Great race, so many things happening that you go by these 25 minutes like if they were 25 seconds.. It's just unfortunate that there are never on board cameras and that the comments never stop to let us hear these beautiful engines
Interesting to see the two front cars (Lola T70 ad Lotus 19) are actually a generation apart historically buut with todays' technology quite close in performance with rain as a factor...you might have seen a Lotus 19 trying to get into the field in the early Can-Am but not for long....19's were sent down to regional/SCCA C Modified racing. Great cars though. The last successful open-class Lotus race cars....almost 65 years ago.Guess Colin just didn't have the attention span or resources to try again. Nice to see a lightweight car/engine combination still be a winning one...
Wonderful footage of these races at Goodwood. ...BUT i wish "GOODWOOD RACING COMPANY" would ADD the "Model / Manufacturer and Model year of the car" in their Status Banner... They display the Rank, Drivers name, Car # , and Time differential... There is a LARGE space between the Driver's name and Car # where they could ADD the "Model / Manufacturer and Model year of the car" ! - I am surprised they do not do this! ... I wish they would! ... Someone inform them of this suggestion please?... Thanks again for these wonderful episodes.
@ Thanks... Good to know... I missed that... I find the Goodwood commentators rather inadequate as the race unfolds ... In a group of rather esoteric cars in some of the other races they say "Blue car, black car, No. 51 etc."... It is frustrating to a viewer who wants to know "what is that car"?!
When I first got into this Goodwood business, and watched a few races, I thought, during one particular race, "Gee, she's doing ok", but then the commentator said, in reference to the same driver, "He's doing well", and I wondered what pair of parents would name their son Tiffany? I've just noticed that it's Tif Needell - or something like that - but certainly not Tiffany Dell. Carry on. Nothing to see here.
Who needs F1? This channel rules!!!
Enormous v8s with tons of torque in a light car that costs more than I will ever earn. These guys have courage.
One word for everything in this video: GREAT!
this is motor racing. gorgeous sports cars. superb driving.
Yep still faster atleast
Those cars are brutes. No traction control huge power in the rain!!! Holy Smokes!

Tiff is always such a sport.
Bring back the Big Bangers... Sports Car racing at its best
18:26 a lady of class and style.
In the U.S. they parade cars like these.
In the UK, they still race them.
That's what these cars were built for...
They still race them in the U.S: Monetary Reunion (Laguna Seca) (spelling?)
Wrong! Know your historic racing. I’ve seen them at Sonoma, Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen
@@budracin8guy07 Yeah, you're right, but how often do you see them going sideways in the rain at Laguna?

Goodwood releases the entry list for the Revival a few days before the race meeting. Also, the timing on every race is available on the internet.
anybody knows where i can watch these CanAm races like the original ones
or any classic races also
UA-cam
Joseph Elias I tried but I found only two (referring to the CanAm series)
lolking rd
Hmmm. Bar using a search engine, I'm not sure then bud.
Joseph Elias :( I really want to see these cars in action.Looks like il just play them on rfactor
Some of the people who trumpet GT40's should watch this...Lola's do quite well against their American progeny on a road course.
Rain, no abs, no TC, no wipers on most cars... RACE ON!
Meanwhile in Formula 1....
Formula Cars and Indycars doesn't have rain wipes but they have some cockpit thing
Ah, an English Summer
Still no after race interviews !!?????? - and the commentators themselves were saying how great a Niddell interview would be . NOTHING
This race was in 2016...

They were wrong.
