  • This is a compilation video of all my flights from 2017. The clips are in chronological order, which mixes them up in a nice way. I had some great trips in 2017. The highlights were a weeklong trip to Colorado and a trip to the Bar10 ranch on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Plus a lot of obscure scenery from the New Mexico Backcountry.

Excellent. Have been at or near most of those place names one way or another over the years. That powerful effect of the text combined with clarity of the images made for some potent nostalgic brain rushes. As I have been pondering the choice between a seaworthy small pilot-house boat (e.g., C-Dory) capable of multi-month excursions versus a lite-weight 'easily' trailerable STOL-ish aircraft capable of supporting at least 2-3 day (i.e., 2 to 4 gallons of water, etc) loops from the RV and aircraft trailer your statistical summary at the end really helped cut through a few contributors to the fog in my visualization of life with a suitable aircraft. Boats have marinas with every level of possible services and vast amounts of literature (much of it compiled by various regulatory agencies and freely available) which answer most every question the uninitiated might have. With the new folding electric bikes a cruising boat has access to an incredible amount of land/hard surface area along the US waterways. Not so much/easy for aircraft (hence, the RV and trailer is essential for the 'bush' aircraft if it is going to interest me).... If you camp out on your trips, large blue 'duffel' nicely squared away in the rear seat suggests you do, sure hope there is a video of your gear choices.

Excellent 'cinematography' (editing and musical score choice). One of the best trike flying compositions I've seen yet. 'I gave always liked the style of videos that 'Henry Trikelife' produces, but this one is even better. Frankly, the music makes the scenery so much more ethereal. Without it, let's face it, a lot of NM is pretty blah. (Not from a trike, of course!)

Cool stuff. We've been over these areas, but not quite trimming the trees. What's your cruising speed and range?

How did you summarize so much flying hours? 125h is pretty much per one year! Did you fly every weekend for a several hours?
    Regards!

Most of my "short" flights are 2 hours long, with a lot of 4 hour day trips. Plus a couple multi-day trips that rack up a lot of hours.

df3yt, It's a bit long at 11 minutes, but the clips (all 143 of them) are only 4 to 5 seconds long, so you can't be bored for long. I had a great time flying last year with lots of amazing scenery from the "Land of Enchantment".
