"??? round burst" is a fixed number of shots (??? usually=3) per trigger pull. For the Rhino (and any revolver) cocking the trigger prior to every shot is referred to as "single action", while pulling the trigger directly and causing the cylinder to rotate and the shot to fire is "double action". Some revolvers (like old-style western revolvers) are single action. Most double action revolvers may be fired single action (shorter, crisper trigger pull) or double action (longer, heavier trigger pull).

On 9×19 front shars mate is honestly amazing, spend some k and it tears through guys even more if ur getting head shots, mine currently dose more dmg the 74U and S respectively
you can actually get a spas 14 fully repaired around the time you are headed into wild islands if you take a detour up into cement factory, in the concrete forest locked room, there is also a unique fora there through a short side quest that you can cheese with a few grenades and a fully repaired integra-a in the reloading point right next to it in a stash, they are all very close to each other. and i mean the m860 you get a version with a mag in the garbage questline (i sided with stalkers idk if you get it if you are with the ward) so you can actually find these very early on.
yeah, found SPSA before the M380 and using it. It's funny this video mentions a lot of guns I've yet to see, yet I have plenty of those mentioned "later in the game" since second (went with colonel path) or third (northern gate) zone. Found VS and SPSA from random guys. Found ERM in some stash. Never heard of GP37, Saiga,
You're not really covering that some guns are in 2 categories because of calibre chages in their upgrade tree like the Fora being able to be chambered in 5.56 after an upgrade or the viper being able to be chambered in .45
It's so funny, I am starting a ng and using new guns but on my first play through I used an upgraded standard viper all through lesser zone and garbage to really nice effect. It's a laser beam upgraded and if you're a headshot monkey it puts in work on single shot.
Been using a VS Vintar and the Sahrs Mate smg or whatever it’s called. Been giving a blast with the game. And even more so after the new patch! Might have to give the Buket a go around and swap skifs pistol with the UDP or whatever it’s called.
If you can even get the optic attached. Xbox version seems to have a glitch where lots of us don’t have the option to attach it. In my case, I can’t buy the slide from the upgrade list. Not even after upgrading every part of the Viper. I’ve tried it all and others are chalking it up to a glitch.
@anthonynegron5145 It's not a glitch. You have to make sure the attachment is compatible with the weapon and also but the upgrade from a technician so that the weapon will have a rail to mount the optic on. If you don't have a rail than you obviously can't attach the optic.
There is an error, with the Viper 5, you can convert it to a different caliber by the technician, and it is permanent because the barrel is gonna be changed, in the description it says changes caliber to 5.45 and i thought hell yeah a MP5 in 5.45 mm but in reality it's converted to .45 ACP, and 5,45 by 39 mm and .45 ACP (11,43 x 23mm) is a huge difference ! One is a Intermidate Cartridge for Assault Rifles the other a subsonic Pistol Cartridge
I find Skifs Pistol to be overall the best Sidearm Weapon you can get. It has very decent stats and weighs at 0.05kg basically nothing compared to other Weapons. Other then that the combination of a Saiga and a Dnipro seems to be the best. The Saiga is already far superior to other shotguns in its standard form while the Dnipro can be enhanced to be far superior to other assault rifles. Also the Dnipro uses one of the most commonly found amunitions which is whhy you most likely wont run out on ammo. Also you can use AKM weapon upgrades on the Dnipro which are found early on.
Yeah I ended up using the dnipro and the saiga combo, especially the dnipro's attachments and like you said using 5.45 it solid, no matter the playthrough, I'll be heading straight to buy or pick up these weapons in the world before doing anything
One of my favorite weapons is the clusterfuk rifle being an AR416 modified into a dmr, still use the 5.56 ammo and got decent ammo and penetration, but good lord using the scope is unnecessarily difficult due to it getting covered by gas every shot
I used it until I realised it would wear so quickly. It's like 1% per shot. It's just sitting in my stash to look at occasionally since ive moved on to the vintar which does basically the same thing without the visibility issues, a bit more drop that's almost completely managed just by getting the 15% flatness upgrade, and in my opinion, a cool aesthetic.
