You're missing a super important angle: attachments and caliber conversions. The Kharod is MUCH better in 5.45. So it competes directly with the Dnipro. The Kharod is probably stronger due to higher RoF (even though the stats don't show it properly) and MUCH better controllability. The Saiga can get up to a 20 round drum mag, or a 12 round hi-cap. The Ram-2 is stuck on 14.
I disagree with this. At least on paper, when both are fully upgraded the Dnipro has slightly higher damage, but is a tiny bit lower in range and penetration. The fact that you can get a 45 bullet mag for the Dnipro, but not the Kharod, cements it as a stronger weapon for me.
Couple questions there. Can the Saiga drum mag actually be found out in the world or is it normally only on the X7 Lab one? Does the Kharod conversion actually improve its damage? That isn't listed in the stats at all.
@@Johntheghost24There is a highcap Kharod mag, but I'm not entirely sure what its max cap is. Dnipro does have a paired mag somewhere though. The Kharod does win out in terms of attachments, since it can have an underbarrel.
The Ram is crazy fun till it runs out of ammo, the painfully slow reload experience kills it from there, it makes me wanna go back to my trusty Cracker with a mag or Saiga. Saiga with drum mag is prolly the goat.
I feel that alot of ppl are ignoring the unique weapon, clusterfuck. It is a modified marksman rifle version of the ar416 and it even beats the dnipro and the kharod in base forms and fully upgraded as well on every single stat. Plus u can get it mid game and carry it all the way to the end game. Since it usues 5.56x45 it is quite accessible as well. The only 2 problems with it is that its only semi auto and a 4x scope which cant be switched out.
You missed the fact that the Vintar is capable of fully automatic fire, and with good trigger control and without even having to switch fire modes, can snipe as a semi-automatic sniper, thus it can function as two different weapons (both an assault rifle and a sniper) for a 3 kg. weight cost. My Gauss rifle is currently sitting in my locker as I take the Vintar out on all missions. It's also ridiculously easy to get headshots with if you equip the +75% "hold breath" mod. As far as staying hidden with a suppressed weapon, well, you do have your flashlight on, so it's really not that hard to figure out your location. Try turning it off. It makes a hell of a difference.
I have to agree, Dom seems to sometimes ignore some stats and ignore all upgrade trees. The Vintar has the best damage and penetration of the 9x39 rifles, meaning better ammo efficiency. Just switched to it from Valik´s Ak and the lethality is much better, only drawback is the ammo ist less common on enemys. The terminal ballistics or shots to kill is very important in all Stalker Games and mods, combined with the rate of fire and weight as well. When you figure out how to beat the economy it´s easy to buy the ammo need. Well put kizmo237

Vintar is amazing when you get the extended mag and use it to pop heads from mid-long range without being seen. If you miss you have 20 followup shots. I think it will really shine once ALife comes online and they give stealth another pass.
I ran Valik's AK for a looong time and switched to Kharod for the last third or so of the story. If you're an obsessed looter like me, that means you can make it through the game without having to buy any ammo for your assault rifles, even armor piercing if you don't pray and spray a lot. 5.45 and 5.56 are (still) very popular in the Zone and the Kharod can use both, has a lot of attachment and upgrade options too, it's just the all in wonder weapon of the game imho. An upgraded 5.56 Kharod with armor piercing ammo can 2 tap exo guys in the head, I barely used auto fire mode, only against some mutants with regular ammo. A shotgun secondary is always good to have, I had the Cracker with AR style magazine for the major part of the game and felt just right. Switched to Ram for the endgame, it's a monster till you need to reload, but the slow reload gets you hurt more/killed in longer fights. I didn't know that the Saiga can have a drum mag till the endgame, it's prolly the best choice overall. The pistol slot's winner is Skif's pistol with upgrades, especially if you don't use it a lot and don't wanna spend precious space for one. A loaded pistol with decend damage, mag size, ultra light build combined with 100 9x18 spare ammo under 1kg is hard to beat. Switched to Rhino when I went for alternative endings and fell in love with it, even it's regular ammo can 1 tap monolith exo guys in the head and armor piercing can 2 tap exo bodies going full yolo. Regular ammo is easy enough to find, might wanna go for headshots to save more precious armor piercing. Every other pistol can be fun too and not a financial nightmare to run. SMGs are prolly more viable fun on the lowest casual diff because enemies go down easier, suddenly ammo economy is less of a boogeyman. I don't see why should I run them vs. ARs other than having tons of pray and spray fun. Snipers are another flavour fun option in my opinion, most of the time the game throws short or barely mid range enemies at us, truly sniping worthy situations are very rare and overall the ballistics are way too tuned for short range fun, serious bullet drops happen at ridiculously short ranges. I have my gfx settings set to epic and when I wanted to get the "Lone shooter" Steam achi for a 75m headshot I noticed that I can barely see enemies at 85 range with most scopes and they simply disappear around 90m lol. I'd love to have some stealth sniper action with a Vintar/Lavina but the exaggerated early drop off just kills the fun...just like in previous games as I remember. Constantly getting body shots aiming at heads at ridiculously low distances by sniping standard just makes me forget the sniper fantasy and go back to my assault rifles and get closer and personal... Flat ammo can make them more viable, but those are rare and spending extra just to have a somewhat fun sniper exerience is sigh game design...
The reddit data dump shows that valiks ak has like half the durability of regular ak74s. Its genuinely a terrible weapon besides its scope. Its easy to headshot with. But terrible efficiency. I wonder if this guy is looking at the datamine to actually ser which weapons are better.

