One thing I've noticed, the cars sound a lot more authentic in replays (I didn't play the Beta just something noticed) nice to them FINALLY improving that
they do, but from what i experienced in the beta it's just a static sound fixed to the corners, that activates roughly depending on where your car is. it'll sound like you're blasting out of the corner, even if you've spun out on the apex and are standing still.
Being able to choose track layouts would be cool. And as well as including the classic cars, classic layouts and classic tracks, so you can race any historic race or championship.
They can't claim it's due to copyright either. Forza and Gran Turismo bypass that by allowing the player to create anything from scratch using just shapes. With F1, it's been the same junk for over a decade now, it's ridiculous.

i think the simple change of having different effects each season that influences car development is going to make the game feel so much more alive instead of the same dull grind every year.
They had Portugal and China last year but they probably either don’t see the point because while it would be cool and people would use it they would only use it for so long and F1 probably wants them to focus on present cars. Licensing might be why some of the tracks are not there, so you might just need to lower your expectations.

Laser scanned tracks, more creative control features, realisitic graphics should be the main priorities. Like with 2023, nothing I’ve seen so far makes me want to part with £60-£70 of my money. I’ve seen mods people have made in which the on-board graphics look real! There needs to be a huge re-vamp. Not sure if its EA’s influence or people at Codemasters not pushing boundaries anymore
I mean, realistically the F1 games haven't changed much at all since F1 2016, so I'd say this is Codies' fault in this case. The only two major changes they had made since 2016 was F2 - which is a really nice addition, and MyTeam - which is just a normal career, but with 11th team on which you can plaster some generic livery and a teammate

You hate the *AAA video game + publishers industry. Indie games like Stardew Valley or others get free updates all the time. Hell, even a race sim like RFactor 2 keeps on updating the game/handling/graphics/etc for free every now and then. Even years after release.

R&D so far looks more or less the same, that means if they do not remove the financial side of things, teams like Williams, Haas and other teams are still gonna be locked from upgrading more advanced R&D upgrades and won't be able to catch up with teams like Red Bull or Ferrari that aren't locked from upgrading those parts. If they remove this thing i'll be very happy, but to me the R&D chart looks completely the same, so i have some doubts. The last time R&D chart worked properly in driver career mode was in F1 2019, there you could see teams like Williams starting with nothing but catching up later a lot.
Accolades in all you guys could think of... Not longer career lengths than 10 years or careers that led to team principal career or better customization to the career like track layouts, drive direction, point distribution and tracks not on the schedule, new talent to appear in career instead of 10 years of transfers, votes on FIA rule changes from year to year, pit crew management of any kind, new manufacturers (even fake ones due to licensing issues), new car makes (even if fake ones due to licensing issues), access to former models of F1 to set as default, different things to research than the same components since 18, etc ....

So imagine if they did it not at a race weekend, on a street circuit. Logistic nightmares. I mean purposely made ones would be possible if the circuit is booked out for like 3 weeks to scan though. Idk if the purpose made circuits even have enough leeway. Also I think codemasters just believe that using already optimized tracks are way easier than to scan a brand new one which can create issues
You know what I'd actually prefer on bringing a legend to modern f1. Give us a classic f1 season 🙏 say f1 '92 or something. Pick a year and see how it sells. Maybe don't put all the frills and extras and sell it for £20 - 30.

Watched the video and read the comments. In summary the game looks and plays very much like the previous one or two. I don't want to drive as a classic driver, I want to driver their classic cars! Plus no mention if they have sorted out VR yet. Best to wait until others has bought and reported back and even then wait until it is on sale for £4.99.

It won't be. It's all window dressing and nothing really will be that different underneath it. The fact that your driver has attribute points (which is a huge change) and yet they didn't tell us about that shows that these aren't going to be meaningful changes sadly

@@DM-vo2ke maybe but as I said compared to what we have which is barebones it does seem quite an improvement but I'm under no illusion that it's a game changer just a much needed upgrade/overhaul

Watched the video and read the comments. In summary the game looks and plays very much like the previous one or two. I don't want to drive as a classic driver, I want to driver their classic cars! Plus no mention if they have sorted out VR yet. Best to wait until others has bought and reported back and even then wait until it is on sale for £4.99.
This is the one I’m waiting for. If they have the ability for us to pick and choose bodywork for my team like they have in WRC it’ll be legendary. Makes sense with their new aero and tire wear system. Fingers crossed