I can't wait for part 2, I had a bug where the game didn't recognise any blueprints I picked up, so I used a mod to spawn them in (which worked) and I figured I may as well spawn in the named variants of all the guns so I am very curious for your next videos.
Im pretty sure you can get the normal version of the Lynx sniper at the northern checkpoint in the lesser zone, I went into a booby trapped building and some guy on a catwalk started shouting at me. He had a broken one on him
I haven't seen a Saiga yet, but I have seen the Spas 12, and I also have seen the M700 sniper rifle, before I got the Lynx (but I had already gotten a couple of SVDs before that). I have played like 40 hours and I still haven't seen the Fore 228 yet.

Pretty much all except shottys, the machine gun, the revolver and a named udp with built in compensator that won't accept silencers, I have seen suppressors for snipers just haven't actually found it in my game
10:30 - i would love to use UDP instead of skifs starter pistol ... BUT ! ... for that i would have to be able to get rid of skifs pistol ... aallll praise quest items ! 😩😩
As someone playing on console, not having aim assist on snipers like vss or lynx locks me out of using them which is a bummer. Also want to mention your point on shotguns, using saiga early on will drain your coupons in terms of repair. The pump action with 10rnd mag is more than you need and is found early through main quests, but if you insist on semi shotgun, theres a couple of places where you can find a 100% SPAS
I've been rocking the drowned rifle u get from the Slag heap as it come with a grenade launcher and I found a suppressor and scope for it not too long after getting it, replacing my VSS. Another comment made u good point about the mac10 being able to be put into the sidearm slot. Might just utilize scoped and silenced AK74S as my stealth rifle for higher capacity, Spas-12 I just found cause i never found a Saiga yet somehow, and now a mac10 to use against bloodsuckers after expending all my slugs lmao
I haven't played the game yet, but advising against caliber sharing sounds really odd to me. In previous games, I always went for caliber sharing when possible. In SoC's Garbage you could get the Viper 9x18, which used the most abundant early game pistol ammo. Later, you could get the 9x39 Big Ben, which used the same ammo as the Tunder, VLA/Avalanche and Vintar, making it possible to use just one ammo (although 9x39 don't become sufficiently common until very late game).
The Viper is great early-mid game. Ammo is plentiful. It'll kill anything as long as you're hitting headshots. The range and accuracy are fine and you can boost penetration. The weight is a bit less than anything comparable at the time. You can mod it to fire .45. You can find a 40 round mag. It'll take a holo sight. Set it to single fire for headshots on humans and auto for mutants other than dogs and rats and you'll go far with it. I've gone through everything with it so far and that includes wandering through much of the northern sections as soon as it was open. I have two of them both fully modded, but the unique one modded to .45. They're both still useful.
The unique variant, shahs rifle or whatever is great and I used it until I got the vector some 30 hours later. Its actually quite effective when upgraded all the way.
12 inch shotguns? Wow...must be battleship caliber. What you do mean, I believe, is 12.7mm aka .50 cal which the 12 gauge is more or less the same thing.
Since Spray n pray is clearly no option in the game, your accuracy is significant. Better go for an accurate gun, probably less damage, but keep in mind that switch ammo type, Single fire and headshots if against humans is important. Up against mutants stick with shotguns imoo😂way better choice
It works if you get the drop on ennemies and are nearly point blank. Perfect if you're picking up guns from fallen enemies as you go and have a stack of ammo to burn through. Get a laser sight or just leave the crosshair on and you'll be shredding early enemies easily.
im using a spas shotgun and ive only just started the noon quests after garbage .... i dont know where i found mine but ive had it for a while ... i may have found it in cordon possibly when i went there for a sight seeing tour before i went though the northern check point after completing the lesser zone quests its an always carry for me as i tend to run with an extra gun in my inventory
I found the VS about 10 hours in. Almost immediately on an enemy after going through the north gate for the first time. I have yet to have an enemy drop a usable SVD 20 hours in. I had to buy one from a trader.
