- Опубліковано 5 січ 2024
- In early 2022, Craftsman released their Brushless RP 20V lineup, focusing on delivering improved runtime and performance. At first glance, the latest 7 1/4-inch Craftsman Circular Saw has the makings of a truly competitive option in today’s tool market. With that in mind, we want to dive a little deeper so you can decide if the CMCS551 is the best option for your upcoming projects.

I own this saw and it's a total beast. More powerful than even DeWalt
Since it's made by DeWalt I'm sure it's very similar to their 20 volt Atomic circ saw.
I don't think I'd pay $129 for it, but if you get it as part of a BOGO with some batteries and a charger, then it's not too bad if you're already in the Craftsman battery line.
Since I already own a Milwaukee Fuel, a Makita rear handle, a DeWalt Flex Volt Advantage saw and a 24 Volt Flex circ saw, there's no reason why I'd get one, but it's still good to see that Craftsman isn't dead yet!
Thanks. Clear and concise.
Great review!! Definitely going to have to upgrade from that brushed 6 1/2 for my handyman business.
Does any one have an ideea how this Craftsman saw would compare to a Skil XP brushless SAW (like the CR5440B)? I'm on the fence about which brand/battery system to choose for my DIY week-end warrior home use. One thing that seems to tip the balance in favor of Craftsman is the availability of bigger batteries (6Ah, 9Ah) while Skil's biggest battery seems to be 5Ah.
Another question though, because I only had corded tools until now: how well can one get by with two 4Ah or 5Ah for a circ saw? Ho about an angle grinder (also the brushless kind)?
Man I hope your eye is going to be okay...
I had the same. She burned
