Personally after having played MW2019, 2022 and 2023 beta MW2019 set the standard of what future modern CODs are to become the graphics, physics, sound design, attention to detail and kick started the Warzone mode. Game itself was rich in content, from missions to community events to get blueprints. Even in store there will be free knife/weapon/vehicle skins from time to time. Another factor for its success its during the Wuhan Virus pandemic hence more player pool allowing for more varied gameplay in MP and Warzone. Clean house SP mission has to be one of the most recent memorable mission. In comparison, MW2022 felt more refined with less bugs but the character felt like putting about 80lb more since 2019. The tracer rounds are bland, and the battlepass blueprints just okay. Personally I prefer the aesthetics of MW2019. MW2023 has not been officially released, but in comparison to MW2019 has a more snappier gameplay for Run and Gun style.
@KANA-ur8qtmw3 is similar to mw2019 but with mw2 animations and graphics which isn’t all that bad but the game didn’t come out yet so we can’t really say. The beta was amazing and way better than mw2 beta.
@@AdoreYouInAshXI imo MWII campaign wasnt terrible,I did like the new characters Alejandro and bringing back Shadow company. But did have alot more 'hollywood' action moments I wasnt a fan of. I won't buy MWIII cause I don't play multiplayer, so just watched a playthrough of the campaign and im glad I didn't.
@@misaroorasim Edit- sorry this ended up longer than I thought, I was bored lol END Edit - MWII's campaign was far too stylized and unrealistic. I hated that Laswell was supposed to be a CIA analysist yet she's out on a boat sniping people in the field and having cringe dialogue about what her favorite gun is. She's the generic "gotta have badass whaman" character that every western game has to add as part of the diversity checklist. Same with the ultra cringe El Sinombre (whatever her name was), and really the whole cartel storyline, which was like a bad, low budget American movie's idea of what the mexican cartel is. Then you had all the goofy action hero dialogue and banter between Ghost and Soap. I also hated the addition of armored enemies. It just turned enemies into bullet sponges which aren't fun in any game, and made it feel more like I was playing warzone/DMZ than a single player campaign. Same with all the ways they tried to "enhance" the campaign by adding missions such as where you have to guide Ghost using the cameras (I know there was a short sequence of this in MW2019 - but it made more sense there, and was very short), and where Soap has to sneak around making gadgets out of items. Those ideas just fell flat for me. Lastly, it's obvious that a different developer made the game (in many ways), but the thing that really bothered me about this was how the guns just didn't make sense. You have P90's with 16 inch barrels. Why would an elite operator have a civilian model of a PDW with a 16 inch barrel? That's just one example, there were lots of weapon combinations that made no sense. It's like they wanted to add different weapons into the game, but they clearly didn't know much about military weapons so instead of just adding entire new weapons to the game that exist in real life, they just lazily changed up configurations using attachments and configurations that make no sense, and that military operators would never use. MWII overall just felt like a precursor to introducing all the even worse ideas that MWIII had, which makes sense seeing as how MWIII was supposed to just be DLC for MWII. Edit - I also only play CoD for campaigns these days. And I didn't buy MWIII either, thank God. I had an idea it wouldn't be good based on MWII, but I didn't think it would be anywhere near as bad as it actually is. I will say that in MWII I liked Graves and Shadow Company. But I hate how CoD just magically resurrects people like Alex and Graves when they want to. It takes every bit of emotion and suspense out of the story. Alex's death/sacrifice was actually meaningful, and felt impactful after he slowly developed a relationship with Farrah, and went from being just a US tool of war to a free thinking man, that was willing to die for a cause he believed in. Only to have him pop back up with no explanation (and I don't count the goofy ass Warzone/DMZ stuff) in the main campaign series. Same with Graves. Can't wait until the next game when we find out Soap had a new brain transplant after being shot in the head, and is now back with Ghost to take down the entirety of Russia lol.
@@AdoreYouInAshXIyou nailed everything down perfectly. The only thing I disagree with is your opinion on the mission "Alone" in MWII because I kind of liked that
I love that I can tell what gun someone is using just by the third person sound profile, suppressed or otherwise. I hated playing MW22 because literally every 9mm suppressed SMG sounded like someone with the runs letting it rip and anything else sounded like the same generic gunfire. Foot step audio still a bit too much, would've been better if it were limited to being that way for certain terrain and dependent on the spaces you're in, but it's at least consistent.
I feel like ever since mw'22 and what little bit we have seen of mw'23, I really do feel like we had it made in mw'19. Everything felt tense and gritty. Mw22 did have some tense-ness to it, but felt more flashy and cinematic and not as tense compared to mw19. Personally, I did enjoy the campaign for mw'22, but mw'19 really did have some memorable campaign missions. I remember watching some behind the scenes video for the mw19 gun animations and was in awe about it. Mw'22 really did have potential, but after seeing what activision put for s1, it just did not feel the same seeing hardly anything new and felt like was that one Toy Story scene wherw Andy did not want to do anything with Woody.
