Yeah, pests have it easy. All they do is mooch off of others, they just have to find an animal in a nice comfy home and they'll live as royalty.

I have done everything!! Daily vacuuming (sometimes twice), powders, sprays, foggers, and steam cleaning. For my cat I have bathed her in flea shampoo, gave her advantage, and comb her daily for fleas. They literally won't die! I've been covered in bites for over a month now. It stopped for 3 days and I was so happy but then I started seeing bites again on my feet. I'm. So. Done.
We can't live in the same house as cats, in fact cat fleas or harder to kill than dog fleas!

You also will need Vicks Vapor rub, Mineral Oil and Body Lotion. Get two bowls in one bowl you will place one eye dropper of the Neems Oil, one table spoon of Mineral, and a table spoon of Coconut Oil and some body lotion this ingredients will be for your head and face. In the second bowl put in one eye dropper of Neems Oil, ten drops of the Tea Tree, and ten drops of the Clove oil, one table spoon of the Mineral Oil and one table spoon of the coconut oil; smear this all over your body before you go to bed and when you wakeup. I know, it's been hell here and since my dogs have now been treated they are attacking me. I've gotten a bit of control of them...I guess, I mean its became less but they're not gone. They have been laying eggs on me...in me. Very invasive.

Give them flea baths, don't let the cats and yourself suffer. You can bathe them with Dawn dish soap to kill the fleas.
My house has hundreds of fleas right now. We just started spraying and the fleas seem ridiculously hard to destroy.

never buy a couch from a thrift store... dont even own a pet bought a couch and next thing i know my place is infested with them. Lasted about 4 months was off and on, at first I would wake up and feel them crawling in my hair :( or randomly jump on me while chilling watching a movie. Lots of cleaning with vacumm and eventually got rid of the couch, set up a bowl of soapwater with a lil lamp over it, and eventually they disappeared.
Fuck fleas. I'm gonna vacuum every fucking day and powder all the corners.

I was struggling to get rid of fleas in my home and I tried almost everything. The only thing that worked was "Ortho Ant Killer Powder" I left my home for 2 hours and I never seen a flea since. I assure you it works. I would to be wasting my time writing this review if it didn't.

Thanks for posting. One female flea can lay about 18 eggs a day and just 20 fleas on a dog can produce 360 eggs per day and over 2000 eggs in a week.
Fleas can jump 7-8 inches vertically and 14-16 inches horizontally.
Even if you can't use the salt...running the vacuum every single day very thoroughly is going to help a lot.
This doesn't explain why my cat that has never gone outside has fleas.

We go a kitten today and found out it has fleas. So we
-Wash all linens
-vaccume everything
- bag every thing
- and boot out that kitten in a garage with a white sheet and my old sweater. Fo warmth and comfort ( I feel sorry for her)
- tomorrow we are going to bath the kitten in flea treatment shampoo
- and start a round of treatment.
- basically repeat on washing and vacuuming

didn't know i had them till few days ago saw a bug jump on me being summer thought nothing of it and flicked it off then i started seeing more and more its no end to the fuckers they are biting me non stop
I feel your pain... I have NEVER in my life seen so many fleas and had so many flea bites... Like these little a holes won't go away no matter what I do.. Ive tried several home remedies.. buy the best bombs money can buy i put 3 in each room i went total nazi on them i still had spray left i sprayed all over the house a few days later. aint seen them since winters on the way so u mite not have to be so extreme like me they should die out soon just flea bomb the house a week before it starts warming up again
Nothings to extreme for them bastards i couldn't sleep or eat or even relax in my own home knowing they was there. I took my cat to a private groomer they got rid of them and left my cat at my sisters for 24 hours to air my house out and to make sure the fuckers were gone

I realized they're very intelligent and one way to get rid of them is to constantly cure your space by spraying. Do it every once a week until they go away and then once a month, they always return because they don't respect animals.