Yeah, found SVD pretty early in the first zone. I think it's in the factory near the north gate. There was a sniper in the a heavily trapped building. Didn't look like an RNG.
I liked u better on my eldin ring journey u was such a great content creator I believe u r still but these videos don't go to my heart like ur eldin ring videos hope u get more and more ppl
Real question is: can you increase stats above what the game shows? Like if you have 5 recoil why does the game even include more recoil upgrades? Do you get more recoil or no.
upgrades improve weapon stats beyond base values. some upgrades increase range or accuracy on the stat screen but they do different things, recoil compensation makes the gun handle better by staying on target after shooting (really good for full auto in short range vs mutants) but doesn't actually increase range or accuracy over longer distance. meanwhile bullet drop off actually increases the range you can reliable shoot a target for full dmg. the game lets you customize your weapons for specific tasks, a sniper like weapon doesn't really need recoil since you can generally drop an enemy in 1 headshot from long range before they can fight back, same weapon is rather bad in close quarters when it might be difficult to get a headshot and you don't want to waste rare sniper ammo on body shots, hence why you need something else with better recoil management to fill enemies with bullets (or you can make a hybrid gun to carry fewer weapons). raw dmg isn't the main factor to look at but also penetration since enemies have armor levels (bloodsuckers have 3 which is why they are so tanky in the beginning of the game when you have weapons with just 1 penetration). you need to move on to better penetration weapons even if they do less dmg than starting weapons because it saves ammo in the long run
Dnipro is the best ive used so far, when i do a hardcore playthrough im gonna beeline it for a high durability dnipro and head to yaniv for the suppressor or buy bit all at yaniv. Then back to wherever im continuing the story
I have over 1000 rounds of every automatic weapon caliber, plus hundreds of rounds of every other caliber. Ammo is not scarce. If it is, you're doing something wrong. I’m so glad I found your Content because I was wondering what weapons were better than others now I don’t have to decide I can just watch your video and get the best of the best of each ammo type. You are amazing and is doing God’s work. You just got yourself a new subscriber.
On 9×19 front shars mate is honestly amazing, spend some k and it tears through guys even more if ur getting head shots, mine currently dose more dmg the 74U and S respectively
I use the gp37 and modded it with a mid to short range scope. Very solid weapon.
Ak-74u also has the ability to upgrade durability which gives it a huge advantage over the 74s.
Thanks for the guide, I was looking an analysis like this to invest well my time into a gun that would last (y)!
Upgraded and with a reddot I like the Viper-5 early on, as the Ammo is abundant.
you can actually get a spas 14 fully repaired around the time you are headed into wild islands if you take a detour up into cement factory, in the concrete forest locked room, there is also a unique fora there through a short side quest that you can cheese with a few grenades and a fully repaired integra-a in the reloading point right next to it in a stash, they are all very close to each other. and i mean the m860 you get a version with a mag in the garbage questline (i sided with stalkers idk if you get it if you are with the ward) so you can actually find these very early on.
You get the magazine fed one if you team up with ward
@@confusedcapitalist2242i didnt team up with ward and i have a mag fed one
@@Reaverporg i know, i meant you do get it. Sorry
yeah, found SPSA before the M380 and using it. It's funny this video mentions a lot of guns I've yet to see, yet I have plenty of those mentioned "later in the game" since second (went with colonel path) or third (northern gate) zone.
Found VS and SPSA from random guys. Found ERM in some stash.
Never heard of GP37, Saiga,
I found a EBR really early in garbage. Should I dump most of my coupons on it for a long term gun?