Mw2 and 3 have huge lighting and shading issues. The further away you are from your teammates or opponents their entire skins get a white powdered glow to them. That’s lighting and shading issues they can’t resolve. This didn’t happen in mw19. Operators looks real no matter what distance.
The visual recoil with irons in MW2019 is perfect. MW3 toned it down from MW2 but when you use MW2 weapons on MW3, M4 for example, it’s still horrendous. To the point that irons aren’t even usable.
Also to note for mw3 when they did uav and counter uav I think they had no voicelines because it was bugged. The beta voicelines were bugged and would work on and off. Also 11:51 is mw2019 not mw2
Man I’m considering going back to MW19 Multiplayer. What a kick in the gut it feels like watching this video 😩 I guess it was too quick to move onto a sequel, that game was is an actual improvement feels wise. We got new mechanics, a new game mode DMZ (which practically is all I go on to play now) and new characters but nothing beats the satisfaction playing, or even just watching MW19
It is superior in every way. I always cringed at people hating on it for reasons that didn't exist. The maps were totally ok and they grew on me hard, at this point I miss them. All the guns felt new and original even though some were franchise classics. They really fucked up and went the wrong way with 2 and 3..... Especially with the daily challenges to unlock shit .. how genuinely fucking stupid.
7:03 what I really appreciate the most about MWIII is flaashbangs don’t blind you when you’re looking away they just need to make sure they update it so it doesn’t affect you when it’s behind a wall or building. Okay just some observations: - Glass Physics: MW19 toys with it, MWII perfects it, MWIII reverts it back to MW19 or you just didn't keep it fair, you fired in groups of 2 for MWIII. > MWII wins. - Explosive vs Vehicle: They are identical for all 3 > Tied. - Shooting at Vehicles: MW19 is bare-minimum standard, MWII improves it, MWIII perfects it > MWIII wins. - Shooting at Tire: They are all identical > Tied. - Killstreaks: MW19 has faster call-in animation but not across the board, MWII slows them down significantly but it's also not across the board, MWIII is only an improvement on MWII, MW19's average speed still rivals them both > MW19 wins. - Fire Mode Selector: MW19 got it right in the first place, MWII is an improvement but pretty sure the lack of audio is an oversight rather than purposely drowning it out as MWIII brings those audio cues back. > For the meantime, MW19 wins. - Grenade Explosion: MW19 isn't that impressive, MWII was a slight improvement, MWIII perfects it with nicely looking smoke. particle effects and even includes extra audio effects > MWIII wins. - Flashbang: MW19 isn't that impressive, MWII over-does it by introducing the weird dirt filters, MWIII wins across the board with just the right amount of effects and you can actually turn your back to it and not get flashed > MWIII wins. - Thermite: Not the thermite itself but MW19 relies too much on constast to look good, making Thermite looks blown out, this is why MWII and MWIII tone down the contrast and lower the vibrance, because a good-looking game isn't worth it when players can barely see people sitting in dark corners. Also, the Thermobaric from MWIII, that's possibly the worst 3D explosion I've ever seen lol > For the meantime, MWII wins. - Smoke: None of them are realistic as that's not how an M18 Smoke Grenade works, it chucks out smoke at a gradual pace, not an instant smokescreen > Tied. - First Person Animation: MW19 and MWII are animated by pretty much the same people so quality control is actually a thing, with MWII having more variety. MWIII is a Sledgehammer attempt on mimicking the art style of the crew at IW so of course it doesn't look as good. Also, the viewmodels in MWII and MWIII are posed differently than MW19, in MW19 the buttstock of the M4 is literally in your face which is not where it should've been, MWII and MWIII "fixed" this by having the model posed slightly upward, so the buttstock would be at the level of the armpit instead of at eye level > For the meantime, MWII wins. - Ladder: Is the same on all 3 but MWII and MWIII have the benefit of Ledge Hang and potentially other stuffs in MWIII > MWIII wins. - Map Intro Cinematic: Are the same on all 3 but MWIII is going for the nostalgic B+W filter before the countdown similar to MW2 (2009) > Tied. - Shooting at Objects: Pretty much comparable, not much to say here since this isn't just them being lazy or incompetent, there is alot of nuances behind closed doors with these kind of fidelity. > No Comment. - Doors: MW19 actually has the most detailed doors lol, it has more stages of interaction, opening and closing are way smoother. MWII and MWIII are pretty much identical and are really robotic > MW19 wins, even tho people absolutely hate doors. - Shooting at the Ground: MW19 has smaller particles, MWII has bigger particles, MWIII has both > It really depends on personal preferences. - Execution: MW19 camera angles are generic. MWII improves the variety and other misc. stuffs but the angle still looks generic. MWIII...holy crap that the best camera panning I have seen years, it looks soooo seemless, feel like I was watching action followed by more action instead of stopping to watch a cutscene > MWIII wins. - Jumping on Cars: MW19 is just babystep, MWII perfects it, MWIII tweaks it so the vehicles don't bounce as much > MWII still wins.

