@@gregmize01 I liked it historically, Ed O'Brien episode is what first brought it to my attention, but I almost feel it should be renamed to That Gain Stage Show
Just watched this one again because I’m considering the Skylar. The “piece” Pete played at the end of the episode is mind-blowing! So creative. Very interesting melodically with very inventive chord progressions. D. Pete plays with such beautiful dynamic expression. So glad I revisited this episode!
I dont know why, but these appeals to me much more then the Universal audio products. And then I checked the price, like wohooo. This might solve my reverb pedal dilema
You know pedals are special when in the demo the presenters just want to play. This is one of those demos. And my name is Skyler, close enough, I need one.
The smaller the world gets the more it is obvious that somewhere in our hardwiring we still rock the same whether it is actually whacking rocks or just searching for the sound.
A name of English origins, Skylar means “noble scholar.” A variant of Schuyler, the name has quite a few other spelling variations out there including Skyler and Skyllar.
GFI makes some of the only good shimmer FX. Most others have a grainy quality that undercuts the intended gorgeousness. GFI has a smart way of diffusing it so it never gets weird. I love my Specular Reverb v3.
Looks as though they might be a bit more robust than the originals. Let's hope so. The clear plastic knobs on my Specular Reverb V3 were very fragile and the LED's in the knobs would get loose and fail quickly. Also the switches were so far apart that you needed stupidly wide feet to push them simultaneously to change banks.
How does the Skylar algorithms compare to the Specular Tempus? I just bought a Specular Tempus a couple weeks back and I absolutely love it. Not a fan of its delays, but its reverbs are phenomenal.
this has nothing to do with this vid but,,,,,what is a good 1 or 2 or 3 affordable drive pedals that will stack good with my new dane,,,,,, Durple ?????
Why TRS? Not many people already own the 20ft TRS cables and Y splitters necessary to run this thing in stereo the way it is in this video. I'd bet most people probably just assume it's mono as so many pedals are.
I like this format. It’s like a version of That Pedal Show for people with shorter attention spans (like me)
that pedal show has grown tedious imo

Now you got some delay and verb going dudes. This team at GFI are so talented....... it's just beautiful. Thx

Finally! A video on these wonderful pedals
I love the form factor of these pedals. Compact, with a digital display. Thanks for the demo, great job as usual!
Shimmer is often done poorly and very OTT. This is incredible!
You guys were hilarious on this one. Nice sounding pedals too.
Man oh man that Skylar is fantastic
The Orca is whaley good
Walrus Makko series still on top for “single” pedal sized madness 🤘
Good to see Pete on his pressie :)
I got an instant Zeppelin hit during the intro! Well done, Pete.

This music is so soothing and peaceful! Thank you so much for sharing! Peace and blessings to everyone!🌻🌻✨💖✨

The Orca is fantastic
Those pedals would make my mop pole and string sound like the edge's guitar.
The danish boy with his beautiful purple PRS, always a nice thing to see. 👍🏼💪🏼
Some Sound Options Galore 👍👍🎶🎶🎸
14:40 I thought he was gonna play Dire Docks for a moment. I would've melted
Have you heard djpretzel's "Sunken Suite"? Absolute classic.
Cool, I wish GFI squeezed another couple of sounds in the Skylar... and more presets.....then I guess it would clash with the Speculum Temptress
Specular Tempus*
The more I hear a PRS Silver Sky the more I want one.
Interesting. I have never heard one I thought sounded good.
@@trijigonso I understand, you didn’t like Danish Pete’s tone and you don’t like John Mayer’s tone?
@@glennmartin4232 I very much disliked it.

green is the new delay.
Play 60 mins of that and put it on Spotify !
Pete's a bright Homonid! Way to use that forebrain Pete!
Nice, but I've never come across any delay to compare with the Blue Nebula, from Stanley effects. They are astonishing.

lmao I never thought I'd get a HOYAAAA from Pete
Does the Skylar have a hold function?

Basically skylar algorithms is based on the tempus algorithms
I wanted rabea here..
4:40
Can I get a HOYA!
......hoya~
...did I hear a little Girls Aloud Love Machine playing from DP around 14m10s?
Me at the beginning of the video: C'mon, do we really need MORE delay and reverb pedals?
Me at the end: ...dammit...
do orca have a dotted 8 mode?
Love that PRS silver sky Purple Guitar, Mister Pete. Sounds killer.
woahh GFI!!

Searching for my one & only reverb...
Strange.. I was just thinking about buying a pedal for ambiance.
Hey guys, what is the red digital display numbers in the background on the wall?
It's a decibel readout
@@benjaminfowler4513 i thought so, but wasn't sure. My wife asked me, and i wanted to make sure i wasn't talking out of my ass!😂😂😂

The killer whale or orca is a toothed whale belonging to the oceanic dolphin family :-)
Descended from four-legged creatures that lived on land.
Good bot, but this isn't Reddit!
Isn’t the stryman the big sky? Sounds like a stryman copy maybe.
Nice!!!
Lol Pete. Lightening Bolt, Thunder Bolt, and Tightenthat Bolt.
Tricky question i would say you need both delay and reverb lol
panoramic as in pan left right.
👌
Need some rockabilly licks.
Name the kid Rusty! (Rusty Bolt)
No midi... So close...
It sometimes sounds like it makes the guitar sound out of tune.
Great effects but don’t care much for the drive your using.
Pretty sure theres no MIDI on these.. Im all set.
Omg pist my pants 😂
What’s your name…? Nut. 😂
Door Bolt.
I really dislike when Pete uses that guitar. I just don't like the way it sounds.
Muffled
This channel has become completely about advertising ☹️