Please do a tier list of optimal armor and artifacts to run for different stages of the game as well pls. Your lists are really helpful when it comes to saving coupons and knowing what to upgrade.
-The "Partner" Mark 1 rifle with an extended mag is the best in the 308 category, the real issue with 308 is getting the ammo itself. Same issue with the machine guns in 7.62x39, the "Beast" machinegun in 5.45 could be a good choice but we don't get it until the very end of the game so not much point recommending it. -Kharod converted to 5.45 is quite good, possibly better than Dnipro depending on your preferences since it can have an underbarrel. -Saiga D12 with the drum mag is tops for shotguns. -Lots of people sleep on the APSB but it's a beast of a pistol and still uses the cheap and easy 9x18 ammo.
what about the M701 super with the shotgun underbarrel? it has a magazine so it reloads quick, so you're covered in close and medium/high range. its essentially a 2-in-1 weapon.
About shotguns, in my opinion, this is where good development shines: The Saiga, while objectively the best shotgun, makes using the others feel good and fun, even if their statistics are not as good. Getting "sniper" shots with the TOZ is so satisfying. Great video man thanks for the part 2
I have to say, that the integral is a damn good weapon! Important is:" Use the tribble shot fire Mode"! Give a headshot with it and even armored targets are down, because the fire rate is so high, all 3 shots hit 100% guaranteed! Can be used right a killer!
Not to mention it doesn't suffer from randomized bullet spray when hip firing or moving. I don't even need to ads most of the time. It can also convert to .45 which drops alot.
Personally, I run through the game looting EVERYTHING. Never have an ammo issue because I keep multiples of every firearm for every ammo type. Whatever ammo I have the most of, that's what I run till I run low on it.
I horded so much ammo due to using the clusterfk, only headshot after headshot, even if repair costs are high you barely need to use it in fights ... the AP ammo gives you one shot kill.
A lot of this guns can be obtained early. Already in garbage enemies can drop VS Vintar, and you will find one in the swamp. The AS Lavina could also be get early if you want to fight a Control mutant. Grom S-14 can also be obtained if you continue to explore the Chemical Plant area. Why are we forgetting about the SPSA-14? Can be obtained early, but not upgraded until you reach mid point, or at least the Rostok technician.
I feel like these "best" weapons guides dont go enough into detail. There are other factors that play a big role. For example weight, ammo availability, ammo cost, repair cost and synergy. For example...why do i need a Rhino if i already have a Ram or Saiga? Why use any SMG if ARs are really easy and early to get?
Listened to both of these and, yeah he's treating it like a pure numbers game without considering how these things actually perform when you use them. "viper-5 is useless" doesn't hold up when you can put it on burst and headshot people left and right. Plus it's pretty damn light.
Saiga, just being mag fed already made it win. You can get an extended mag n have 12+1 n be fore efficient killing machine. If lucky, you can find the drum mag, I haven’t yet
The rams damage is actually higher per shot it just doesn't show as both say max damage, just like the gauss gun says max damage but each shot is still much higher than the shotguns themselves.
The Ratkiller aka unique Zubr-19 is also very good because you use cheaper and more easy to by ammo. The same ammo to your starting PM. I used it with penetrating bullets and lets just say 6 mercs with combat armor were very quick to die.

