I’d say the closest thing I’ve seen to the Revenant on fiction is Eric Draven from The Crow comic and movie(RIP Brandon Lee)if you haven’t seen it check it out. Great movie and book. Basically the character is murdered along with his fiancé on his wedding day brutally as they raped her in front of him and shot his ass out the window afterwards. So a year later the Crow brings him back to exact his revenge and he hunts them down and kills them all while quoting Joy Division lyrics lol. Has enhanced strength and speed, innate combat knowledge, a healing factor, and the Crow magically tells him where all his victims are. Basically the spitting image of a Revenant.
the year and a day deal was brought in to ensure the participants had the entireity of the agreed upon time including the say in which the deal is made.
The Dresden Files, through the Fey, does a goos job explaining the importance of a pact. For the patron they are investing some of their power into the warlock and fufilling their end of a contract is akin to a compulsion. I’d imagine if a patron violates their pact, the power they shared would be permanently cut off.
Sounds like Lady Stark from Game of Thrones becomes a revenant, the book version, not the show. Except she didn't get the healing factor to fix her throat because she can't speak.
That Gatorade line cracked me up! Love you guys. :) When you mentioned everybody having darkvision, I noticed that, too, and I split it up into 2 types: Deep Vision (for no light underground) and Night Vision (when you're outside and it's dark out), and not every race gets every kind. I think that evens out the helplessness in the dark between the races.
If you were looking for an example of a Revenant. *SPOILERS FOR GAME OF THRONES BOOKS* Catlyn Stark becomes a Revenant called Lady Stoneheart after being raised by Barrick Dondaryan. Her revenge is against any and all people in league with the Lannisters in the Riverlands
I can see roleplaying a deathlok if youre patron just has strict rules that may bar specific spells to take that dont suit there means. Not being allowed to charm or have a minion because the patron would see it as an offense for his servant to have another servant.
WELL where there is a way there is usually a will. And if there is a will you will always find your way! Not through Talent. Not through knowledge. Not through Belief. Only through the constant refreshing of the word ; the renewal of the mind and persistence. Only though Persistence trust your faith!
I actually really like Robby Reyes but I like where they are going with Jonny blaze king of hell in the comics that’s pretty fun too as a first live action adaptation nick cage did pretty good but they shouldn’t have made a second I think that killed it next time they do need to pick a different actor as well

@@garettsuperloser804 - I wouldn't call most of them "adults". I know a lot of "adults" who play games 8 to 16 hours a day. Or more.... Most real adults WORK. But on the subject of profanity, I think most people agree some profanity is tolerable but using the "F" bomb 30 times in 25 minutes might be extreme. To others the "F" bomb is not acceptable at all. If your intellect is incapable of NOT using it every 30 seconds, then you'll never see why you might not get more subscribers. I don't think it's necessary. I have obviously diff standards. The Crow is a revenant
I think Crow is way closer to a revenant than Ghost Rider.
Agreed but picture the ghost rider as the patron of revenants.
So is Jason Voorhees

Ghost Rider is a good example of a Revenant, but don't forget about The Crow
Came to post the same thing… 3 years late.
the year and a day deal was brought in to ensure the participants had the entireity of the agreed upon time including the say in which the deal is made.
Deathlock was a great band. Oh wait, wrong Death...oh
I tease. Great work as always guys.
You could use a Swarm of Oni-Driders

Hell yeah I love the October episodes! Halloween is probably my favorite holiday
So Leo DiCaprio is running around for a year to kill Tom Hardy. Guessed they had to film that movie real quick without reshoots!
Undead!Sponsored By Darkvision! Everyone gets that
YES More star content I’m ready to play gardenscapes for 40 mins whilst listening to this 🤩
I hadnt thought about Ghost Rider...... personally, the Revenant made me think of Brandon Lee in The Crow
My warlock has to act as his patrons link to the material plane, so I think his existence is holding the pact.
Speaking of critical role, vax'ildan became a revenant, although I do not remember if Matt ever explained that
You guys have the best channel! Top notch lore and commentary about some fun and spooky creatures.
This sounds exactly like Lady stone heart from game of thrones book is any of yall have read those books
That was Kat, after her throat was cut? I read the books, but it's been awhile.
A year and a day is also the shortest prison sentence, and wolverines claws come out of the area between his knuckles,
The only thing id advertise is 2 episodes a week 😂😂 but one is definitely satisfying lol love you guys ❤
You guys totally rock keep up the awesome content you are now my favorite youtube channel

The best example of a revenant might be Kratos. Just too damn angry to die.
When they started talking about deathlocks, all I can think about is how Fjord from critical role is starting to go against Ok’otoa.
Dungeoncast: most players wouldn't want to play as the embodiment of the Raven Queen.
Most Players: Nani the fuck I wouldn't

I just got rid of it, unless you actually live underground.
Now Uncle John is just dead Sara. LMAO

*SPOILERS FOR GAME OF THRONES BOOKS*
Catlyn Stark becomes a Revenant called Lady Stoneheart after being raised by Barrick Dondaryan. Her revenge is against any and all people in league with the Lannisters in the Riverlands
It comes out from in between his fingers
I took dark vision away, unless you live underground.
Another Revenant...Scorpion from MK
Revenant= The Crow or Jason Vorhes

Could a high level Druid that became a revenant turn into a giant rotting eagle? 😮
would spawn be a revenant ?
Is there a way to become a revenant?
The World Ender by Lord Huron

what if you wish the revenant cant hurt you or kill you
The Crow was a revanant
Hmm can a human become a revenant and try to kill a drow?
If so how common is it?
Lmao I love you guys. Can you tell the story of why you can’t say Dem*****n name anymore? I know why, but what happened exactly ? Lol
Just dont wanna get posessed no mo
The Dungeoncast ......no mo? Lmao
You should make a video about dagon
Hey, you guys should do a video on Kord and Hextor
So, was Vax from Critical Role based more on the 4e form of Revenants? He becomes a revenant and dies and becomes a servant of the Raven Queen.
It’s like the crow - movie , not comic book
Isnt rev official now? Tulok used it
