glad to see Codies managed to permanently solve the porpoising issues on their rendition of the F1-75
Kind of sad really
This says a lot.. i hope this is just a baseline car thing.
Because porpoising adds some realism
Edit: The My Team car should have severe porpoising at the beginning with Higher DF, and lower with Lower DF, but naturally, larger sacrifices in slow speed corners.
It gives you a reason to do 5 seasons and win instead of winning in 3 seasons and maxing out everything by season 3.

I don't want porpoising tbh😂

I saw new podium celebrations on Charles Leclerc’s twitter. The UA-camrs are posting today, so we’ll see then
I think we’re getting longer podium times, there was a trailer that Leclerc put on his Instagram and it showed snippets of the parc ferme/ podium celebrations and it showed Leclerc jumping into the arms of the Ferrari team and then binotto

I was afraid to see this. I appreciate the game is still in beta or showcase stage but it doesn’t actually visually change between now and release. We’ve been crying out for realistic gameplay, realistic camera options, real engine sounds, fisheye lens for onboard cams. Yet it just looks like a reskin of the last two games with a few new tracks.
I might be a bit harsh here but on face value, there’s no real improvements here. Sorry Codies.
Dropping an edit here:
Someone down in the replies made a point that VR is now in the game and they're right it's a huge improvement maybe overlooked. I would remind you that it is only compatible with PC and the core player base mostly wouldn't own VR headsets.
My comment is very pessimistic, I've owned and played every f1 game since 2014. I HOPE Codemasters prove me wrong.
I don't get why you even expected that much from codemasters. It's the same every year, yet people still assume they're gonna drop some realistic game. It isn't even a racing sim.. It's just an arcade game that should be fun to play, but it isn't fun anymore. I have seen a huge increase in dirty drivers since last year when a lot of new fans came to f1. It wasn't always clean, but there were less people driving like they were drunk little kids.

It's nice to see that Codemasters managed to solve the Porpoising problem
why the sound is the same as last year?1
I have determined it is physically impossible for motorsports fans to be happy
This game needs a lot to convince me to buy it:
- Improved tracks, like Interlagos, Spa, and Yas Marina
- Improved sounds
- Realistic rain racing line
- Extra circuits, like Hockenheim, Mugello, Istanbul, and Sepang, even if they are DLC. It feels like you barely do anything after the game launches.
- I wouldn't mind if you imported F1 2021 cars into this game, I really like driving them.
- C1 to C5 tire compound
- Better calibrated AI according to the AI difficulty level, so I don't have to guess the difficulty every race.
- Cross compatibility
- Better fuel predicition, and also an ability to select a tune for the engine for the weekend. A tune slider. Teams can't change the power mid-race but they can do it prior to it. We could tune the engine to deliver more power, but will cost more fuel and reliability. So fuel efficiency upgrades actually makes sense. I could improve fuel efficiency to run a higher power tune and keep the same weight, or increase engine power upgrade but also make the engine slightly more thirsty. Could be fun to get the Mercedes and put it on maximum power in Interlagos and just rocket by everybody else.
If the next game doesn't have these, I don't see the point of buying the game. It won't feel like an improvement, so I will stick to the 2021 game, as it works just fine for me.
The tracks have all been updated, confirmed by ea, Sound is already improved and still a wip, Rain days look a lot better and realistic, ai looks even better this year, also the manual/cinematic option is cool, nice step foward. Aaravas video shows these out pretty effectively.

Who exactly do you expect to answer that? Nobody here knows.
As a sim racer, I can say that turn 3 should always be better if taken inwards but of course there are times that your setup works better otherwise. in anyway it does not make that much difference in whole lap in my opinion.

Honestly, this looks pretty awesome to me. Yes the game is still in testing stages/alpha and needs polishing and stuff, but I think it'll end up pretty cool, I loved both F1 2019 - 2021
The thing is that I see A LOT of people complaining about the sound and comparing to to games like Assetto Corsa & AMS2.
I am in no way defending codemasters or anyone, just stating my opinion.
The thing is that some people don't understand that AMS2/Assetto Corsa use a completely different audio/sound engine than codemasters F1 games.
Assetto/AMS2 uses the FMOD audio system/engine, while F1 games have always used the WWise audio system.
Both systems are great and versatile but, you can have completely different outcomes/results depending on how you use it.
Most Assetto Corsa sound mods are amazing because FMOD allows you to use different segments of audio, for different RPMs, etc, it allows for easy sound mod development from just short samples from either IRL or videos.
F1 Games use the WWise engine, which uses the sounds in a completely different way than AC does, the WWise audio engine in their games process audio by using around 4-5 samples total. A steady engine, exhaust, and internal acceleration, redline, steady deceleration, idle. This is much harder to capture and development than how FMOD uses audio.
Yes, DR2/Dirt rally 2 uses WWise and sounds miles better but, think about how much more rally cars are accessible/easier to record than actual F1 Cars...
In DiRT rally 2, they used I think around 3-4 microphones, engine bay, exhaust, internal, and transmission I assume.
They do something similar for the F1 cars I assume, but it it still MUCH harder to get the actual recordings they need.
One day we'll see codemasters swap over to the FMOD sound engine, or manufacturers will allow for better recordings.
then they should switch to FMOD for F1
The game is less than 2 months from release. This IS the final game. I understand it but don't try trick yourself into hope.

My personal favorite part is the Turn 6-7-8 section around the fake marina. Starts as a fairly gentle left hand turn that then tightens into a almost a hairpin.