The stats do not add up and are likely either just straight up wrong or have some type of "per class" logic. As an example, several in the AR family will get a bit over "3" in damage. This is the same or very close to the same "damage rating" as the mark 1 upgraded, which he talks about in the video. The thing is, the mark one kills mutants in far less shots. I counted 2 to a flesh vs 5 from AR. The same can be said for tons of others also. This was all using "regular" ammo. So... either the bullets also have damage that just isn't stated in the game, or their numbers are wrong. The mark 1 is still bad for the record anyway but the whole "some smgs outdamage it" I don't think is reality, it's what the numbers say but it's wrong.
At 5:37 you show mismatched pairs of weapon names and stats, you swapped them. I also think you should be comparing Dnipro to Grom S-15, since it's better than Fora-221
underrated 5.56: the special pre suppressed m4 tht u find in that one biulding, decent dps, very fun and up to a 60 round mag with ammo that isnt too hard to find, may not be the best but its my favourite
I'm so glad they reworked the repair mechanic. I'm running one fully modded AKS74U for the whole game. Maybe upgrading to the Spitfire onee I get it. Nothing beats the rule of cool.
I like the Kharod as Assault Rifle, and I travel with a Saiga using AP and a Ram2 using Expansive, so Saiga for AP midrange combat and Ram2 for close combat, the Kharod with silencer for opening the battle with a few kills before engaging with shotguns
you forgot to talk about the spas or the spsa14 shotgun , its basicly just a better semi auto version of the m860 but since the reload takes forever the saiga still out classes it (Also there is one benefit that the Gordon has and that is that is can be equipped to your pistol slot and having a 40 round smg as a back up isnt to shabby)
So the Super can actually take the underbarrel shotgun attachment from Malachite's shop. That fixes it at close range. Also, the damage is still phenomenal and good for turning Burer and Controller heads into a fine paste.
Stealth is nonexistent in this game. Even when ya stealth kill and npc in a separate room or far away from the group, the enemy npc will instantly lock on to your position. Plus they can see you through plants and have amazing accuracy.
I have the integral in Garbage and its a joy to run around, single shot or burst and enemies drops. Cheap ammo and it is precise with it. Cant complain and will use it for a while, I can feel. Will have to see when I get a zubr. Or when I will find a good AR that can get some mods.
There's one more extremely fast and powerful semi-auto shotgun SPSA-14, and also there's Holemaker-L -- an underbarrel attachment shotgun for assault rifles like Kharod.
I have been using TROPHY as my primary with a Rhino as my pistol, both use 9x39. The trophy (special ak/as val type) has high fire rate and dps but you can also single fire it, also it’s silenced which is great. The rhino pistol is an absolute monster revolver that can 1 tap enemies, it’s like a cannon. Then you can run a shotty or sniper/Dmr as your 2nd primary…pretty cool load out 🫡
Thanks, you helped me pick my goal setup - currently running a Integral-A with Silencer, Enhanced Mag and Scope shreds pretty good + M860 Cracker with a Mag (the one you find on the crate) plus Stiffs Pistol with a Silencer fully upgraded (honestly overperforming! - i made entire fights on highest dif with that thing) BUT my endgame build will be Pistol: Rhino Assault Rifle: Kharod Shotgun: SAIGA if I like it more than my M860 I'm currently not seeing endgame without a shotgun so not really sure what I would swap in instead
A stat you can't see is damage fall-off. The rhino has a big damage fall-off. If you do the Arena and let the champ pick your your weapon, he gives you a rhino. Using that at range is fail as you can empty the thing in his head but if you dodge & run in close, it will 2-3 shot him and that's only half way across the arena. So if you need any range for a pistol, the rhino is a tough choice.
The RAM is seriously under the SAIGA (even without magazine) : with full upgrade, the saiga can just burst all of his shell in a sec without any recoil, and can be reload largely faster.
Mark 1 EMR is great. It's 1-shot headshot, 2 shot center mass, and holds 11 bullets at base with a good scope and decent hip-fire accuracy. I agree that the Super's bad, bolt-action is just too slow for real fights in this game, but the EMR is my go-to- for mid to long range.
You forgot to mention 762x 39 caliber And caliber conversions for some gun And you didn't mention additional attachments that some guns have and some guns don't have Vintar can change to full auto and you can get extendo mag for it
The best Combo is probably Dnipro, RAM-2 and Rhino or APSB and Kharod and SVU in your crate you can put a M203 on the Kharod or a Holemaker-L the best choice for 5,45 rifle with grenade launcher is probably the Grom S-15. I miss the Obokan from Shadow Of Chernobyl that was a great rifle
Lol there are no gauss rifles or something more exotic that could inflict some nice visual deaths on targets, like in fallout 4 where you can melt them, disintegrate them, etc.

