Metric/ decimal measurement disc is probably when we changed to metric so it's easier /quicker to find equivalent. Us 'oldies' still work in feet and iches rather than metres etc. May be from the 1970's . Love your charity shop. hauls

The "urn" is actually an scaled down milk churn. A container for milk when it was collected from the farm.

Quick idea from the stair handrail and post.
Spindles in and post in white, handrail could be stained dark wood or painted the same colour as the doors. This makes changing the colour easier when you fancy a change, as all the troublesome bits can remain white.
Love the metric converter! From the 1970s when metric was introduced, so people would find the imperial measure in the window, and find the metric equivalent (pre-Google! 😄)

I have worked in 5* hotels .... Toilet rolls should definitely hang with paper at the front .I love seeing your new finds, almost as much as getting mine😊 I think. Black paint for the hand rail on the stairs would look good. X
You may need to invest in a laser pointer for the kittens. You can maybe get one at a dollar (£) store❤

Laser pointers are fun. But dangerous for the eyes. As long as they don't turn and look at it. Jackson Galaxy is a great UA-cam cat guy
@@LindainGermany they also disable any CCTV camera if you point it directly at the lense . Burglar gangs are using them for that .

Just a suggestion for your voile curtain- think about using a tea bag in warm water in the bowl. The result is a more natural antigue colour- just be careful and don't leave it in there for too long! Good luck x
You may very well dye the curtain with the pompoms in a bath with strong tea. Or if you want to get it more yellow, a bath with onion peels.

The towel around the fire alarm reminded me of a Friend's episode where Phoebe struggles with it to stop bleeping even after taken the batteries off and the fire man bringing it back after she threw it away but involved in her blanket which was named after her hahaha only Pheebs

Those German candle holders must shine beautifully lit, as they are stunning unlit! Great find!
Also, I've taken a single curtain panel cut in half length wise and hemmed with no sew iron on tape. It looks lovely over the window itself. Place in a longer rod stretched over either side of the window over the wall. I makes the window look much wider! I do this with sheers over the window and panels over the walls, and they look much more expensive!

It's in the shape of a milk can and those homes are scattered all over the mountains.

My New Year's Eve party was beyond Fabulous! Cranberry martinis in a cooler with a spigot and the "House" drink that night was Espresso Martinis! OMG so good! 😋
I met so many nice people and it was a glitzy affair.
3 ladies and 2 young men flew in from New York,; all are models. Good meeting them all.

The tiles are very pretty. I think a tile or stencil in a similar style would look beautiful on your stair risers as you look up the stairs and would tie in beautifully with the blue doors. The mirror above the fire is perfect. The whole time I've watched I've thought you need a mirror there. Mirrors are magic is smaller spaces.
I am a bit confused about your home style? You seem to be going for a more traditional look (kitchen shelf, the delft tile) but still have super modern things going on (new loo roll holders etc). I think stick to 1 style per room and edit the stuff that doesn’t fit ruthlessly looks best. Just my 2 cents 😂 I enjoy your videos whatever you do.

Stairs - you might consider rubber stair mats (individual for each stair) as they prevent slipping and also cut down on noise. Also, you can find special paint which is very hard-wearing (used for auditoriam floors, etc)

Lovely charity shop finds! The two candle holders are my favorite item. You can dye polyester with tea if you want it a bit "less white".
I think the loft staircase would look good painted the same color as the bedroom and bathroom doors. The big mirrors look great (and thumbs up for the way the chandelier reflects in the over-mantel mirror) and love, love love those German candle holders. Congrats on the nail biting--that's a triumph!
That side table is gorgeous, as was the kitten patting your face :) those converters (the round thing with numbers on) used to be really popular. My husband used to use one when he was working (back in the day!)

Your solor tin with tea light inside, the top has the space to put a wax sent , that is its function.
I think the little disc you have is just a handy conversion wheel from imperial to metric possibly dating back to the 60s or 70s. People in the UK worked from imperial measurements back then until we changed over to metric (some of us still do - l can’t weigh out baking ingredients in kilograms!) so the converters were given away by shops and businesses at the time. This company were probably taking advantage of an advertising opportunity!

You do right getting sumone in Mr C!! I moved house and my partner was away at the time, and dint arrive back to help....so had to removed all tvs from the walls/and huge stereo speakers we used to have in the corners of the room......to get them to the nwe house and break every single one, trying to put them up with the kids!! (imagine big tvs, no stands to be on the ground, proped against the wall, while i try my best to put them up, and then BANG, they nose dive into the floor, screen first!!- oops!)

When you repaint the doors ,I would paint the trim around the doors the same colour. It will make the doors seem larger and ceilings higher. You might want to paint the banister the same colour and do a tone on tone wallpaper on the wall . Therefore the wallpaper won't compete with your gallery wall you want to do.😊

Hello Mr C I loved this vlog your opening was so cute with mittens waking you up. The new mirror above the fire place is a gorgeous look but, I notice a lot of your frames on your walls are hold. I think a dab of gold paint on the mirror would look fantastic, even if it's a little gold on the inside mirror. Oh and them tear drop candle holders you lucky bugger lol they are gorgeous. Love the candle holders when we were in Munich last Christmas I did see them at the markets . They really glisten with tea lights in them . Also the tiles are lovely they should look really great . I just had my kitchen renovated. I found a 12 x 12 in glass tile made up of 9 rows of different gray smaller tiles. My contractor cut the tiles into 3 rows of 3. We created a straight line between 3 x 4 inch white ceramic tile. I am so glad I decided to add the accent tiles. Your place looks great.
