Awesome! Totally reassuring that there are still young guys out there like your self not afraid to try and fix something. Far too many of your peers would just live with the door broken or expect mom or dad to have it fixed for them while they play another video game.
Such an awesome beast of a truck. Great job mate. the hardest part I could not figure out was removing the window roll down handle. the towel idea is genius.
Hey buddy great video, my door is kinda acting the same but i can still open it from the inside, its just theres a big clunking sound coming from behind the door panel now, any idea what that could be? Thanks
Help! Mine is looking good but there are times it won't open from the inside. There are times it feels loose from the inside. Outside is fine. Can you make a video on how to fix it?
Man you are one smart kid although I don't think I'm going to attempt this repair I'll stick my hand in to open the door since it's just my Xtra work truck that I rarely use.
Dude thanks for the hard work on your video I had the same problem with a Ford focus 2008 seems like it’s a common problem in the small cars or any car or truck come to find out all I had to do after watching you and these other guys do videos tearing up their car was to hold the handle up(at the same time) on the outside and fist bump the F out of the lock area without Denting it and Wala the unlock popped up and I opened it then I WD-ed The F out of the locking spot on the door. Yes it rusted up or small particles stuck it and the Fine mechanisms Froze up and bumps or vibrations it made it come loose from the point at which its supposed to trigger from.Oooooh by the way this problem will happen again to you ,me and the rest of us sooooo try this instead next time first just maybe it'll be easier.
A gorilla grip tires shop guy's hands broke my interior plastic clip that attached the exterior handle to the cable. Fished the cable back into its hole, gobbed clear silicone on it and let it cure. Quick fix.
You didn't align the window crank correctly. The handle should be horizontal with the end forward when the window is closed. This gives maximum knee and leg space when the window is closed. It would be helpful to learn the names of things before you endeavor to instruct others about them; terms like window crank, door panel, arm rest and Christmas tree clip come to mind.
@Commie Hunter No, I've always preferred seedless jams since they include the pulp. My comment made months ago is called constructive criticism. You can do it when you learn something about something and how to write.
That intro is FIRE!
Good kid. Excellent communications skills. Much better than most adults.
Neat trick with the rag to remove the window winder crank!

Great video. You’ve got a bright future on UA-cam.
Why did it come loose in the first place.
And will some lubricant help in the future to prevent it from coming apart again.
