  • Have you ever read a book, listened to a podcast, or watched a video and thought, “man that was so good. They made so many great points,” but then realized you can’t remember 95% of the points that were made? I know I have, and it's not fun. Though the content you consumed was amazing and inspiring, you feel it was all useless and a waste of time, because you can’t use it. And indeed it was, unless of course, you know how to use one of these, the rather uncommon commonplace book
In this video, I will explain what exactly a commonplace book is, the benefits of having one today, and how to keep one for yourself. I’ll also disclose a bonus tip you should try before creating your own.

Indeed Chase, in our age of the Internet, our brain cannot manage as much information. Your clever idea of using a book (to write down the essentials of this information) is a suitable solution to correct this weakness. 📖👍

Excellent suggestion and my opinion is that they are very good.
    - I am unfortunately lost on this point. Tried so many times and forgot all my notebooks. Nevertheless, God gives me reminders of what to remember that is good to remember. And often it is quite a lot later than I would like. But with God on the team, it always comes at the right time.
    Thank you for sharing Brother💯🙏💯

ayy I made it before 100 subs
commonplace book but relatively uncommon videos lol
I like how you mentioned the fact that people can pass them on; as historically that was incredibly valuable; and also something seniors should consider today.
How do you feel about the method some people use where they have one book as a sort of intake on the specific books, and then a second book for individual ideas from the original notes?
somewhat unrelated: the chapters of your video felt really good to watch - how did you plan them?

Hey there brother! Thanks for the encouragement!
      1. I actually like that idea! Tbh I am a bit disorganized when it comes to jotting down reflections.😅 I write them down on whatever I have on hand and tell myself I'll organize them later, but never do. SO... I might just try that.😁
      2. Thanks! It's been a learning process, but I've found writing down my main goals for the video helps me shape the chapters. For example, for this video I wrote:
"What’s the point?: The goal of this video is to explain the commonplace book, the idea behind it, its benefits, and how to keep one."
Then I just broke those ideas up into sections. :) Hope that helped!
      Thanks for the comment!😁