You're not really covering that some guns are in 2 categories because of calibre chages in their upgrade tree like the Fora being able to be chambered in 5.56 after an upgrade or the viper being able to be chambered in .45
My mid to late game setup is revolver, m14 rifle (forget the name in game) and a spas shot gun
The M860 has blue prints to make it magazine loaded, which makes it a perfect shotgun
Anyone else using the 9mm UDP? Feels like a Glock 19 I love it 🤣
It looks quit nice when fully kitted out with the supressor and laser sight.
Buket all the way, ammo is cheap and light, melts bloodsuckers and now that i acquired 30 round mag it is soo good and repairs decent price
The viper-5 chambered in .45 puts in some work early game
Viper 5 works fine once you get an optic for it.
I agree, also if you change the caliber to .45, it becomes much better
I prefer the irons the outer ring on the holo sight reticle obscures targets too much for my taste should have been a larger ring.
If you can even get the optic attached. Xbox version seems to have a glitch where lots of us don’t have the option to attach it. In my case, I can’t buy the slide from the upgrade list. Not even after upgrading every part of the Viper. I’ve tried it all and others are chalking it up to a glitch.
@@anthonynegron5145press up on your D pad to put attachments on your weapons
Been playing on Stalker difficulty and the viper's been reliable so far, I'm up to the swamps.
He had a broken one on him
Yeah but the lynx is better and you get it for free and it's mandatory
I haven't seen a Saiga yet, but I have seen the Spas 12, and I also have seen the M700 sniper rifle, before I got the Lynx (but I had already gotten a couple of SVDs before that). I have played like 40 hours and I still haven't seen the Fore 228 yet.
Same here.
I found an emr in the first zone but i dont remember where didnt realise it was an end game gun probably explains why i cant find any ammo for it
man these types of games aren’t for me BUTi love the chernobyl type games that have come out in the past. so I HAD to get this game and let me say i’m absolutely obsessed w everything about it. especially the graphics. man if you have a good pic and a good monitor then this game looks KILLER
I was hoping you would talk about the 5.56 conversion for the Fora-221
can you get a silencer for all weapons or only certain ones?
Pretty much all except shottys, the machine gun, the revolver and a named udp with built in compensator that won't accept silencers, I have seen suppressors for snipers just haven't actually found it in my game
It's important to underline that The Buket S2 does not fit in the small arm slot, making it inefficient.
10:30 - i would love to use UDP instead of skifs starter pistol ... BUT ! ... for that i would have to be able to get rid of skifs pistol ... aallll praise quest items ! 😩😩
You can also upgrade the viper to shoot .45
I love how you say ammo is limited and scarce but you leave your guns on full auto when applicable
PP-19 is king... Later game, but damn it's so good.
I have a mag fed M860.
Toz is the best true early game though the m860 takes over once you leave the starting area
They're both still useful.
if you pre ordered save that ammo til you get the rieman. Thing absolutely shreds.
The 9x19mm FMJ is too heavy though. And SMG eats ammo like breakfas
The unique variant, shahs rifle or whatever is great and I used it until I got the vector some 30 hours later. Its actually quite effective when upgraded all the way.
AKM is 7.62... AKM-*74* is 5.45... Learn. It's like calling a magazine a clip..
Am I the only one who found the SPSA really early on in the Cordon area bandit camp?
What about the spas since it’s in directly across from rookie village somewhere you can go in 39 minutes off the start of the game
Yeah I'm not seeing a lot of armor yet, but it will matter soon enough. I'm currently using all HP until I'm dry.
What is the best assault rifle in the game?
I got the SVDM sniper riffle long before the lynx
Idk, you have to carry Skifs pistol no matter what so I don’t see the need to carry another pistol, personally.
12 inch shotguns? Wow...must be battleship caliber. What you do mean, I believe, is 12.7mm aka .50 cal which the 12 gauge is more or less the same thing.
AKM74U has a way better upgrade path and is the 3rd cheapest repair in game and can mount a red dot.
