I really like your video style 🙂👍 (a mix of little things like taking care of your plants, maintaining, styling them, as well as the products that you use.). I also appreciate that you offer tips here and there, so watching the video is not only entertaining but also educational. Great presentation, Becca ! If I could give you a million likes, I would. 😉 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
I appreciate this so much, thank you! I love this style of filming the most, it feels the most natural and I can talk about a lot of things in a relaxed and casual way 🥰🥰
It´s insane that you only started with UA-cam a few weeks ago because the quality of your videos are SO GOOD! I really love the cozy feeling that your videos have. Perfect for the most cozy time of the year fall and Christmas. I love this idea of show some things from the passing week. You made everything come together so nicely in this video. I could go on for hours but I stop here 😅😘
thank youuuuuuuuuu 🥹🥹 this means so much to me!!! Hehehe I tried really hard to improve the quality and I am so glad it shows! And I really enjoy filming in this format, it feels easy and natural so I think that helps me when I am putting it all together too 🥰
These are super fun and relaxing. The planty shelf looks so good. Good taste for sure. Your new pots are so cute and pretty! Can’t wait to see the pot tour hehe, yay! 😊
Well done! Your plant shelf looks beautiful. I completely agree on the vertical space between shelves being a consideration. Plants grow! I watched your other video with the Thiccly poles and ended up ordering some myself. I added my first one this weekend. I really like them. One thing I particularly liked is that I could put the pole down in the pot and fill the part that goes under the soil with soil! Then I added the moss only on the section above the soil level. It's really easy to push the moss down into the pole even after it's folded into form. I also want to say that your hack for using wire to hold up the leaves has been a game changer for me. Thanks!
ahhh yay!!! Yes, that's one of the many reasons why I love the Thiccly poles and why I've switched almost exclusively to them for all my plants! I also install mine the same way - pouring soil in first them stuffing with moss later on, I just use a really long stick to incrementally shove the moss in hahaha! And the poles are super stable too, if installed correctly. So glad you like their poles! I will pass it on to them 😁 And I'm happy the wire hack works for you too!
ahhhh thank you so much!!! When I started my channel, I knew right away that I wanted to get my audio just right; I feel the same way whenever I watch a video. Good audio is so important for the overall experience hehehe
I have those same lights and omg my plants love it. I love the little switch because I have like 4 on one shelf and you can lower the anoint of light in there by just turning a few off
Very grateful for this video, I have the exact same problem when connecting my Barina T5 lights… now I can get one of those connectors and free up an outlet 🎉 thank you 🙏
Wow, what a beautiful and massive plat shelf! 😄 I love the way you styled it also! Lots of room for plants and lighting also. 😊 Maybe you can do a video on your planters also! I really like the one on the top right level with the anthurium in it. Where did you get it?
Hi Bekka, I’m so happy that you made a YT! I love your IG content and videos. ❤ Do you mind sharing the links for your new plant shelf and the IKEA lamp at the top?
How brave of you to cut your ‘favorite’ plant 😳 but now you have 2!! Love how you set up your new shelf . Beautiful and efficient how you set up the lighting , plants and decor. Lovely 🥰
I kept putting it off for the longest time but the sodiroi had just gotten too unwieldy so it had to be done, but you're right, now I have two! Thank you so much hehe
So glad I found your channel. We have similar aesthetics and I get inspired by your various setups! So clean! So chill! Keep it up. I'll watch every video.
Thank you! I'll try! If there's a lot of stuff I want to talk about in a single video I don't mind making a longer video 😁 I'm not sure if people prefer longer/shorter videos, personally I find a middle ground is easier for me to watch in one sitting 🤔
I only use the Light Dim strips if I know the plants are going to be growing close to the lights! They do reduce the intensity of the light so yes, the plants will be getting less light. If your light is far enough from the plants, you don't need to use the Dim strips 😁
Beautiful plants collection. I like your thought process in organizing the plants and the setting from lights to cable management. Normally how long will you keep the grow light on? 😊
Thank you! Normally I keep them on for about 12-14 hours, and I have them hooked to a wifi plug that I can control remotely and set routines with. Right now it's set to turn itself on at 7 am and shuts itself off at around 8 pm!
I nEver notice things like editing but on I love how you assemble (is that the right word🤔) your videos! Also where do you get all your adorable knit sweaters from?! I love them!!
Beautiful beautiful! I watch your videos for inspiration and relaxation 💗💗💗 I noticed you have these chic clear rectangular planters at the bottom shelf of your plant shelf, I assume for a philo gloriousum, was wondering where you got them from?
Thank you for watching! For the crawlers in soil, I have them in an acrylic planter with drainage that I got from Amazon, I have my wishlist linked in the description and you can find it there! 😁 For the gloriosum in leca, I use a fridge drawer I got from the dollar store hahaha
sometimes, we need to do what is best for our mental health and selling your plants and shelves was exactly what you needed at the time to take care of you ❤ I hope you're feeling better now, and a similar shelf will always be available and the re-growing your plants will be such a rewarding journey! Hugs 🥰
Love your new plant shelf and all your plants actually! Thanks for creating this wonderful youtube channel and show us your magic!🥰 Where did you get the shelf from btw?
suggestion: keep doing what you do, is very original to do more of a casual (maybe is not the most adequate word) of video like yours; just laying your thought process... 10/10
Thank you! 🥹 I really enjoy filming in this format more, it feels more me and not forced at all ☺ it's a good feeling and I am happy I can share that with everyone!
I am so happy with my shelf and I love the light shade so much, I told my husband to trust me when I bought it - he had his doubts but I think he loves it now too! hehehehe Thank you so much! ❤❤
hello! I linked the moss pole in the description, the poles are by @growthiccly on Instagram, they have an online shop based in Singapore, and they are also now available on Amazon CA and US! If you click the link on my description it will take you directly to the listing 😁
Where are you bekka... I just found your channel and watched all the videos🥲 I love them and want more!!!!! I hope you are not having any trouble and look forwarf to see you soon ❤ sincerely from Korea
I love your channel!!! I recently got into plants, I see you have two cats as well:) how do you make sure they atr not biting the plant or anything as some can be toxic
I am pretty lucky because they ignore the plants for the most part! I find cats in general seem to be drawn to trailing plants, dangling plants, and grass like plants. So those plants I keep higher up or out of reach. I also grow cat grass for them in their own pot and they would much rather nibble on that than my houseplants; I think cats are naturally drawn to grass because that is what they nibble on in the wild to aid their digestion 😁 and finally, I just give them both equal attention! Sometimes they like to give my plants a test chomp whenever they feel like I've been ignoring them, it's like they know it'll catch my attention haha! Hope this helps!
I really need help reporting this Crystallinum I’m reporting this moment. I can’t find any videos on detailed repotting and what to do if leaves turn yellow on anthuriums when’s it okay to cut them and where do I cut them? I also have no idea why the roots like to grow on top of the pot even if there not ready to be repotted. Etc etc so many questions . I am so stressed right now I wish I could call you for help!! LOL
anthurium are actually climbers and semi epiphytic, that's why you see the roots growing above the soil line even though it's not time for a repot! What you can do is wrap some damp moss around the nodes - similar to a climbing philodendron - or you could even give it a pole but they dont climb fast enough to warrant that. Repotting it is the same as any regular houseplant, but you wanna just make sure your mix is chunky and well draining, but still able to hold on to enough moisture between waterings. I don't have a specific recipe for my mix but a lot of good ones come up when you google "chunky aroid mix". An easy alternative is just to use regular potting mix - I recommend Pro mix - then amend it by adding some chunky perlite and orchid bark to give it a bit more aeration! For yellowing, that is normal if it's an older leaf, this is called leaf senescence and it's a natural process of the plant shedding older leaves to recycle it for new growth. I usually let those yellow and fall off naturally. If you choose to cut, just cut under the base of the leaf and not too far down the stem because new leaves may come out from the stem and you don't want to cut that off. If the yellow is happening on newer leaves or is random, you might have a watering problem or a pest problem. Diagnosing is hard to do online so you will have to observe on your own and trace your steps to see what may have gone wrong to cause your plant to yellow, and once you figure out the cause then you can treat accordingly 😁 Hope this helps a bit!
I think plants should enhance the living space and not take over it or look unkempt. I really dislike some setups people have - hoards of plastic nursery pots with leggy plants placed in dark corners. I think plants deserve good light and a nice pot.
Hello fellow Winnipegger! I just discovered your channel and I’m enjoying your plant and styling content. I have similar aesthetic to styling my plants in that I want them incorporated into the decor and not taking over the house lol! So nice to have a local plant UA-camr finally. I’ll have to check out your Instagram as well!
Feeling so calm and cosy, watching your videos 🙌🤗💚

