Great anniversary.! Good lord willing, and the creeks don't rise we will all meet back here in 5 years. Thanks for all you and John do for the 2A community.
In 1974 I brought a 1865 50-70 trap door rifle that has been in my family for 4 generations to school for 4th grade show and tell. Nobody freaked out the principal checked to make sure it was unloaded and I was the coolest kid in the class for the day.
"Where ever you may travel, Where ever you may go, Keep your eye on the doughnut...., Not the hole." This little saying turned out to be a good attitude for me. Look for the positive. Have a Merry Christmas! M.R.
Been watching since SSA#1. We have definitely been through a lot of interesting things the past five years. Thank you Hickok for your compassion for your fellow man.
Love that 357! I don't have a Model 27, but I am fortunate to have acquired a 4" Model 28, pinned & recessed "Highway Patrol" & a Model 520 pinned & recessed. Great N frame shooters. Watching you enjoy that 27 makes me want to get my N frames back out to the range as soon as possible! Thank you for all your videos & Merry Christmas!
You don’t have to be right about everything for us to appreciate you. First, you offer info humbly. And the info you offer is life-earned. You are always clear when you are offering an opinion and it never seems judgmental or hateful. I hope a lot of young people are finding you. Our future generations still need wisdom of the years. Whether any of us think so or not. Of course, this is all just my opinion. Appreciate you being here for us. I am a disabled vet that doesn’t like to get out…since watching the channel and the good chiding from my great wife and some solid chums, I’m getting back out and hitting the range. I’m a lil Fudd with my 1911 and wood furniture but it’s GREAT!!🙏🙏👏🏽👏🏽🤣🤣🤓Thank you and your boy John!! Hope your family has a great Christmas holiday!🙏🎄🎄🎉🎉🍻🍻🎁🎁🙏🙏

My wife's school has 2 police officers and security guys. They are the 1st and only middle school to go with mandatory clear book bags. It's turned out very well. The parents were the ones to complain about the clear book bags. It's unbelievable but true. The principle went against the school board with his decision, but he didn't budge. This year has gone beautifully. South Florida school.
Yeah, it's tough for parents and many educators to admit that there are just going to be some kids with serious psychological problems that they cannot easily fix. The chances of a school shooting are statistically very low; it's just that it can be so horrible if it does happen that we HAVE to take precautions. j"Gun-free" zones can be the most dangerous place to be.
The reason people complained is because they have a right to disagree. Conservatives are starting to act like Liberals more and more. "TAKE MY FREEDOM IN EXCHANGE FOR MY SAFETY!" This kind of stuff wouldn't happen as much if morals were taught, but nobody is interested in that anymore. Well, you're paying the price for it.
Wished you could bring out all your S&W revolvers and compare the frame sizes corresponding with the letters. I’m always interested in learning the model numbers and frame sizes. Thanks for the Sunday Shoot Arounds. Always enjoy the show!
Congrats on 5 years of Sunday shoot-arounds! Where does the time go? Glad to see you've still got some nice weather in Tennessee. It's about 3° this morning up here in New Hampshire. Keep up the great work Hickok 👍.
greeting y'all from cold, snowy, grey, drab, dangerous SE-WI near "KIL-Waukee" Thank You Mr Hickok for make my Sunday mornings something to look forward too ,,,,, Y'ALL stay Safe & Well ,,,, GOD BLESS AMERICA and wishing you & yours a "Merry & Blessed Christmas"
I wake up every Sunday before church with family and throw this on while getting ready. It's not yacking, it's just just life experience coming out. Day I grow tired of Sundays, put me out on that range and put me out to pasture 🫡💯💯
Magpul and Ruger could run with the RXM if they wanted to. It could be the basis for a variety of Glock g3 firearms. Imagine new form factors and styles, PCCs, PDWs in all sizes and color options. All modular based off the common trigger group. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.
They still make those things? I thought eBay killed the allegiance to Blue Books. I know you can't buy a gun on eBay, but the concept is the same: Nothing is worth more than what anyone is willing to pay. I remember a guy trying to sell a Ford Ranchero decades ago. Someone offered him $3k. He said the book value was $6k. Well, the "book" never showed up, and that Ranchero rotted into the lawn after 35 years.
I found your channel when I was looking to buy a 44 mag handgun and I was going between a Redhawk or a Model 29. I googled that choice and a video by you came up with you pretending you just got these two "new" firearms. I enjoyed the video so I subscribed and the first video I watched as a newly posted video by you was Sunday Shoot-a-Round #1. I have been here ever since. By the way, I ended up buying both 44 mags and I still have them.
Thank you for another great video from the home state of Davy Crockett and the information on those two life-enhancing tools. Keep them coming. Merry Christmas! 😎
I have Rugar BlackHawk 375 mag. And I love that thing. It is a lot of fun. That’s what I thought it was from the thumbnail. Merry Christmas and god bless ya timer! Keep em coming ✌🏻
Ha! That's how I came here... your shorts. One was posted recently but it was from 8 years ago. I commented on it. Felt like a dope, found my way here.
You people get up early to comment. For those wanting more, look up Lew Horton model 29-3, smooth cylinder, 6" inch barrel, with full under lug. Now, imagine an original set of Goncalo Alves grips. Its a keeper.
I was around guns my entire life and a mass shooting never once entered my mind. I was bullied mercilessly for a lot of my elementary and Junior high life and never thought of a gun as a revenge tool. How that has happened in "recent" years, is beyond my understanding. Kids now are just wired differently than we were. It's probably because of political correctness and its detrimental effects on society. Can't spank our kids.... kids tell their parents what they're going to do.. Everything has flip-flopped into bzzaro world. God help us.
The reasons are varied and numerous, no doubt. In a nutshell, it has to make a difference that my friends and I were outside on our bicycles all day long, climbing trees, building forts, playing pick-up games of baseball and basketball. Most kids today are on screens 90 % of the day being FED their entertainment. That has to make a difference, along with constant ingestion of junk food and prescribed drugs. At the time and for several decades, I never thought about my childhood being anything special at all. Now we older people are realizing by contrast exactly how great out childhoods were.
@@hickok45 Our childhoods were fun, healthy and happy. The only junk food we ever got was the neighborhood ice cream truck that you rode your bike or walked too! If you got sick had to stay inside to get better, while you laid on the couch watching TV, all you could think about was getting back outside with your friends!
When I was growing up in the '70s hearing about shootings was so rare. We went to church learned the golden rule. "Treat others as you want to be treated." Learned the ten commandments which included "Thou shalt not kill", "Thou shalt not steal" etc. Had our moral compass set. If we misbehaved we got a whoop'n. Pretty simple really.

Yep, when I moved into a smaller place, I sold my .44 mag, 22 mag and 22 lr. But I will never give up my .357…"and .45ACP. But I never shot paper except to practice shot placement. But hitting metal for the clang is so nice and blowing milk jugs of water to shreds is great fun, too.
Awesome Hick, I just mentioned the rxm in the comment section on the day I think it debuted. That was a quick turnaround. I'm sure you already knew it was coming out and I wasn't the only one mentioning it. I'm a Glock guy but Ruger really keeps it going. And I wonder how the trigger compares