You pronounce it with D, not "nipro" It literally means "Днепр" (in Russian), but Ukrainian language version "Днiпро". The Rhino is 9x39?! Skif's poor wrist! I wish you had gone back and corrected your dismissal of the Mac-10/Gordon from the last video. Because it fits in the sidearm slot, it gives you Insane DPS compared to almost any other pistol. Slap an extended mag on there and baby, you got a stew going.
Feel like the Mark EmR is overlooked at.. a Dimond in the rough, its got great upgrade potential and its one of the few guns thats deadly no matter the range. Can even mod it to go full auto, think theres an expanded Mag for it, silencer and the guns cheap to maintain. might not be the best sniper but its more akin of a battle rifle like an A3
what about caliber change upgrades? many weapons have this option also, an under-barrel shotgun can pretty much replace pump actions without costing weapon slot to me, the best weapons are the most versatile: 2 silenced rifles of different calibers (even semi-auto, since those usually still have amazing RoF), one set up for close-mid range, the second for mid-long range, one with the grenade launcher and one with the under-barrel shotgun (or the second grenade launcher). Shotguns are bad as long as they lack flechette ammo. Not to mention the loudness, which, once A-life gets fixed, will be a problem summoning everyone to your location. Only use Shotguns for extended periods of close-range combat (undergrounds, buildings).

In the shotgun category the Saiga is the best! Why? Because, if you have an extended mag you have a total of 13 shots (one less than the ram) and you have full auto!
Hard disagree on the integral a. Especially when it gets to later game and everyone has all that armour on. Its ammo is super plentiful so you dont need to worry about running out. Although you can change out the caliber if you want. You can get a bit more damage but the main benefit of it is the massive penetration. Only outclassed by the sniper rifles. Havent gotten the last tier oof weapons yet but its my best weapon right now.
@JF-vz1ju yes. The first time I got it out with the conversion, it kept saying 5.45x39 UNTIL I took the weapon out and reloaded it. It now says 7.62x39. It works pretty well, buy I still find myself going back to the AS-VAL. Ammo is more abundant. I wish more weapons were in 7.62x39 in the game.
how does the SVU-MK3 outclass the SVDM-2? its has lower dmg, lower pen and even a bit less range... the other 2 stats are the same... so yeah not sure what u looked at when u made that part lol also, its not always that simple, with the diff attachments and rechambers for some weapons, it realy depends
Does the RPM-74 even exist in this game? I've found plenty of 7.62 x 39 ammo that I've just been selling because it's so valuable, but yet to find a single weapon that can actually use it. The ammo description lists RPM-74 as the only weapon type.
I play sniper in every games. So im playing there sniper + shotgun. You forget mention that the unique weapons have more stats than the simple ones. For the shotguns i have the unique ram and the unique spas12. I tested the two. I feel the spas 12 better so i play with it. Also for snipers i play with m701 its the best sniper and good looking one. The Deluxe édition add a unique m701 and i Guess its better than the one i use of v anilla.
TLDR: The in game name for shotgun shells is weird and it's 12 gauge not inch. The M701 seeming to 1 shot kill with torso hits is impressive and can probably outperform just about any guns in terms of successive kills if you're accurate enough with it, I think the .308 guns just don't fit your playstyle (and probably most people's playstyle) which is why they feel bad to use and not worth the ammo to you. I know in game it the name for the shotgun shells are shown as 12"x76 but they are 100% NOT 12 inch lol. That would make them a foot and they are nowhere near a foot in any dimension, it's 12 gauge, which is less than an inch diameter. Also no mention of the 7.62x39? I have yet to find a gun that uses it but I'm finding the ammo and notice the RPK on display in vendors, so would that mean that's the only gun that uses it? A little surprised it wasn't at least mentioned as the only gun that uses it. I will say that going for headshots makes a HUGE difference in killing both mutants and people in this game, the fact that the M701 seemingly 1 shotting with body shots is actually impressive considering the bullet sponges that they are if you don't hit the head. Assuming you can hit each shot you can definitely kill enemies in more rapid succession than with any assault rifle, smg or shotgun even with the slower rate of fire (especially considering that would be 5 or 6 kills with no reload without headshots). The MK1 EMR I assume will 1 shot headshot from any range even on armored targets that would take 2 headshots with most 5.45 guns, if not all. I almost exclusively go for headshots so for me it seems almost ideal to guarantee a 1 shot headshot kill on people. I have yet to use either of these guns because I haven't found any that aren't damage but based on what's in this video they both seem to just be good for playstyles that are just not yours... Also with the current "spawn enemies 10m from you" system you don't get the advantage of range for random encounters. If they put A-life in I could see the long ranged guns really shining outside of pre-spawned enemies in bases.