I have to disagree with M10 - fully upgraded is perfect in CQB to clear inside of buldings.
HOW DID HE PUT ON THE OPTICS? HOW DID HE REMOVE THEM?
What is this deep magic!? How did you put on the optics at @0:45?
If you look in your keybindings there's a key you can bind to this. Default is T I think
Bring us part 2 pleaseeeee
There is a magazine mod for the m860 shotgun. runs great
im using a spas shotgun and ive only just started the noon quests after garbage .... i dont know where i found mine but ive had it for a while ... i may have found it in cordon possibly when i went there for a sight seeing tour before i went though the northern check point after completing the lesser zone quests its an always carry for me as i tend to run with an extra gun in my inventory
Arguably best shotgun in the game imo, there's another variant with a built in scope you can get from completing arena too.
Escape from Tarkov: Hold my beer
how does the kharod with the 5.45 conversion stand up to the 221?
iiiiiitssss buwkaaaay deeeaaarrr!!!! Please tell me you get this reference lmfao
I went with the 74U instead of 74S because the red dot I bought didn't seem to fit on the S
I found the VS about 10 hours in. Almost immediately on an enemy after going through the north gate for the first time. I have yet to have an enemy drop a usable SVD 20 hours in. I had to buy one from a trader.
Can fund an svd in starting zone. Think ammo is the issue though
Do you get more recoil or no.
upgrades improve weapon stats beyond base values. some upgrades increase range or accuracy on the stat screen but they do different things, recoil compensation makes the gun handle better by staying on target after shooting (really good for full auto in short range vs mutants) but doesn't actually increase range or accuracy over longer distance. meanwhile bullet drop off actually increases the range you can reliable shoot a target for full dmg. the game lets you customize your weapons for specific tasks, a sniper like weapon doesn't really need recoil since you can generally drop an enemy in 1 headshot from long range before they can fight back, same weapon is rather bad in close quarters when it might be difficult to get a headshot and you don't want to waste rare sniper ammo on body shots, hence why you need something else with better recoil management to fill enemies with bullets (or you can make a hybrid gun to carry fewer weapons). raw dmg isn't the main factor to look at but also penetration since enemies have armor levels (bloodsuckers have 3 which is why they are so tanky in the beginning of the game when you have weapons with just 1 penetration). you need to move on to better penetration weapons even if they do less dmg than starting weapons because it saves ammo in the long run
there is a trader in that house.. and you just killed everyone xD
Integral is good
Still looking for the saiga
As an AS Val lover, where the hell do you even get 9x39 ammo???
bro this video is so chatgpt made that im gonna ask chatgpt myself it will summerise it to 1 min :D
I got an Integral-A in the second area. It’s not late game
Dnipro is the best ive used so far, when i do a hardcore playthrough im gonna beeline it for a high durability dnipro and head to yaniv for the suppressor or buy bit all at yaniv. Then back to wherever im continuing the story
How to get the best scanner?
I’ll wait a bit until it’s been fixed and updated.
Cool.
What about Spas shotgun?
Yiu can get s blueprint to make the pump shotguns a box mag
How are you putting in attachments in game like that
I found an M860 with a 10-round mag. 🤷♂
Me too, it's been carrying me the whole game
I’m playing on normal and have close to 4000 AK rounds. I don’t get how people say ammo is scarce unless hard has like 0 drops
I've only played on the hardest difficulty, so I'm not sure. But, it depends on the ammo type.
video should be title early game
I have over 1000 rounds of every automatic weapon caliber, plus hundreds of rounds of every other caliber. Ammo is not scarce. If it is, you're doing something wrong. I'm pretty sure I bought 5.45 once early game. Aside from that, I've always had plenty of ammo. This game feels like it has far more resources than other stalker games.
viper-5 and bucket s-2 which is better
def bucket s-2, it's better then most AR rifles
s-2, you want the extra penetration
