I'm always floored by Kohl's seamless transitions between voices - the immediate lock on 0:37 is stunning!
The way the tenor sung the G-A-Bb had a punch to it and it was incredibly satisfying to hear.
I agree!!!!
Thats what im saying. David Zimmerman is a legend
@@WinnysMusic he doesn't usually sing using his full chest voice, which he seems to do right there. Really cool to detach himself from the rest of the guys in this moment of solo time :)
I WAS JUST WATCHING THIS! the range that Instant Classic has is unimaginable 😭😭 BARI ON TOP
They never fail to amaze me.
Omg this might be my fav tag
you should do GQ’s when you’re smiling tag, if not the whole thing. one of the best performances on youtube imo
FACTS
This sounds so cool! Thank you for transcribing stuff like this. I love the tenor part here.
0:40 goes epic harmony
Man that was good
I think you have the lead and bari swapped in measures 28 and 29. Can definitely see Kohl changing notes on "some." It's a bit easier to hear on the studio recording with the panning
You’re correct
jokes on you ITS ON FREAKING F MAJOR
Yeah I only meant the last chord lol, but F major is also great!
We've done G, Gb and C, Can we do this for all keys/chords?
I'm thinking about it...
If you do Eb, it's got to be Realtime's Yesterday I Heard the Rain. Greatest Bari tag ever
@@4partharmony208 Oh I hope he transcribes this and the other one by Realtime (keep your sunny side up), it has a bass slide that very much illustrates their immaculate blend
@@4partharmony208agreed!
i agree
👍
Interesting... A group of tenors / baritones.
This ain't no C major tho
That's F major
The key is F major, but the very last chord they sing is C major
@@jasonfieler that makes sense now
Then why does C sound like the tonic?
@@gobalswg he wrote it in F major, that's why I got confused
@@gobalswg it's definitely the tonic by the end, but it's in F for most of this excerpt. There's a clear tonic F chord when the baritone starts holding the high C, and if it ended there it would clearly be in F major. But it continues as the held note is moved to the bass, and that becomes the new root after a few measures, so I didn't feel it necessary to change the key for like 4 measures at the end
That wasn't C major...
the key signature wasn't, but the last chord was
@@jasonfieler ahhh ok