@@bokc_nonpopularsalt1011 Okay just my two cent, and this is gonna get me alot of flame: I'm actually not a fan of MW19 audio design, relies too much on treble and bass with horrible audio mixing. So for me MWII and MWIII wins in this category. In MW19, gun goes boom, explosion goes boom, even the slightest audio cues...BOOOOOOM. It's too much, too excessive and unrealistic as hell. I've had a fair amount of experience with real firearms without ear-pro, they do go boom, but not the MW19 boom. It's much subtle yet still loudly boom and it will ring your ear-drum to the point of felt pain. Real firearms ring your ear-drum, not setting off an explosion at the end of the barrel. In MWII and III, they actually went out to record actual firearms, artilerry barrage, airstrikes,...instead of trying to craft them in a studio with zero preferences, they improve the reverb engine, audio-mixing are just about perfect. Weapon and environmental elements feel more realistic due to having better and more realistic sound effects. That's partially why people claim MWII and III are step-back. Because gamers have already gotten used to hearing "fake" gun audio, so much they actually believe that real firearms sound like Thor ascending from the heaven. When in reality, they are kinda muted and tamed (to a certain degree) which is exactly how weapons in MWII and III sound like. You can search up any video about the AK-47 on UA-cam (granted with good audio) and you will instantly understand why some people praise MWII for its audio design, it's almost identical to the real thing. Another thing is, I have studio quality headsets used for music production which are designed to have much more neutral frequency response compare to the regular gamey stuffs, my audio experience with MWII has been nothing but incredible. Most people can't afford studio level gears, that partly explain why MWII sound shitters than MW19. It's because they stopped relying on old-fashion audio tropes used in MW19, this is the first time CoD players are exposed to this level of realism in audio, they need time to get used to it.
@ insightful thank you for your input on this. And you are right. The sounds in m19 sound pleasing to me imo but in MW2 they sound a lot more realistic.
2:49 Calling a tiny spy plane from your shoulder never feels so epic, i dunno why they don't recicle this animation instead of the generic "Cellphone call"
MW3 has similar scorestreaks to Black Ops 2 (Remote Turret having similar model to BO2's Turret, Guardian-SC: precursor to Guardian, Mosquito Drone similar to Hunter Killer)
There might be high chance that the next Treyarch cod it will be something related with Black Ops 2 so they might taking some assets from there since Treyarch's cod development started even before MWIII
the people who think MW19 looks the best are lost or just incredibly biased. 8:20 makes it blatantly obvious, when he's aiming the gun into the skybox in MW2/3 it almost looks real while you can easily tell that MW19 is a game. MW3 probably has the most realistic color palette of the three. Everything else is just copium. Go outside.
The way glass breaks in MW2 is impressive; real car windows never break like that in other MW. Car window IRL they never shatter into large, sharp pieces when they break. The safety of windows glass is that they will shatter into small, non-sharp pieces. BTW MW2019 is the best in 3 of this
Mw2019 Has everything right and job done Animations weapon sounds color and shading is more realistic to me and graphics so cool and better than new mw2 and mw3

MW19 prioritizes visuals over gameplay, then they realised how stupid that was and tone the lighting down in II and III, just so people can actually see campers in dark corners because that was complained so much back in 19. The same reason most people play PUBG on low setting even with beefy graphic cards. They can’t see shit with all the clutters.
@r u sped. Mw2019 has the best performance also lmao. Clearly u haven’t played it. I have the series x currently, and the Xbox one I also have has the same type of consistent frames. Yes my series does 120hz vs the xone 60hz but either way both consistently hold a solid performer rating
@@kombatking7463mw2019 has better FPS as map lighting is baked into a lightmap file rather than constantly rendering the lighting in real time for each frame, this unfortunately bloated MW2019's file size. Dude, I love how in MW 2019 the weapons have a more rustic and imperfect appearance, full of scratches and bumps (you can handle it very well with the AK) while in MW 2 and 3 the weapons look like toys
Guys, you are very nostalgic. MW19 was an excellent game, but despite the weapons having damage and scratches, the weapons in the new games are just as detailed. And the sound design of the new ones is much better retouched and worked on. Furthermore, there is a stark difference between playing and watching the video on UA-cam. I recommend those who can, to download the old game and see for yourself.