VS Vintar 20 round mag is in the swamps at the Whomping Willow, makes it so much better

I have my gfx settings set to epic and when I wanted to get the "Lone shooter" Steam achi for a 75m headshot I noticed that I can barely see enemies at 85 range with most scopes and they simply disappear around 90m lol. I'd love to have some stealth sniper action with a Vintar/Lavina but the exaggerated early drop off just kills the fun...just like in previous games as I remember. Constantly getting body shots aiming at heads at ridiculously low distances by sniping standard just makes me forget the sniper fantasy and go back to my assault rifles and get closer and personal... Flat ammo can make them more viable, but those are rare and spending extra just to have a somewhat fun sniper exerience is sigh game design...
The reddit data dump shows that valiks ak has like half the durability of regular ak74s. Its genuinely a terrible weapon besides its scope. Its easy to headshot with. But terrible efficiency. I wonder if this guy is looking at the datamine to actually ser which weapons are better.

Please do a tier list of optimal armor and artifacts to run for different stages of the game as well pls. Your lists are really helpful when it comes to saving coupons and knowing what to upgrade.
-The "Partner" Mark 1 rifle with an extended mag is the best in the 308 category, the real issue with 308 is getting the ammo itself. Same issue with the machine guns in 7.62x39, the "Beast" machinegun in 5.45 could be a good choice but we don't get it until the very end of the game so not much point recommending it.
-Kharod converted to 5.45 is quite good, possibly better than Dnipro depending on your preferences since it can have an underbarrel.
-Saiga D12 with the drum mag is tops for shotguns.
-Lots of people sleep on the APSB but it's a beast of a pistol and still uses the cheap and easy 9x18 ammo.
what about the M701 super with the shotgun underbarrel? it has a magazine so it reloads quick, so you're covered in close and medium/high range. its essentially a 2-in-1 weapon.
It’s clear that the penetration stat is the most important, I think the game progression is linked to the pen stat over the damage stat for sure.

About shotguns, in my opinion, this is where good development shines:
The Saiga, while objectively the best shotgun, makes using the others feel good and fun, even if their statistics are not as good.