...irritating snd strong smelling...but as to say it work..also if u have clean clothing sheets and pillows throw them into a dryer on high heat...the heat kills them..thats better then having to wash them..last but not least vacuum ur carpet after 2 to 3 days after apply the b as king soda and salt and swip ur floor after 5hrs..trust me..it does work..repeat the process til they gone..apologies for my long ass comment
Fleas like humidity and moister, so I am trying the dehumidifier, It is great in a small room, It is really dry in there now. So I am not using my bedroom for a few days and just running the dehumidifier. I closed it off so I can kill the ones in there. Now in my Living room,dining room and kitchen area, it isn't working as well because it is so open. I will have to wait a couple of days to see if it works. Also you have to vacuum every two hrs if you can, I just vacuumed two hrs ago and I see eggs everywhere. I also soak my hair with apple cider vinegar, and rub it all over my body, it won't kill them but they hate the smell. I did notice a big difference when I did that, I wasn't being bit as much, it also helps stop the itching. I also have the bowls with dawn, they work, but not as much as I would like. There is a product that is all natural called Vet's Best home spray. It kills the fleas and the eggs. you can also use it on your cat or dog. You also need to shower and wash your hair several times a dsay because after the female feeds she lays eggs on you and in your hair. That is another way to kill them. Just vacuuming the eggs again I probally killed about 30 flleas.

Not as bad a I did a week ago before setting off fog bombs throughout the house.sadly sum found there way around the fog bomb and now gotten on everything..so I used table salt, baking soda, and raid..I sparyed the raid around my doors and corners of every place they mite go..even my bed railings. I took the table salt and baking soda and sprinkled it on my bed, rugs and floors snd everywhere else..so far..I did not c one flea.but the smell of the products are...

I've used several different products that the vet gave us and none of them work. The cat hates them. They obviously make her feel bad for at least a couple of days. Going to try some alternative remedies that are less harsh.

we vacuum everyday, and for 4 days straight we powedered the whole house plus this spray that kills fleas/and everything. But! Our pets are covered with fleas... we've showered so many times and treated them, but they don't stop popping out.. might be coming from our neighbors dogs.

+Stingray Ocean Treat the problem like this: Vacuum the entire house very thoroughly. Buy a carpet flea powder with at least 10g/Kg of permethrin. You may need 2 or 3 if a large house. Liberally sprinkle around the house on carpet areas. Light sprinkle the lino. Leave is for 3 weeks. It looks untidy but thats ok.
Do NOT apply this to your cat. Treat your cat once per month with a fipronil based flea treatment.
After 3 weeks vacuum thoroughly again.
Remember fleas come from the environment to the animal/human. You need to treat the environment first.
You may need to repeat this the next warm season,

I just pick them up and put them in a dirty glass of water or the toilet. They never escape and drown to death and its a way to keep track of how many you got rid of. Usually like 5 a day for me until there aren't anymore.

Picking them off isn't a realistic way to treat them. You might think you've picked them all off but you haven't which is why there are "5 a day". There's multiple was to treat fleas. The cheapest most readily available way would be to bath your pet in/using dish soap like Dawn. You can use Dawn on young puppies/kittens and pregnant dogs/cats. They also sell flea shampoo, flea collars, carpet power that you sprinkle down and vacuum up, flea collars, pills, drops. There are many treatments for fleas and they're all relatively inexpensive. I got a pill for my cat from the vet that's supposed to keep him flea free for a month and it only cost like $18.
That's the adult flea you can see, some fleas are so small you can't see them until they become adult fleas.

We had this happen before in the past when our cat ran away and got pregnant with a stray cat. We didn't know she had fleas until the baby kittens were born.

Six months ago we moved into an apartment not knowing the previous tenants had a flea infestation. We have spent hundreds of dollars on sprays, powders, etc. from Home Depot, Wal-Mart and various pets stores, but to no avail. Our landlord FINALLY agreed to send someone to "professionally" spray our residence to get rid of the blood suckers, but within 4 days of the professional treatment, my family had several new bites and it seems with each treatment we end up with more fleas than we had before.
We do not have any pets, nor do we have the funds to move. Please tell me what can I possibly do to get rid of these fleas!

