downside to staying at some neighbour hotels is how the free shuttle service works. A lot of them, you see, you have to book the shuttle service to and from the parks, unlike the Disney buses where you can just simply get on no problem. Not to mention that the last shuttle bus back to those hotels might be like a few hours before the parks even close, not really ideal if you're planning on staying for the evening shows
So what happens when you book your LL 7 days in advance and then 2 days before one of the park visits you decide to buy the premier pass. Are you just out that original LL money you spent? Love the videos!
Honestly, I'm not really bothered about breakfast not being included at Disney hotels. I also go on holiday to Greece during the summer, and don't get breakfast included, so I'm kind of used to it
Could you consider making a video with itinerary ideas or trip plans for a couples trip to Disney? I’ll be taking my partner to universal and Disney next year as a celebration and would love some ideas on how to enjoy the feel like a kid again energy of Disney while it still feeling like a couples holiday.
we had a milestone anniversary trip like that. The key is to discuss what you don't want to ride, see, or eat beforehand. Then, have a plan for what you do want to enjoy. Indecisiveness can drain time and energy. Plan for a rest day, at least one sit down meal, and no plans on arrival/departure day for spontaneous rest and relaxation.
@ that’s pretty much what we’re doing! My past tee has never been to Florida but I’ve saved up enough to take us to universal and Disney for two weeks. We have zero plans for our arrival day and departure day and have at least two sit down meals planned and I have around 2.5 rest days at the very least. So on that front I’m mostly covered. It’s more recommendations for those sit down meals, bars, rides, shows and experiences. I love DFB but when it comes to advice is can vary a lot on the side of family’s which I get but at least one vid fully dedicated to the fundamentals of a couple would be a life saver
What’s the best hotel for a couple traveling and still wanting the adult luxuries with the disney theming? I would love a video for the best couples itineraries at different price points. Some of the nicer resorts seem to have almost no theming, like grand Floridian rooms, but the contemporary’s incredibles rooms seem perfect just didn’t know if there were anymore examples like that.
My son and I are taking a boys trip 12/9-12/14 and we are staying at Art of Animation. We have a quick service meal plan and park hopper tickets. I will buy lightning lane passes and have been reviewing the Virtual Que stuff. Reservations at Space 220 and Oga’s Cantina. Am I missing anything? Please make suggestions. This is the first time I’ve taken my only son to WDW and it means a lot to me.
Take time to just walk around. Schedule up to a certain point, and then let it go and see what happens, what things you find. Also, if you want to do a ride or show twice or thrice in a row, Yeah! go for it!
International guests can’t get magic bands ahead of their trip 😭 just wanted to say as you said All disney resort guests have that option but in the UK we don’t have that option unfortunately. Before Covid we did.
Most of the Good Neighbor hotels - plus Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve, tack on a "resort fee" to their charge. Some hotels even charge for bus service. Question - which Disney resorts still don't have in room coffee?
All resorts have in room coffee now! The last hold out was the unrenovated rooms at all star sports, but they now have them - I say this as I’m drinking a coffee right now in All Stars!
We will stay at new dvc Cabin/Fortwilderness! Do you think we need to rent a golf cart? And also can we park near the bus stop during the day time when we will go to the park?? Thank you in advance!!
My absolute #1 pet peeve is hotel rooms that aren't carpeted. I don't care how many stars they have, I look at the website room pics before I book any hotel room and if I see linoleum or faux wood flooring around the bed instead of carpet it's an automatic deal-breaker and I go somewhere else. In short, the only non-carpeted space better just be the bathroom or it's a hard pass.
My then 7 year old and I stayed at the Swan Reserve for a summer visit in 2022. The location was great (for mid-day pool break) and I think we got a complimentary room upgrade (since my spouse is Marriott preferred). Every night, we could watch the EPCOT fireworks, which ended around 9:15 pm, so the 7-year old could have a good nights sleep for early entry. (You could look north later for the MK fireworks, but it would end too late for the kid). Question, which resorts (e.g., Yacht & Beach Club) have comparable firework views as Swan Reserve?
that sounds awesome! Riviera has some great fireworks views, so does Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs -- you'll want something a little taller than Yacht & Beach most likely if you're hoping to see more than EPCOT, but some of the BoardWalk rooms have a good view of that show
G’day AJ and team. We are planing a 2026 visit from Australia and we were wondering if you can run through tipping for foreigners. We don’t do it here at all so we could do with some guidance so we don’t upset anyone. From check in to dining at quick service or sit down, to photographers, character meets to check out. Who do we have to tip how much and when?!?!?😂