I have to say, that the integral is a damn good weapon! Important is:" Use the tribble shot fire Mode"! Give a headshot with it and even armored targets are down, because the fire rate is so high, all 3 shots hit 100% guaranteed! Can be used right a killer!
Not to mention it doesn't suffer from randomized bullet spray when hip firing or moving. I don't even need to ads most of the time. It can also convert to .45 which drops alot.
Personally, I run through the game looting EVERYTHING. Never have an ammo issue because I keep multiples of every firearm for every ammo type. Whatever ammo I have the most of, that's what I run till I run low on it.
I horded so much ammo due to using the clusterfk, only headshot after headshot, even if repair costs are high you barely need to use it in fights ... the AP ammo gives you one shot kill.
The stats for the SVU-MK S-3 and SVDM-2 contradict what you say about them. You get the SVU way later so of course it's better.
A lot of this guns can be obtained early. Already in garbage enemies can drop VS Vintar, and you will find one in the swamp. The AS Lavina could also be get early if you want to fight a Control mutant. Grom S-14 can also be obtained if you continue to explore the Chemical Plant area.
Why are we forgetting about the SPSA-14? Can be obtained early, but not upgraded until you reach mid point, or at least the Rostok technician.
I feel like these "best" weapons guides dont go enough into detail. There are other factors that play a big role. For example weight, ammo availability, ammo cost, repair cost and synergy. For example...why do i need a Rhino if i already have a Ram or Saiga? Why use any SMG if ARs are really easy and early to get?
Listened to both of these and, yeah he's treating it like a pure numbers game without considering how these things actually perform when you use them. "viper-5 is useless" doesn't hold up when you can put it on burst and headshot people left and right. Plus it's pretty damn light.

Saiga, just being mag fed already made it win. You can get an extended mag n have 12+1 n be fore efficient killing machine. If lucky, you can find the drum mag, I haven’t yet
The rams damage is actually higher per shot it just doesn't show as both say max damage, just like the gauss gun says max damage but each shot is still much higher than the shotguns themselves.
There is no drum mag, thats only for Ultimate edition.
The Ratkiller aka unique Zubr-19 is also very good because you use cheaper and more easy to by ammo. The same ammo to your starting PM. I used it with penetrating bullets and lets just say 6 mercs with combat armor were very quick to die.
You recommend the SVU-MK-S3 stating it outclasses the SVDM-2, but the stats on screen speak otherwise. Am I missing something?

The stats do not add up and are likely either just straight up wrong or have some type of "per class" logic. As an example, several in the AR family will get a bit over "3" in damage. This is the same or very close to the same "damage rating" as the mark 1 upgraded, which he talks about in the video. The thing is, the mark one kills mutants in far less shots. I counted 2 to a flesh vs 5 from AR. The same can be said for tons of others also. This was all using "regular" ammo. So... either the bullets also have damage that just isn't stated in the game, or their numbers are wrong. The mark 1 is still bad for the record anyway but the whole "some smgs outdamage it" I don't think is reality, it's what the numbers say but it's wrong.
"Dnipro" is with O being stressed, not I.
At 5:37 you show mismatched pairs of weapon names and stats, you swapped them. I also think you should be comparing Dnipro to Grom S-15, since it's better than Fora-221
underrated 5.56: the special pre suppressed m4 tht u find in that one biulding, decent dps, very fun and up to a 60 round mag with ammo that isnt too hard to find, may not be the best but its my favourite

I'm so glad they reworked the repair mechanic. I'm running one fully modded AKS74U for the whole game. Maybe upgrading to the Spitfire onee I get it. Nothing beats the rule of cool.
I like the Kharod as Assault Rifle, and I travel with a Saiga using AP and a Ram2 using Expansive, so Saiga for AP midrange combat and Ram2 for close combat, the Kharod with silencer for opening the battle with a few kills before engaging with shotguns
M701 is OP in Pripyat Region w/ suppressor of course. Next level satisfaction hitting those Monolithian heads 😃

you forgot to talk about the spas or the spsa14 shotgun , its basicly just a better semi auto version of the m860 but since the reload takes forever the saiga still out classes it (Also there is one benefit that the Gordon has and that is that is can be equipped to your pistol slot and having a 40 round smg as a back up isnt to shabby)
APSB is better by far in the stats and uses 9x18 and with extended mag 30 rounds

So the Super can actually take the underbarrel shotgun attachment from Malachite's shop. That fixes it at close range.
Also, the damage is still phenomenal and good for turning Burer and Controller heads into a fine paste.

