In normal countries people go out on the streets to fight for workers right and better working conditions, while In Serbia we celebrate with barbicue and picnics, :D

I am going to Sremski Karlovci for a Bermet fortified wine 🍷. Will make sure to fill water 💧 bottle. My Israeli friends had to leave Novi Sad due to Serbia being put on their red list. For Israelis Serbia 🇷🇸 has become a very popular destination. Hopefully situation improves soon as it’s great having a new destination for Israelis. Many are interested in staying longer as Novi Sad offers a lot of opportunities for IT specialists. My friend served 3 extra years in the Israeli IT unit to be eligible for position upon graduation.

Exactly, it is actually so nontypical here. Combining sweet and salty is typical for some other national cuisines, but not at all for Serbian, and that is the only problem here - pushing the combination as Serbian. Honey could go well with pancakes later, for instance.

I would at least not push the combination onto my guests but let them have their own taste and choice. The young lady acted motherly and inappropriate at the same time. I would not feel completely at ease in such situation.

It's not a city, perhaps, but I think it's quite safe to say that it certainly is a town, although not a very big one, but a town it is, because it has this very old and also very urban town center, also its area is much larger than that of an ordinary village, as well as its population, and on top of it, it is a seat of a municipality, a small one, I grant you that, but still a municipality, and there's no municipality in Serbia that hasn't got a town for its seat.
The poet Branko Radičević did not write for children, quite contrary. Obviously, she mixed him with another writer, Jovan Jovanović Zmaj, who did write for children. Both of them are very important in Serbian literature and widely studied in Serbian schools.

Kajmak is made from BOILED fresh milk. After it boiled, let it cool and kajmak will form on top of it. From fresh milk you get standard cream. Homogenized milk can't produce kajmak.

You could rent a nice apartment for like 300 -350 USD per month (Novi Sad is cheaper, Belgrade is more expensive when it comes to rent). Bills are usually around 100 USD, and that's it. You could easily live with 1000 USD per month.