Love the S-shape technique. Always learning something new from you that's different from other UA-camrs.
thank you! I am happy you found it helpful!
I'm sorry, I know this video is about plants, but your audio is impeccable!! It's so good, makes the video so enjoyable

@@HerPlantStories Yes absolutely - it's something that Hank Green mentioned years ago and it's stuck with me. Good audio = engaged audience!
I’m obsessed with your plant shelf 😍
Thank you! I am so happy with how it turned out!
I love watching your plant videos! Can you share the link to your new plant shelf? I love it.
So glad you enjoy my videos! I updated the links in my description to include the shelf 🥰

Love your content so far. Vancouver to Winnipeg wow. I’m in Alberta.
Hehehe yeah, it was quite the move! Packing up the plants and taking them in the car with me was stressful but I'm happy we survived the trip!
What a set! Lovely🤩
Thank you so much!
Your cats made me nervous playing by your albos 😹
Hahahaha they made me nervous too! I didn't expect Andy to zoom directly underneath them, I felt my soul leave my body for a bit lol

Where do you buy your clear rectangle pots? It's so hard to find rectangle planters for crawlers.
the clear pot is from Amazon amzn.to/3C8MguY the price fluctuates a lot but the cheapest I have seen it go for is about $35!
Where did you but those glass rectangular pot ?Do they have holes .?

I use Final Cut Pro 😊
where did you get the gold picture frames
The frames are by Umbra 😁
Sorry if it was mentioned in the video somewhere, I might not have noticed, but what plant is the one on the bottom left in the thumbnail?
haha I had to squint at my thumbnail to see! Lol it's a Hoya Mathilde splash 😆