Stealth is nonexistent in this game. Even when ya stealth kill and npc in a separate room or far away from the group, the enemy npc will instantly lock on to your position. Plus they can see you through plants and have amazing accuracy.
8:46 Ram does like 20 more dmg than saiga from what I've heard. Check out the weapon stats spreadsheet.

I have the integral in Garbage and its a joy to run around, single shot or burst and enemies drops. Cheap ammo and it is precise with it. Cant complain and will use it for a while, I can feel. Will have to see when I get a zubr. Or when I will find a good AR that can get some mods.
There's one more extremely fast and powerful semi-auto shotgun SPSA-14, and also there's Holemaker-L -- an underbarrel attachment shotgun for assault rifles like Kharod.
I have been using TROPHY as my primary with a Rhino as my pistol, both use 9x39. The trophy (special ak/as val type) has high fire rate and dps but you can also single fire it, also it’s silenced which is great. The rhino pistol is an absolute monster revolver that can 1 tap enemies, it’s like a cannon. Then you can run a shotty or sniper/Dmr as your 2nd primary…pretty cool load out 🫡

Thanks, you helped me pick my goal setup - currently running a Integral-A with Silencer, Enhanced Mag and Scope shreds pretty good + M860 Cracker with a Mag (the one you find on the crate) plus Stiffs Pistol with a Silencer fully upgraded (honestly overperforming! - i made entire fights on highest dif with that thing)
BUT my endgame build will be
Pistol: Rhino
Assault Rifle: Kharod
Shotgun: SAIGA if I like it more than my M860
I'm currently not seeing endgame without a shotgun so not really sure what I would swap in instead
Pretty close to what I ended up running at endgame, except I dropped the Saiga for the Whip SVU and put an underbarrel shotgun on the Kharod.
A stat you can't see is damage fall-off. The rhino has a big damage fall-off.
If you do the Arena and let the champ pick your your weapon, he gives you a rhino. Using that at range is fail as you can empty the thing in his head but if you dodge & run in close, it will 2-3 shot him and that's only half way across the arena. So if you need any range for a pistol, the rhino is a tough choice.
The RAM is seriously under the SAIGA (even without magazine) : with full upgrade, the saiga can just burst all of his shell in a sec without any recoil, and can be reload largely faster.
Mark 1 EMR is great. It's 1-shot headshot, 2 shot center mass, and holds 11 bullets at base with a good scope and decent hip-fire accuracy. I agree that the Super's bad, bolt-action is just too slow for real fights in this game, but the EMR is my go-to- for mid to long range.

Yeah, that was my thought exactly. Vintar is a mid sniper rifle, but it can pretty effectively be used as assault rifle if you have the extended mag.

The best Combo is probably Dnipro, RAM-2 and Rhino or APSB and Kharod and SVU in your crate you can put a M203 on the Kharod or a Holemaker-L the best choice for 5,45 rifle with grenade launcher is probably the Grom S-15. I miss the Obokan from Shadow Of Chernobyl that was a great rifle
I been using the Trophy gun it’s a bad ass fully automatic weapon I like using it in single shot though to save repair coast.
Lol there are no gauss rifles or something more exotic that could inflict some nice visual deaths on targets, like in fallout 4 where you can melt them, disintegrate them, etc.

I wish you had gone back and corrected your dismissal of the Mac-10/Gordon from the last video. Because it fits in the sidearm slot, it gives you Insane DPS compared to almost any other pistol. Slap an extended mag on there and baby, you got a stew going.

The Texan Ram-12 is easily the best shotgun. 2shots bloodsuckers whereas the saiga takes 4
Feel like the Mark EmR is overlooked at.. a Dimond in the rough, its got great upgrade potential and its one of the few guns thats deadly no matter the range. Can even mod it to go full auto, think theres an expanded Mag for it, silencer and the guns cheap to maintain. might not be the best sniper but its more akin of a battle rifle like an A3

also, an under-barrel shotgun can pretty much replace pump actions without costing weapon slot
to me, the best weapons are the most versatile:
2 silenced rifles of different calibers (even semi-auto, since those usually still have amazing RoF), one set up for close-mid range, the second for mid-long range, one with the grenade launcher and one with the under-barrel shotgun (or the second grenade launcher).
Shotguns are bad as long as they lack flechette ammo. Not to mention the loudness, which, once A-life gets fixed, will be a problem summoning everyone to your location. Only use Shotguns for extended periods of close-range combat (undergrounds, buildings).
Saiga d is better that that spas14 shotgun? I managed to get them both, and just about to enter sircaa. Cant upgrade neither yet.