For sure! Let me hit ya with some of the basics! * Tipping is considered customary at table service restaurants and select locations around Disney World. A tip is typically around 15-25% of your total bill. Table service restaurants may apply gratuity depending on where you are and the size of your party. Parties of six or more usually have an 18% automatic gratuity added to your receipt, but if so desired you can typically choose to increase your tip. * Only certain Cast Members can accept tips depending on where they work, so not everyone can be tipped. For example, you can’t tip Cast Members in quick service restaurants, drivers, parking attendants, and tour guides. * If you want to tip your housekeeper, make sure you leave the tip in a designated area in your hotel in a labeled envelope so that the housekeeper is able to distinguish it from something you just accidentally left out. Tips of this nature are generally expected to be $1 per person in the room per day. For housekeeping, make sure to tip daily rather than at the end of your stay, since you will likely have different Cast Members cleaning your room from day to day during your trip.
@@dfbbreea so we are a family of 5 and our table bill could get up over $500 - we still tip $50+ on a bill that size?! It’s quite a jump going from no tipping and something we need to budget for. What about if we drop our luggage at bell services and go for a Disney Springs walk at check in/out? Retail outlets? UA-camrs? 🤣😘
Over ten years ago, we've stayed at All Star Music, Coronado, and Wilderness. I think we liked Coronado the best, as we stayed there twice. But....that was back when Disney wasn't so expensive and confusing. He had the FastPass system worked out and knew how to use it well and fairly. Now, you have to pay up....WAY up....for the equivalent....and forced to make reservations for parks...so the park hopper passes aren't the same. Also, you have to make dining reservations months in advance. For people who just aren't very good at planning that far ahead, it just doesn't work very well. Let's face it....Disney World is way more trouble and expense than it's worth.
We stayed at Coronado Springs in early 2002 when the entire travel industry was down due to 9/11 jitters. It must have been not as expensive because I was a lot less wealthy.
You know that disney magic band perk...buying it at a discounted price before your arrival. Umm yeah, so you know, as Canadians we can't do it. I called asking why I didn't have the option on line to buy a magic band in advance and they told me it was because they did not ship to Canada. I said, I'll pick it up when I arrive. It says they do that when you order less than 10 days from your trip. I I told them I would have it shipped to a US address because I live in a border city and can do that. Again I was told no because I live in Canada. So that perk is ONLY if you live in the US. My only option was to buy them at the standard price of $35US or more, no special deals. Ughhh. I wasn't impressed with that.
@DFBGuide How many days do you think is the right amount of days to visit the 4 parks? I've already visit with my parents a couple of years ago but I would like to visit with my spouse (2 adults only).
The most common trip length is 6 days, that gives you some time to relax between all the go-go-go of the parks. You can definitely do shorter though if you want to pack a ton into just a few days, really depends on how many rides and restaurants you want to check out and if you want a day to relax at the resort
My Disney hotel question for the team: When you go on a vacation to Walt Disney World (i.e. not going there to cover an event or do a review, but just for fun) where do you like to stay?
Great question! When I want to stay at Disney, I gravitate toward the moderate resorts because they really are the best of both worlds (a little bougie, but not gonna break my entire budget). My personal favorites are Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs and Port Orleans Riverside! If I’m NOT staying with Disney, I still like staying as close as possible (because I ain’t dealing with that Orlando traffic if I can avoid it LOL). When I wanna pay the LEAST amount as possible, I’ll typically stay at the Holiday Inn Express Orlando OR I’ll go halfsies with my friends and we’ll get an Airbnb.
To be honest... I wish they had a Japanese pod hotel for as little time as we spend in our room... we go back to shower and sleep. No point in staying anything past value!
Value resorts are about 150 not 270. . . . well at least in the summer they are closer to 150. That being said I love your intro music watching these videos is more fun than actually going to the hottest most expensive place on Earth.

yeah the Rapunzel doll I bought for my niece was always sitting in the middle of a trio of rolled-up towels in the shape of Mickey's head
My favorite out of the all stars.

Always stay at All Star Music. It is clean and generally quiet. Resort staff are very pleasant and food is good at food.court
We are basically ready for our WDW Vacation in mid January
Just need to reserve the restaurants
Just 85 days to go

How old is your son? Have you ever gone to Disney before? I started taking my daughters when they were 1, now they are adults.
What's the pool is like for the animation resort hotel
You’re killin me Breea with da bad Spider-Man reference. Yes, I ripped off The Sandlot.
I do what I can 😂

Below 50 degrees sounds hot to me. Here in Australia, it’s cold when it’s below 10 degrees.
They’re using Fahrenheit not Celsius.
Yikes to us 50 is beginning of winter 😬 yes is a hot state in summer weather 115 degrees yes

Wheres the best place to get the cheapest "" deals for the parks and hotels ? Are there any specific websites ?

That’s one you can rent points at and stay in a studio there for fairly cheap.