Kristin Vrieze It's too bad that you had to move due to that situation. Until I read that you had moved, I was going to suggest using diatomaceous earth. You can buy it on Amazon, even. Just sprinkle it all around and those suckers are good as gone.

More like 2-4 months, as she explained in this video flea pupae can live for months without hatching.
If you go away for a couple of weeks and then return, the pupae will hatch and the evil cycle begins again.

You need to treat the infestation on the cat, in order to get rid of the flea dirt etc.. Besides, the poor cat must be so very uncomfortable. :( There's no point in just going for the flea dirt in the carpets - go back to the source and treat it!
Look like there are no up-to-dates notes on fleas, about 9 or 10 years ago a friend of mine had a German shepherd and brought the dog in my house the dog was upstairs in my middle bedroom I had carpet upstairs it was actually a computer room so when they went home for the weekend and they took their dog with them my daughter was on the computer and said all these bugs was on her pants and I looked and it was a whole bunch of fleas I had a big bag of baking soda I sprinkled the whole bag in the room on the carpet and shut the door and put a trash bag under the door so the fleas will stay in I let the door stay closed for a whole week came back vacuum the floor then I put a flea bomb in that particular room and shut the door again I went in the same day open the windows shut the door and about time nightfall came I went back and shut the windows and no fleas at all had no more problems at all, mind you you do not have to have a pet to have fleas in your house if you're outside please can jump on your pants your shoes and you wouldn't even know it and then you carry it into your house and if it's a female flea then you just started your own festation unfortunately... Always keep a big bag of baking soda in your house it doesn't just kill fleas but it dries up their eggs too get yourself some advantage pet spray they have it where you can spray on your mattress it kills bed bugs all kinds of bugs Please ticks do your research...Ijs

I cant get rid of them!!! Im living in a big house trying to take care of my sick grandmother and these fleas are in almost every room now, my dog no longer lives here so the fleas are living off me. I have sprayed my bedroom with household flea spray yet they are still living and biting me. I have many bites all up my ankle. They have infested my basement and started living off a mouse that managed to get in that i finally managd to kill.
What do i do?? Nothing works! I cant afford to call in an expert and we wont be able to leave home for 8 hours.
I feel your pain trust me my bedroom is infested with them and I dont even have a pet they were caused by a neighbors cat if your infestation is severe fill a bowl of water put it on the floor in the room where the fleas are and attach a lamp so the lamp is face down on the bowl of water the fleas will get attracted to the heat and they will land in the bowl of water and drown.hope this helped

I think my fleas just dissappeared, i havent been seeing any the past month except for the odd time. I know there still in my basement though where me and my dog used to stay. I put this powder called Diatamacious Earth EVERYWHERE in the basement about two months ago and it is still there now, i went down there a couple days ago to get something and a couple immediately jumped on my leg, shyt isnt working but ima go down there with vacuum soon. Rest of house though, seems to be none.

We currently have a flea problem in my house.. We've been vaccuming and washing blankets, also using medicine. go into my room and in 1 minute fleas are on me. I heard that if you wash your cat with dawn dish soap it helps get rid of the fleas. I've been telling my parents to wash our cats but they are saying it's a "myth". Does anyone know how prove to them it kills fleas?? I've been really stressed out lately because I can't go anywhere without a flea on me. I just saw one on my tablet a few seconds ago.. Ugh.
You can make a homemade flea trap by using a pie pan , dawn soap (or any soap) and some salt ,warm water and a put it under a night light or a small desk lamp on the floor before you go to bed. By the time morning comes you should be seeing fleas in the water.
Dawn is not a myth, it really works. You can prove it to them by catching a live flea and putting a drip of dawn on it and the flea will die within seconds. Why don't you just wash the cat yourself? Don't let your cat suffer like that. If you're suffering from being around them just imagine how your cat feels with them on him constantly chewing his flesh.