I personally use AP for semi auto guns / aim for weak points and normal ammo for auto (slug sor all shoties, of course)

In the shotgun category the Saiga is the best! Why? Because, if you have an extended mag you have a total of 13 shots (one less than the ram) and you have full auto!
Hard disagree on the integral a. Especially when it gets to later game and everyone has all that armour on. Its ammo is super plentiful so you dont need to worry about running out. Although you can change out the caliber if you want. You can get a bit more damage but the main benefit of it is the massive penetration. Only outclassed by the sniper rifles. Havent gotten the last tier oof weapons yet but its my best weapon right now.

The only gun that uses 7.62x39 is the LMG, so there's no competition.

@JF-vz1ju yes. The first time I got it out with the conversion, it kept saying 5.45x39 UNTIL I took the weapon out and reloaded it. It now says 7.62x39.
It works pretty well, buy I still find myself going back to the AS-VAL. Ammo is more abundant. I wish more weapons were in 7.62x39 in the game.

how does the SVU-MK3 outclass the SVDM-2? its has lower dmg, lower pen and even a bit less range... the other 2 stats are the same... so yeah not sure what u looked at when u made that part lol
also, its not always that simple, with the diff attachments and rechambers for some weapons, it realy depends

Does the RPM-74 even exist in this game? I've found plenty of 7.62 x 39 ammo that I've just been selling because it's so valuable, but yet to find a single weapon that can actually use it. The ammo description lists RPM-74 as the only weapon type.

I play sniper in every games. So im playing there sniper + shotgun. You forget mention that the unique weapons have more stats than the simple ones. For the shotguns i have the unique ram and the unique spas12. I tested the two. I feel the spas 12 better so i play with it. Also for snipers i play with m701 its the best sniper and good looking one. The Deluxe édition add a unique m701 and i Guess its better than the one i use of v anilla.

TLDR: The in game name for shotgun shells is weird and it's 12 gauge not inch. The M701 seeming to 1 shot kill with torso hits is impressive and can probably outperform just about any guns in terms of successive kills if you're accurate enough with it, I think the .308 guns just don't fit your playstyle (and probably most people's playstyle) which is why they feel bad to use and not worth the ammo to you.
I know in game it the name for the shotgun shells are shown as 12"x76 but they are 100% NOT 12 inch lol. That would make them a foot and they are nowhere near a foot in any dimension, it's 12 gauge, which is less than an inch diameter. Also no mention of the 7.62x39? I have yet to find a gun that uses it but I'm finding the ammo and notice the RPK on display in vendors, so would that mean that's the only gun that uses it? A little surprised it wasn't at least mentioned as the only gun that uses it.
I will say that going for headshots makes a HUGE difference in killing both mutants and people in this game, the fact that the M701 seemingly 1 shotting with body shots is actually impressive considering the bullet sponges that they are if you don't hit the head. Assuming you can hit each shot you can definitely kill enemies in more rapid succession than with any assault rifle, smg or shotgun even with the slower rate of fire (especially considering that would be 5 or 6 kills with no reload without headshots). The MK1 EMR I assume will 1 shot headshot from any range even on armored targets that would take 2 headshots with most 5.45 guns, if not all. I almost exclusively go for headshots so for me it seems almost ideal to guarantee a 1 shot headshot kill on people. I have yet to use either of these guns because I haven't found any that aren't damage but based on what's in this video they both seem to just be good for playstyles that are just not yours... Also with the current "spawn enemies 10m from you" system you don't get the advantage of range for random encounters. If they put A-life in I could see the long ranged guns really shining outside of pre-spawned enemies in bases.
Yeah the saiga 12 is far better then the Ram 2.. mag reload and fire rate goes a long way in this game.