I've played all the games and can definitely confirm the guns in MW2 look like some fortnite one-toned, low detailed coloured bs. The attention to detail on every gun in MW2019 is way ahead of the bland colours and low level detailed guns in MW2
I think that right now the devs are doing what they did a decade ago. Making the first modern warfare the most realistic and making the graphics look insanely good. The second MW being the most arcade style game where it’s not as realistic as the first one but tones is down a little. and the third MW being the most refined out of them all. to me it’s just like how it was when the original MW’s came out
Mw2019 takes big W. Mw2019 uses IW 8.0 engine And Mw2022/Mw2023 uses IW 9.0 engine. They said Iw 9.0 has the big upgrade from iw 8.0 mw to iw 9.0 mw2/mw3. Of course they lied. Like Mw2019 have highly contrasted, darker shadows, and the brightness is lower a little bit, and it’s more vibrant and saturated than mw2. Some mw2 maps is filtered, like greenish, or something. Mw2 does have a lack of contrast, and vibrant. Vibeant are less but the entire screen is more greenier. Mw2 seems like still in beta. But in mw3. It was a little bit upgrade of mw2. It doesn’t have a filter anymore unlike mw2. Mw2 have less contrast, higher highlight, lighter shadows a little bit, and you can see more in dark places on mw2. Which bocw is still more realistic than mw2. Mw3: Mw3 have little bit of lower brightness, have highly contrasted, and little bit more saturated than mw2. Now it lacks of filter in mw3. Mw3 doesn’t have lack of contrast and vibrant. Black ops 3 might be seemed like more realistic and have better graphics than mw2.
I feel like this gets under appreciated, but my gosh the smoke grenade in mw2019 was the just a chef's kiss! I like how the devs used simple sprites for the smoke effect, not even some dynamic simulated smoke, just some simple well placed animated 2D sprites. It's simple but it woks so well! In the future games, the smokes are just like haze, nothing special.

Id say it was the best thing about it. Ground war was cod bf4 hybrid. Other stuff felt like what should have been the standered game modes since ghosts. Yeah, MW2019 was just a small glimpse into the old CoD4 and MWII (the original). Then they went right back to fucking it all back up again.
Personally after having played MW2019, 2022 and 2023 beta
MW2019 set the standard of what future modern CODs are to become the graphics, physics, sound design, attention to detail and kick started the Warzone mode.

MW19 wasn’t perfect, but it’s the better Modern CoD post BO4
I loved the MW2019 campaign, it wasnt completely outlandish and was grounded in some realism
It's the best CoD campaign since the original MWII. Then they had to go and fuck it up with MWII and III reboots.
@@misaroorasim Edit- sorry this ended up longer than I thought, I was bored lol END Edit -
MWII's campaign was far too stylized and unrealistic.
The only thing I disagree with is your opinion on the mission "Alone" in MWII because I kind of liked that
@@AdoreYouInAshXI You think MW2019 has a better campaign than BO1, BO2, OG MW3, IW, BOCW? Yikes.
I kinda like all the aspects of MW2019. The gun sound effect is top tier while the movement is fluid
The transition from B&W to colored in the MW3 multiplayer cinematics gave me huge nostalgia from OG Black ops and OG MW
MW2019 is the best what happens to COD series. Even the story line is better than MW2(the new one)
Obviously MW2 (not MW22) is so much better in every way but at least MW19 had better feeling
Mw'22 really did have potential, but after seeing what activision put for s1, it just did not feel the same seeing hardly anything new and felt like was that one Toy Story scene wherw Andy did not want to do anything with Woody.
everything in mw19 looks like the most incredible high budget movie, looks like it feels amazing.
Mw2 and 3 have huge lighting and shading issues. The further away you are from your teammates or opponents their entire skins get a white powdered glow to them. That’s lighting and shading issues they can’t resolve. This didn’t happen in mw19. Operators looks real no matter what distance.
mw2019 has cheap lightnihg and shading, looks way to bright...
Ohhhhh, that's why I was constantly losing my mind hearing my operator saying "GRENADE GRENADE GRENADE GRENADE GRENADE" every passing second

Okay just some observations:
- Glass Physics: MW19 toys with it, MWII perfects it, MWIII reverts it back to MW19 or you just didn't keep it fair, you fired in groups of 2 for MWIII. > MWII wins.
- Explosive vs Vehicle: They are identical for all 3 > Tied.
- Shooting at Vehicles: MW19 is bare-minimum standard, MWII improves it, MWIII perfects it > MWIII wins.
- Shooting at Tire: They are all identical > Tied.
- Killstreaks: MW19 has faster call-in animation but not across the board, MWII slows them down significantly but it's also not across the board, MWIII is only an
improvement on MWII, MW19's average speed still rivals them both > MW19 wins.

How about sound effects?
